Hotels near Wat Wutharam in Khon Kaen

I discovered this place online, on special at an amazingly economical price, so I took the plunge and reserved my room. Glad I did, as the service was on point, the location is super convenient (walk to transport, markets, bars, restaurant shopping centres etc) and my room just felt like home, albeit a 70s chic abode. the reception staff are smart, helpful and on call 24 hours a day. It is guest friendly and there are laundry machines on site. If you want some beverages just ask the staff. Don't be fooled by the dated facade when you arrive as inside you will quaint charm (see my Coffee Chill TV YouTube Vlog) and well appointed rooms. I am thinking I will be back

Roma Hotel or Roma Hotel is located on the city road. Khon Kaen Municipality It is a hotel that has been built for many years as well, but the interior has been renovated to look a modern model, but still has a mix of classic and old style hotels. Close to many tourist attractions, great prices, opposite there are famous restaurants. Next to the en-ot shop is a souvenir shop of Che Rat Khon Kaen.

Was shocked when we first entered the room as it was old, unlike the marketing photos that were shown on Agoda and in the hotel. The toilet was also badly infested with cockroaches, we had to kill about 20+ small and medium sized cockroaches over the few nights that we stayed there. The reception staff were also unfriendly. We are very disappointed and do not recommend this hotel.

So far Thailand's transit system has been great, efficient, and cheap. A train fare from Khon Kaen to Udon Thani was only 25 bahts, which is less than one USD, versus the alternative taxi ride that will set you back 37 USD for an approximate two hour ride. The train was clean and modern looking, have bench style cushion seats, windows that can be open so fresh breeze circulate the car preventing passengers from overheating. The rail cars have restrooms so don't worry about emergency urges. If you forgot to bring along a bottle of water or beverages, there will be someone constantly walking by in the center aisle selling drinks and snacks at a cheap price. Since this train ride was my first one, I'm content with the experience and recommend others to try it out for themselves while traversing through Thailand. Have a wonderful travels... Great place to stay for a short-term trip in Khon Kaen. Near different street food places. A lot of stray dogs nearby but they aren’t dangerous. Is 10-15 minutes away from central plaza.

I like it very much, the location is not far from Ton Tan Market, very convenient to travel, lovely staff, good service, personally, staying here for the second time, recommend it for anyone who is traveling to Khon Kaen, the price is good, but I would like to criticize the accommodation, there is no hair dryer, everything else is ok. Personally, go to rest and have to carry a drive. Next round to Khon Kaen, I will stay here again.

I didn't check in today because I couldn't stand the stuffy food. So I went to stay with relatives instead. Everything else is overall very ok, good service in the heart of the city, but the hotel is old, so there are some musty places to eat and cleanliness. Not very neat

Good, lots of breakfast, delicious, standard, there's fresh coffee to press. Choose to stay because of this 55. Polite staff, good service, spacious room, clean, fitness room, lots of equipment. I want to stay here all day. Will come again and definitely choose to stay here again. Highly recommended.

Price is not expensive. Large and nice with floor to ceiling windows/ doors to the balcony. Can see the local people in their daily life. Can hear a bit of vehicle sounds but that doesn’t bother me. Got basic toiletries and 2 bottles of water. Old but good to stay. The male staff working at night at the front desk is polite and welcoming. We arrived by song theaw from Khon Kean bus station then walked into the small lane for a few minutes.

Nice hotel very clean nothing not to like would stay again description needs updating says hotel only 0.4 kilometres from bus station but this bus station now closed so we had to make our way from the new bus station terminal about 8 kilometres away otherwise no complaints
