Very interesting place to stay. A simulated village with livestock surrounded by rice paddies. Interesting activities, including pottery, target practice. A pool, which we saw people enjoying but did not do ourselves. The evening entertainment was amazing - a Tamil folk dance troupe including rhythmic drumming. There was a school group and parents with children. I think city living Tamils bring their children here as a Tamil cultural experience. At first, it seemed cheesy but you have to let yourself get into it and then you find it very enjoyable. Good very reasonable meals.

Went during pongal holidays and they had day visitors and the place was over crowded at wait for everything especially during the tea / snack station because the first preference was given to day visitors. Room had slight drainage smell because we were staying almost near the end of resort. Pump set was enjoyable Swimming pool nice and clean Food excellent. Staff took extra care as we complained about the smelling room Activities all good Breakfast was limited but good Bullock cart ride was enjoyable but de***ds extra money Very friendly staff

Hello Stayed at M***tham village resort on April2023 for one night with my wife and a 5 year old kid. Checked in to the resort around 1:30 . Check in was a breeze and were welcomed by traditional Nannari sarbath to beat the scorching sun . After a walk through the field we reached our farm view room in midst of a huge farmland . The room was decent size with a neat bathroom . There are so ***y activities which need to be pre booked after checking in . As we were the first we booked the off beat pump set bath for an hour which was one of its kind. The water is super refreshing and clean and is something new for all who have spent all our lives in d city . There is pottery making which we enjoyed followed by evening snack village style . The farm feeding activity in d resort is a must do . There is a cultural event in d evening around 6:30 for half hour which is a must watch . The performers were super energetic and we get to learn on new things about Tamil culture . The dinner was great too . The swimming pool was decent too which had to be pre booked . The bullock cart ride was a great addition to d resort which was loved by my kid. This is charged at 500 per family . Over all the staff at the resort are just too good . No one says NO . If the service standards are maintained this can be one of the best resets in and around Chennai .

We were 7 families getting together under one roof after almost half a decade. We were around 25 ppl in total including about 11 kids ranging from ages 4 to 11. We chose M***tham basis some word of mouth recommendation and must say this was the best decision we took. Right from the check in process, everything was seamless and impeccable. The resort is designed to look like a traditional tamil village and a lot of effort has gone into maintaining the authenticity. The kids loved their two days in M***tham with a lot of activities to keep them occupied - farm animals, bullock cart ride, a well maintained pool , arts and crafts , open play area and what not. There was also some traditional music and arts programs in the evenings. The food was great (there is no bar in house but you can bring alcohol from outside ) and the staff super friendly and attentive to requests. The houses ( we had taken 2 houses , each with 4 rooms and having a central common open area ) we stayed in were comfortable with air con, hot water and all the basic trappings you d expect. I cant recommend the place enough for families with kids who are looking at something different from the usual beach resorts dotting ECR.

This beautifully designed resort is a celebration of rural Tamil culture. The treasury is set up to look and feel like a traditional village where you can partake in games and activities, connect with animals, enjoy topnotch cultural perfor***ces and rest delicious South Indian cuisine. The vibe here is amazing. Rooms are clean, comfortable and all have AC. Staff are superb. I really cannot recommend this place enough. I don't think there is anywhere else like this in Tamil Nadu.

Stayed in Mar 22. - Rooms were very good. We travelled with one more family. The houses kind of opened into each other and allowed good interaction with others. - Swimming pool and the waterfall was very nice and kids really enjoyed it. Would have been better if we had a steward there. - The pumpset was also very good. Though too small for a single family to fit into the tank :) - Food was very good but the restaurant was sometimes too small to accomodate everyone who has checked in. - Kids enjoyed the activities organized a lot. I think a day was just about right. If you are looking for a more relaxed time, please book for two days. No alcohol served when we were there.
