"The hotel's location is a bit remote, but that's typical for hot spring hotels. I communicated with the front desk a few days before arrival. I sent them my high-speed rail information and scheduled a pickup at Changbaishan Station. So, despite the somewhat remote location, the hotel's shuttle service was excellent.
The front desk staff were also very good. When I arrived, I had intended for the front desk to book a rafting trip for me, but it turned out the hotel's contract with the rafting company had expired, so we had to sort it out ourselves. (I had inquired with the front desk a week prior, and they said it could be arranged there. I was surprised to find upon arrival that the hotel had just canceled its contract with the rafting company.) I want to be clear, I'm not blaming the hotel; it was just bad luck. I do hope the hotel can continue to assist out-of-towners in the future, as foreigners often face difficulties booking things in China without local phone numbers.
I wanted to see Tianchi Lake, but it was closed all three days I was there. Rafting was also out. So, I ended up staying at the hotel. However, I enjoyed several hot spring baths, visited the gym, and the hotel can also arrange skiing for you. We didn't go skiing because we had elderly people with us. So, staying at the hotel wasn't bad at all.
There are only two restaurants: a Korean restaurant and the hotel's buffet. The food was good, but the dinner shrimp seemed to be limited. I arrived at 7:30 PM and only got two shrimp, while my dad got five. Then there were none left, and the restaurant staff didn't replenish them.
The room was very large and clean. I particularly liked the rooms at this hotel. The hot spring has both indoor and outdoor sections. I might return in the future."

"Very good stay here. The staff will contact you few days before check in to confirm your arrival as there will be driver to pick you up at the train station. Its free. The reception staff even helped us book Changbaishan ticket for the next day. So its very convenient for us tourist whom are not very familiar. Even booked the driver to fetch us to multiple attractions and location. Paid a good price. Very good driver. However take note which car the driver is driving as i paid a premium for a big car for two of us.
Breakfast was alright nothing amazing. Location is very good. Walkable to Elderweiss roughly 10minutes away and to YungDing street. Can DIDI anywhere so cheap. Theres halal pull noodle in walking distance. So tasty. So near to Changbaishan Mountain north visitor center like 5minutes drive or 15min walk"

"This hot spring hotel is only a ten-minute drive from the high-speed rail station, making it perfect if you don't want to travel far into the mountains for a soak. I highly recommend the outdoor hot springs; there are far fewer people than indoors, and it's not cold at all if you briefly step out of the water – just be careful not to get your hair wet. The breakfast selection was quite diverse.
Aside from the hot springs and various perks, the hotel itself is pretty average. The room decor is very plain, there are no smart controls, and not even a smart toilet. The most critical issue is the terrible soundproofing; you can hear everything happening outside the door crystal clear."

"Had an amazing time soaking in the hot springs here; the Changbai Mountain hot springs are truly delightful. The VIP access is an absolute lifesaver – no need to wake up early to visit Changbai Mountain! The butler service was incredibly thoughtful and attentive, and they even upgraded us to a mountain view room for free, which offered stunning views. They also helped us book the buffet and arranged a car to town. Their responses were super prompt. The only minor points were that the hotel mattress was a bit soft for my liking, and I was surprised there were no complimentary drinks or welcome fruit in the mini-bar. Other than that, everything was perfect!"

"The accommodation and dining at Mei Ju were quite good, located in an independent building next to a small park. We chose a deluxe twin room with a balcony and floor-to-ceiling windows facing the park, offering a nice view. The TV was large, but watching movies required a membership. The location was a bit far from the main street, so the front desk staff helped us contact the hotel driver to take us to the main street for 10 yuan, which was about the same price as a taxi and more convenient.
However, the hotel's travel butler was a bit arrogant. We had called the front desk in advance to book a ride to the high-speed rail station. The next day, when we came down on time, the butler, with his nose in the air, said there was no such service. I showed him the ”hotel confirmation letter,” and he claimed it was a platform service and had nothing to do with the hotel. After some argument, and fearing we'd be late, we decided to call a taxi. Then he said that even though there was no such service, he could arrange for someone to take us. We didn't want this 'charity,' but we couldn't get a taxi on short notice, so we ended up taking his arranged ride. When booking a hotel, make sure to confirm whether the services listed on the hotel confirmation letter are actually valid, so your travel mood isn't ruined like ours."

I have to rave about the location! It's just steps from the main street, with restaurants, supermarkets, and snack shops all nearby. If I'm craving something to eat in the evening, I can just stroll over and get it without having to take a taxi far! A taxi to the North Slope distribution center is only the starting fare, so I don't have to get up early to rush to the scenic area the next day. It's so convenient for lazy people!

The king-size bed room I stayed in was even prettier than the photos! The style was simple and clean, the lighting was warm, and even the shaded side wasn't cramped at all. The bedding was so soft and fluffy; even though I'm a light sleeper, I fell asleep the moment my head hit the pillow. The bathroom was also spotless, making it super convenient for doing my makeup in the morning!

