Now, for the numerous downsides: 1. **Severe Lack of Air Conditioning** The lobby and restaurant were especially stuffy and hot. My child would sweat after just a bit of activity, and the adults felt irritable. It felt as if the AC wasn't on at all, with very little temperature difference from outside, which significantly impacted comfort. 2. **Terrible Breakfast Experience** The family restaurant for breakfast was not sectioned off, leading to overcrowding. There were no numbers given out, nor were guests seated. It was a free-for-all to grab a table. If you couldn't find a seat, you'd end up holding your plate and waiting by a table for others to finish, creating a scene like a wet market. The cleaning staff walked around haphazardly, blocking guests, and showed no service awareness. They mopped the floor but didn't dry it. I personally witnessed a child slip on the wet floor and fall on the back of their head. At the waffle station, when I wanted to get more during cleanup, I found the tongs were gone. When I asked a staff member, ”Are there any tongs?” they glanced at me and said, ”No,” and offered no further assistance. 3. **Dinner Was Also Bad** Hotpot required booking a full hour in advance, which is impossible to manage flexibly with kids. The hotel's Chinese restaurant also had very poor reviews, so we didn't dare try it. For families who prefer to eat in the hotel, the dining options are very unaccommodating. 4. **Overall Service is Concerning** Aside from the polite housekeeping staff and a few front desk employees, the hotel largely lacked any discernible service. From this perspective, for family travel, choosing a surrounding five-star hotel might actually offer better value in comparison."

Instead, I had to lug heavy luggage nearly 200 meters, navigating twists and turns just to find the registration desk. The whole process was exhausting and frustrating. Even though I checked in during the off-season, which should have made things smoother, the queue was filled with complaints. Guests were generally unhappy with the hotel's arrangements. Even with the front desk staff's polite and patient demeanor, it did little to alleviate everyone's poor mood. Next, the hotel's facilities and room experience fell far short of expectations. I specifically booked a room with a pool, but the pool's cleanliness was shockingly bad. There were bugs, ants, and debris on the water surface and around it – I wouldn't dare swim in it. The supposed recreational amenity was useless. The room itself felt very damp, making it uncomfortable to stay in for long. The overall decor was old-fashioned and tacky. Furthermore, the hotel's signage was extremely unclear. Check-in was on the third floor, but to find my room, I had to go to the first floor and then navigate a confusing maze. There was no logical flow, and I spent a lot of energy just trying to find my way around during my stay. Dining was even more disappointing. The breakfast buffet was set up in a conference room, leading to a crowded and chaotic dining experience. It was completely uncomfortable and lacked the quality and atmosphere one would expect from a hotel breakfast. However, the hotel staff's overall service attitude was excellent. They were responsive to issues and even provided a barrier for me, which was one of the few redeeming qualities. For parents traveling with children, I strongly advise against ordering food from delivery platforms. The hotel's in-room dining menu far exceeded expectations. The Hainanese chicken rice, in particular, was outstanding – clean ingredients, excellent taste, and far superior to food from delivery apps like **. This was truly the only pleasant surprise of my stay."

"The hotel more looks like a bed and breakfast than a 4 star hotel. The room we booked was really small, around 12 square meters. With a balcony outside to sit. However, the view does not worth sitting and many other neighbors are just checking you. The room itself was clean, but inside the community isn't very clean at all. Probably, the highest disappointment comes from the public swimming pool which is a really tiny swimming pool. Their swimming pool is around 2.5 meters to 2.5 meters. So if you're coming to have a nice swimming experience, don't even think about it in this hotel. We booked a room with breakfast included which was around 50 yuan more expensive than if we didn't want any breakfast. Let me be honest with you, their breakfast doesn't worth at all. There's no salad, no seasonal fruit, no bread, no coffee (broken coffee machine) and no desert. Forget all the things you can find in breakfast of normal 4 start hotel, It's just some dumplings, egg and simple corn which you can buy from any shop outside for less than 10 yuan all of them. Overall, the price doesn't fit the service you receive, specifically about the swimming pool and breakfast."

He patiently guided us through check-in, helped with our luggage, and even told us which floor the parking was on and where the 'L' level was, which was super convenient for food deliveries. "Won't be returning to Westin. 1. They only provide two bath towels daily (most hotels offer more, don't they?). There's no evening turndown service to replenish towels. I had to call for a shower cap. Despite having a bathtub, there were no separate toiletries provided (am I supposed to walk through the bathroom to the shower and squeeze out soap there?). The most ridiculous part was the complete absence of body lotion. 2. When they cleaned the room, they left two bags of takeout trash. I ended up having to take them to the door myself before they were finally removed. 3. The phone wasn't plugged in, so initially, I thought it was broken. 4. There's no indoor pool, but there's a large outdoor one. You have to wear their provided socks/shoes to prevent cuts from tiles, which you can borrow and return for free – that's good. The grotto is quite pretty, and the two slides are fun. The staff watching over the pool are very responsible. However, here are some other issues: 1) Floats with patterns cost money to rent; the free ones are only the plainest solid blue or green. 2) The complimentary paddleboard experience is only 30 minutes, which barely leaves time for photos if you're actually paddling. 3) When I asked for directions at the pool, one person said they had just started working that day and knew nothing. Quietly, I thought, 'Can't they at least provide some training?' 5. During breakfast, half my food was cleared away when I went to get something else. Seriously, couldn't they put a 'do not disturb' sign on the table? Another day, I ate watermelon that was spoiled (overripe and sour-tasting). The manager explained that it was just 'ripe,' not 'bad'... Sorry, but I've never had strange-tasting watermelon at a five-star hotel. In my eyes, that's spoiled. 6. Almost all children's activities come with an additional charge."

"The hotel was very nice. It’s situated right next to the beach and there are many restaurants and activities nearby. The room was very pleasant to stay in. What stood out to me was the shower room. It was exceptional. Others good things to note are the size of the tv, balcony and the swimming pool. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and we would stay here again! They really helped to make our trip to lingshui special 酒店地理位置超级好，下楼就是沙滩，沙滩对面就是美食广场，购物吃饭都很方便，最主要是步行就到了！距离呆呆岛、猴岛、新村码头就7、8km，码头还能赶海！！一天就可以逛完这几个景点，晚上还能去新村夜市吃点海鲜加工，还有当地岛酸粉热粉炒冰这些，太到位了！"

"This is a very nice hotel. The room was spacious, the bed comfortable and the bedding and pillows just right. There was also a great balcony., I would have liked a relaxing chair on there, but the furniture was okay. The service is excellent, the people are very friendly and extremely helpful. The pool is nice and clean, the yard is very pretty. The gym is a bit outdated and could do with a makeover and a location other than the dark cellar. Nearby is a pretty beach, a lovely park and an entertaining mall. If you take one of the siden street, you’ll find local shops. There is a bit of noise coming from the streets at night, but if you close the doors, it’s not too much of a bother and stops around 12:00 PM. Airconditioning is working really well. Had a great time, will visit again!"

The hotel's garden design is layered and lush with tropical plants, offering plenty of spots to sit and relax, making strolls very pleasant. Breakfast is rich and consistently high-quality, from freshly cooked noodles to fresh fruit, every item shows attention to detail. Our butler, Chloe, provided excellent service; she was gentle, responsive, and made us feel at ease and relaxed throughout our stay. This was a great experience, and we'll choose this place again next time. Plus, the photos from Platinum Travel Photography turned out amazing! The photographer was great at capturing natural shots, highly recommend."
