Hotel Aqua

Location right on the beach very short wall to restaurants and shps. Very clean and tidy. Staff excellent. Rooms lovey shame no sea view and balcony a but small. But can't do anything about that because of location. Beds massive & very comfy.

Checked ✔️ in the hotel 🏨 . What a gross 🤢 one 1️⃣. The room is cramped with no desk or table. Mattress is flimsy like 👍 those from Fantastic Furniture 🪑 level in Sydney. Bed head is made of some cheap metal spring. Bedside table is smaller than a milk 🥛 crate. No vanity in the bathroom 🚽 - only a sink. WiFi in the room is sketchy. Cups are made of thin plastic, so thin that you can flatten it even when holding it up ⬆️ when drinking, more flimsy than a takeaway coffee cup ☕️. Breakfast 🥞 is awful 😞. Overall it’s a grotesque experience from head to toe. Tour member reminded me to request a chance of room as some of them did get an okay 👍 one 1️⃣. I followed the advice and finally got a better one 1️⃣ in the second night of my stay. Hence my TripAdvisor rating has changed from 1/5 to 3/5. At least they have make some improvement. They have an awesome view on the balcony.

Just returned from an amazing 8 nights at Hotel Aqua. It was myself and my boyfriends first holiday in Turkey and we were so impressed. The location and views of Icmeler bay are just beautiful. We paid for a side sea view room and when booking with easyJet holidays we requested a high floor with a double bed which we received and would definitely pay and request for again. Check in was straightforward and our luggage was taken to our rooms and the bellboy kindly explained the room and that the mini bar/safe were included and how to work the aircon etc. The aircon wasn’t amazing but it was extremely hot this week and the room maintained a fairly comfortable temperature throughout the day (without leaving AC on all day, we always turned it off when we left). The mini bar was topped up every day which we really appreciated. Bed was always made and fresh towels provided. Unfortunately, there is no iron in the room or available at all, only paid laundry service, so we took a travel iron. The room was spacious for us as a couple, and the bed was huge and comfy but on the firm side. There was sufficient storage space and a good amount of hangers. The bathroom was good with a large shower. There were tea/coffee making facilities but we did not use these. The food was good for an all inclusive, there was a good amount of choice, however it was slightly repetitive and not very hot. The signs were small and often quite vague. Loved the coffee corner by the pool, the iced white mocha was delicious! The snack bar and ice cream were great too, so you were never hungry. The animation team were brill, encouraged everyone to get involved but weren’t overbearing at all. Daytime activities included darts, boccia, waterpolo/volleyball and airsoft shooting etc. I would say the bingo/raffle etc seemed very expensive. Bingo was 300TL (~£7.50) for one card, raffle was 250TL, and the prizes were a bit meh. There were a couple of cash prizes but it was mostly discounts off the spa/hairdressers, free piercing etc. which I imagine not everyone would appreciate. We absolutely loved the dream girls and white party on Friday night and the comedy unicyclist performer followed by the dance group on Sunday. The staff at the hotel are amazing. We were blown away by their attentiveness and kindness. The restaurant and bar staff work so hard to ensure you always had a drink and the cleaners kept the hotel spotless, including the outdoor toilets. Special shout-out to the lovely Burcu (I hope I’ve got that right!) and the rest of the Palm Bar team who always looked after us in the evenings at the entertainment even when it was super busy. The private beach is absolutely perfect, there was always plenty of loungers/parasols. The shoreline is stoney to begin with but then becomes sandy with some larger rocks. This was our second stay the previous being in Sept 2023. The staff and the food are the star attractions of this hotel. The dining experience was a delight with an excellent range of food available to match European tastes. The food was supported with outstanding waiting staff, the best we have seen in any hotel, they had the correct amount of banter matched to top quality service. We did not need to go to the a la carte restaurant. The range of drinks and snacks was also very acceptable although we found the opening/closing times of the snack and ice cream bars annoying, would have preferred to see them permanently open. All areas of the hotel were kept spotlessly clean although the image at the front of the hotel is weak and also the smaller grass areas towards the promenade required attention. Our bedroom was acceptable and the housekeeping was excellent. The towels were very thin and worn looking as were the provided dressing gowns which we did not use. We would recommend seeking a quiet room as there is much entertainment in the hotel and surrounding establishments which can create a ding if your preference is for an early night. We also availed of the services of the hairdresser, store, and jewellery store (see separate review) which again were all excellent and provided all we required for a wonderful stay. We did not use the sunbeds at poolside as we felt they were too tight together plus many were booked during the prior evening, something we thoroughly detest. The Aqua beach is an excellent option with room to turn the beds to follow the sun, the sea was a delight and we had drinks offered mid morning and afternoon. Sadly we are unsure if Icmeler is the resort for us, it requires better quality shopping and other attractions but we would be very happy to return to the Aqua Hotel. On average we have 6 holidays per year staying usually at 5* hotels and we found the Aqua Hotel to be an enjoyable experience mainly due to the excellent staff although with some refinement it could be better.

Best Hotel I have ever stayed in and have been travelling for more than 40 years. We couldn't pick fault with anything. Excellent location, friendly staff, lovely food and drinks. The staff are very attentive and everywhere was clean. We could recommend this hotel to anyone and we are hoping to book again later this year. We have been spoiled for life now and will return year after year, thank you hotel aqua x

Have to say after reading all the reviews on this hotel we were very surprised ! Firstly we had to change rooms 3 times, we found the reception staff to be quite rude and were made to feel like an inconvenience. But the food was the worst issue. Being far from fussy eaters there was not a lot of choice and was often cold, the vegetables were like mush, I think it’s the worst AI I have ever stayed in. Even tho the general areas were clean our room wasn’t so good. The bathroom wasn’t cleaned for the last 4 days. On a good point the staff were lovely, especially George round the pool who couldn’t do enough for you. Also the entertainment on a whole was good. But unfortunately we won’t be returning and think if the other guests were honest neither it would help the hotel greatly.
