"The hotel room was clean, spacious, and clearly recently renovated. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We were able to store our luggage safely in a locked baggage room. The hotel grounds are beautiful, with clean and very attractive pool areas surrounded by lush plants. In the early evening, you can even see fruit bats flying over the property, which adds a special touch to the atmosphere. The hotel is a bit further away from the city centre, but only 15min from the airport."

"The reception lady was very unfriendly. She did not explain to me how I could be able to get hot water as no kettle was not provided. They should give guidance to let me figure out what to do with this as it should be available. The hotel should make this little improvement so that customers can enjoy more without much uncertainty!"

"I really didn't expect the room to be so huge and spacious. It felt more like an apartment than a hotel, so I had to ask the front desk about many things, like getting fresh towels. However, the hotel's location is extremely convenient, especially for getting to the Great Barrier Reef ferry terminal, which is only about a 10-minute walk away."

"We arrived after office hours and appreciated that the check-in process was straightforward and easy to follow. However, the park's location is a bit far from supermarkets and major attractions, which made getting around less convenient for us. The facilities are mostly shared and not quite suitable for our needs. Unfortunately, all better-equipped units were fully booked, so we couldn't upgrade. We also found the Wi-Fi signal in the room to be quite weak. Due to these factors, we decided to cut our stay short and checked out after just one night."

Our room was clean, spacious, and brightly lit, with a comfortable layout and a balcony that opened to lovely views. The location couldn’t be better: easy walking distance to major tour departure points, the Esplanade, and many great restaurants. The convenience of a self‑service laundry room was another big plus during our travels. Overall, this hotel delivered comfort, convenience, and exceptional service. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Cairns."

"Staying at the DoubleTree by Hilton Cairns for 3 nights across two rooms, I genuinely feel it offers exceptional value for money! Upon arrival at the front desk for check-in, we were immediately greeted with warm chocolate chip cookies. Having just gotten off the plane and feeling a bit hungry, it was such a welcoming touch. The front desk staff was incredibly friendly and thoughtfully arranged for our rooms to be on the same floor, which was incredibly convenient for traveling with elderly parents and children. The rooms themselves were clean and tidy, with good views and scenery. Breakfast was fresh with a wide variety of choices, and the service staff were all very friendly. Downstairs, there's a restaurant and a ping-pong table, which our kids absolutely loved playing with. Unfortunately, we didn't get a chance to try the swimming pool. Its location is another huge plus: Right across the street is the aquarium, and it's just a 5-minute walk to the beach. Walking to the marina for boat trips takes about 10–15 minutes, making it convenient to get everywhere. Overall, the experience was fantastic. For family travelers, this is absolutely the perfect choice!"

"Friendly, helpful check-in. The man at the counter offered extra towels when he heard we were taking a trip to the Great Barrier Reef. Paid a little extra for an upgrade as we wanted to check in early. Room was fine temperature and bed comfort-wise. It was a little bit dark when in the room at night. Also, there are no type c or plug ins next to the bed, just old style USB. We didn’t have breakfast but enjoyed a drink in one of the cocktail bars by the pool. Would recommend and stay again for its cost and location."

Pros - Great location - All the front desk staff are kind - The barbecue set that you can borrow for free includes many types of tongs, oil, salt, and pepper - Soft toilet paper - Many types of coffee and tea are available. There is also milk in the refrigerator - A wide variety of bathroom amenities such as shampoo and moisturizing balm - The bathtub is large. The hot water comes out quickly, so you can fill it up quickly - Drinking water is provided at the front desk, so it was nice that I didn't have to buy it separately The information I wanted was not clearly stated in advance (It would have been even better if the following issues had been resolved, but overall I was very satisfied.) - No pajamas or bathrobes - No microwave - No knives or tableware included in the barbecue set (I bought steak meat, but I didn't have a knife and couldn't bite it) - No spray-type deodorant