"This guesthouse is incredibly unique and thoughtful. After experiencing the chaotic management and pre-packaged fruit for breakfast at Wanda Westin on our trip from Shanghai to Changbai Mountain, my expectations for this guesthouse weren't very high. However, Guan Zhi ultimately made our Changbai Mountain trip perfect.
From the thoughtful communication and guidance before check-in to the seamless and attentive pick-up/drop-off service, every staff member showed immense enthusiasm and a strong sense of ownership. Even the young ladies helped us with our luggage. Upon entering our room, we were greeted with snacks and a variety of beverages. The hot spring dip in the courtyard after dinner, along with the fragrant and sweet roasted sweet potatoes, made our children fall in love with this guesthouse. They even thought Guan Zhi was a more upscale hotel than the Westin.
Guan Zhi's breakfast was a true highlight in terms of quality. Whether it was the fruit, homemade shredded chicken, prawns, or their own braised beef, beef noodles, and soup rice, everything captured the taste buds of our family of four. My eldest daughter, who is usually very picky about breakfast, even had two servings of beef noodles the next morning.
On New Year's Eve after dinner, we joined the New Year's Eve feast organized by the owner. We and a few other guests enjoyed the owner's 25-year-old baijiu. The sweet baijiu brought together friends from all corners of the country, allowing us to spend a comfortable and relaxed New Year's Eve.
The owner and their team are dedicated to building Guan Zhi into a warm and influential brand. With such dedication and full commitment, I believe Guan Zhi and the owner will go a long way.
Perhaps it was fate, but on our only full day exploring the North Slope, we were lucky enough to catch the only time Tianchi (Heaven Lake) was open in two weeks, making us among the chosen few to witness its beauty.

AAnonymous UserI have to commend the exceptional service provided by Butler Xinxin at Changbai Mountain Lan Jing Hotel – our entire experience was absolutely fantastic! From arranging our pick-up at the high-speed rail station before check-in to promptly processing our arrival and personally escorting us to our room, Xinxin went above and beyond. They even thoughtfully prepared child-friendly amenities like a bed rail for our little one. As soon as we settled in, the butler provided a warm welcome, detailed information about hotel facilities, park entry requirements for Changbai Mountain, and essential ski gear. They even helped us arrange ski suit rentals, saving us a lot of hassle. The next day, our ski tickets and shuttle bus were pre-booked, making the entire process worry-free. When we wanted to visit Edelweiss Town after skiing, the butler immediately arranged for a driver to pick us up and drop us off. The driver patiently waited for us until we returned around 10 PM. The hotel room was quiet and comfortable, and the butler proactively checked in each evening to see if we needed anything, and in the mornings, they provided timely updates on the latest Changbai Mountain park entry information. The day before our departure, the butler once again pre-arranged our shuttle to the station, ensuring a seamless connection. The dining also deserves a special mention; breakfast was particularly delicious. The noodle-making auntie was very friendly, and the staff clearing tables were quick and attentive. From the small details to the overall arrangements, everything was impeccable – professional and heartwarming. We will definitely choose this hotel again when we visit Changbai Mountain!

The room looks relatively new. Room was clean, bed and pillows are very comfortable and I slept very well. Toilet was very clean, well equipped and stocked, water is hot.
Train station pickup/dropoff services are generously provided.
Boss is helpful and service is courteous, if you need any help they will be more than happy to assist. They also provided free upgrade to my room.
The hotel location is also fantastic, close to many eateries the main areas (my favourite is xinyan shaokao!). 30mins walk/5mins car to Changbaishan north visitor center

The soundproofing was also superb, completely blocking out any outside noise. Furthermore, the room was fully equipped with amenities like a smart toilet, an HD TV, and high-speed internet, meeting all my needs during the trip. TTan CK 9320I had a wonderful stay at Changbaishan Hailinyuan Fashion Hotel! The hotel is very affordable, making it a great option for budget travelers without compromising on comfort. What really stood out was the owner’s incredible hospitality. From the moment we arrived, the owner went out of their way to make our stay easy and enjoyable. They provided transport from Changbaishan Station to the hotel and even offered to take us to local attractions at no extra charge, which made exploring the area so much easier. The photos below show the owner fetching us to the attractions, which was such a thoughtful touch!
The hotel is located right in town, so it’s very convenient. There are many food options nearby, as well as a convenience store, which made grabbing snacks or essentials very easy. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, and the overall environment of the hotel was welcoming and cozy.
The owner is truly a kind and thoughtful person, always ready to help and ensure guests have a smooth and pleasant stay. I felt really looked after throughout our visit.

There's a great 'iron pot stew' restaurant about 200 meters to the left when you exit the hotel – the food was delicious and I'd definitely recommend it. The owner even suggested we try ice fishing! However, apart from the excellent service from that one staff member, the hotel's facilities and room amenities were pretty average. I didn't feel it offered great value for money. The pictures are dedicated to that wonderful lady who brightened our stay.

GGuest UserThe hotel service was absolutely wonderful! When we checked in, the front desk saw we were cold and immediately offered us warm bottled water. Our room was beautiful, clean, and very comfortable. When we went to the hot springs, the staff member managing the area was so enthusiastic. She constantly reminded us to be safe and even specially guided us to try the outdoor hot springs, which was a 100% amazing experience. Despite the cold weather, we truly felt the warmth and hospitality from the hot springs staff. She even helped us take a group photo – fantastic! 👍 Breakfast was also excellent, with delicious food and even frozen sliced pears. Next time I come to Changbai Mountain, this hotel will definitely be my first choice.

MM741677****The front desk staff were quick and professional. We even got a room upgrade! The hotel's location is great, close to the North Scenic Area, and there are plenty of restaurants nearby. The breakfast had a good variety and tasted delicious. The environment is exquisite and comfortable, and the hygiene is clean and tidy. The hotel staff were exceptionally nice, especially the front desk lady. During the 817 Rice Festival, it was impossible to find a taxi, so the hotel even arranged a car to pick us up.
