i was very pleasantly surprised by this hotel, the rooms were very nice, the toiletries top notch not only for Israel but for worldwide, the porch of our was extra large with a beautiful view and very comfortable lounging chairs and ottoman, the complimentary wine in the room was delicious, housekeeping was very on top of their job and room was very clean. the food was my biggest surprise, what a huge variety, and how tasteful, both in presentation, but most importantly in taste, both during the weekend and during the week, we will without a doubt return when we are there next. if you are thinking between waldorf and this, don't think, definitely stay here.

Good was absolutely fantastic. So was the service. Particularly Mr. Saleh at the reception, Mr. Anan at the restaurant and Mr. Mohammed in the room cleaning. Absolutely wonderful. The building is beautiful but you can tell it’s hard to upkeep such a historic place. In my room the lights inside the closet didn’t go out and the handheld shower wasn’t working abd 4 days after I reported it they had done nothing about it. Turndown service is a nice detail. TV has not many channels and needs to have access to Netflix, YouTube and other more modern options. Finally it’s all a little chaotic on Shabbat. Nevertheless the staff made it all worthwhile and the place is a true historical landmark with value of its own.

O my God... where do I begin?... The hospitality & love the staff shows is apart from anything I've experienced in Jerusalem! It is the.most moderately priced hotel (yay for that!), but the breakfast you get is nutritious & vast enough, the mint teas or coffees you can pour yourself throughout the day are a very special touch, and if you need a pick-me up lunch or dinner they make that available to you, too, with no hassle just love, and it's delicious! They renovated the 3rd floor, which is really special with marble floors, a big TV screens and very nice rooms! Lower floors are less expensive & modest, but they're all you need when you're on a pilgrammage, and was perfect for me! Also... this is the clincher: you begin the Walk of Jesus from this very point to the Garden of Gethsemane along Palm Sunday Road, then through Lion's Gate and Via Dolorosa to the very, very Church of the Holy Sepulchre! And this, you must walk for the full experience or you're seriously short-changing yourself! - Which means, you should be based at this hotel! The best upscale & quaint restaurant & cafe is right beside the Hotel and everyone says they ate the ery best shewarma of their lives here! Also... another clincher: the Mount of Olives Hotel is right beside the Ascension rock from whence Jesus ascended! A must visit! Orthodox churches & monasteries are all around the Hotel so again, a perfect choice for Orthodox Christians, and remember, you can walk to Old Town Jerusalem from here or take a local bus! And you have the best wide angle view of Jerusalem from the Lookout Point, overlooking the Dome of the Rock & the Golden Gate! And on a personal note: someone stole my iPhone from the OldCity, so I had to ask staffers umpteen times to use their mobile phones for whatsapp communications with my security advisor, and they were always obliging, understanding patient & compassionate! Listen, everyone I know comes to Jerusalem to visit OldTown Jerusalem, and not to go swimming or live luxuriously, but to go on a pilgrimage and pray, whether they be Jewish, Muslim or Christian! Thus, Panorama is the ideal & ultimate hotel! The view is far better than within OldTown itself, and it's only walking distance away! Overlooking the Dome of the Rock and the Golden Gate, Al Aqsa & the Western Wall at the closest proximity, your view us unobstructed & optimal! I loved my room & breathtaking view; the breakfast is vast & delicious.... and the hospitality gracious, where you're treated like family! Honestly, IT MAKES ZERO SENSE to spend $600-1,000+ per night in West Jerusalem for a mediocre hotel with NO VIEW! Nonsense! Panorama is THE IDEAL HOTEL to book! I loved walking one way to the Holy Sepulchre via Lion's Gate or the other way to City of David by Dung Gate as Panorama is right in the middle! I was so lucky that my travel agent in Cairo booked this hotel for me. It was perfect for me. The breakfast was yummy, my room was spotlessly clean, and it was a simple bus ride from the old town. Taking a bus would normally make me wonder, but trust me, the short bus ride was so simple and cheap and was a great way to take in the entire city . I am a 68 year old woman and was traveling solo. This hotel is nestled in a friendly, safe neighbourhood and at sundown...well Its Mount Olives, so the view a 10/15 walk away was extraordinary. ! The staff at this hotel were the kindest of any hotel anywhere that I have stayed anywhere in the world. I know this is strong statement but it is so. I will return to the Commodore Hotel, Mount Olives, Jerusalem again next year. I am so lucky to have stayed here.

Location is good next to New Gate. Roof top is good too for panoramic view of Jerusalem. Room is just standard. Cleanliness is good too. Reception is friendly good service. No Swimming Pool. Restaurant is very poor for the daily rate of this hotel it only compensate the location. Breakfast is the same every single morning that when i went to eat on our 5th day, i cannot eat anymore its just so boring to eat. Boring dining set up. Utensils and plates and also Hot water pots are all dated where at the end i was bored and apetite lost. I felt like eating in a carenderia at the end. Staff are friendly. I would recommend more food selections in breakfast and dining lay outs as its a bit crowded as you enter and a dead area at the end corner. Curtains are dated too. Room Wifi- only 1 dot where we have to go out of the room to get proper signal. Alegro Cafe- no comments best for me- wifi, service, food, cleanliness is superb.

The location is very good. A few minutes walk from the old city. Standard bed room. I am very fortunate to give the room a curtain to see the dome mosque. The bathroom in the room is quite big and very clean. The staff is very nice. Every day, I clean the room and change the towel. The breakfast is a little less but it is OK. The guests are mostly Muslim but have no effect. There is free parking. It is very convenient to drive to Jerusalem. At the hotel, I was very worried about getting away from the light rail station. It was not a few minutes away. I also arrived at the hotel. In the Muslim residential area, the Sabbath also has convenience stores and restaurants. The door-to-door experience is very satisfying. I like Jerusalem. If you have a chance to go again, you will definitely choose Stay here!
