"Staying at the清水湾威珀斯酒店 (Clearwater Bay Weipers Hotel), I found the service to be generally good. Checking out was hassle-free; I just handed in my room card and was free to go, no queues needed. The hotel boasts an incredibly large and beautiful wedding lawn right behind it. It's clear they put a lot of effort into the landscaping, with palm trees, banana plants, and a variety of tropical flowers and greenery everywhere. The pathways are spotless, and the gardens are well-designed and spacious, so you're surrounded by lush greenery as you walk through. Compared to other resorts I've visited, the garden area here feels very open and uncrowded, with wide paths and an impressive architectural layout. From my room, it was just a short walk to the seaside lawn and the white wedding chapel, and the beach was also very close by. It's perfect whether you want to take a leisurely stroll and snap some photos, or wander around with your family. I imagine a wedding held here would be incredibly romantic."

"The hotel's promotional posters were drastically different from the actual room we stayed in. First, the pictures made the room look quite spacious, but in reality, the bed was probably only about 1 meter wide. You'd fall off if you just rolled over. It was so cramped for 2 adults and 1 child that we eventually had no choice but to have the child sleep in the room by the entrance. Second, upon entering the room, there was an indescribable, strong musty smell. Third, the actual view from the balcony was just a distant corner of the sea; there was no room upgrade or anything. It was also a long walk from the beach. I've seen other guests mention that the building we stayed in was the worst one at the hotel. Fourth, and even more ridiculous, if it's the hotel's beach, why aren't there sun loungers and umbrellas for guests to relax on? Instead, there were sun loungers with names written on them on the hotel's beach. I initially wanted to sit on one, but then I found out they were chargeable. Seriously, I was speechless! I paid for the room, which I assumed included access to and use of the hotel's beach facilities. Is the hotel running a business in its own public areas? And no one is stopping it... This really surprised me! I've stayed at many beachfront hotels, but this is the first time I've encountered such a situation."

"This villa-style hotel has a great environment and excellent service. Our room even had a small private pool, and there's a private beach right outside, making it easy to enjoy the sea views. I would definitely come back to this hotel again!"

"Staying at DoubleTree by Hilton was a great value, especially with the stormy weather. For kids who want to play in the water, there's a hot spring, and they can also visit the pet park to feed animals. The two staff members at the pet park were incredibly friendly and kind; they patiently accompanied the children to feed the ducklings and squirrels even in the rain. The butler service was just okay, not always the most responsive, but they generally did fulfill requests."

"On my last day in Lingshui, I sat at the tatami tea table, gazing at the view outside the window that gradually shifted from blue to orange-pink, and suddenly felt reluctant to leave. The hotel's tatami suites perfectly embody the minimalist aesthetic of the Song Dynasty, incorporating the principles of simplicity and negative space into every inch. From the natural wood latticework and elegant cotton and linen curtains to the warm-feeling teaware, even the window frames resemble picture frames, making it feel like stepping right onto the beach. In the morning, I could walk barefoot on the soft white sand, and in the evening, the sound of the waves seemed like background music. The most delightful surprise was the private tatami tea table—perfect for boiling water, brewing local white tea, watching the sea, daydreaming, and waiting for the sunset. The hotel's location is superb, right next to the popular Shuikou Bridge road. The macaron-colored railings and pavement, paired with the blue sky and sea, make for stunning photos; it's also close to Xiangshui Bay, offering a tranquil escape from the crowds. The resort boasts a private outdoor swimming pool, badminton court, basketball court, billiards room, children's playground, gym, and library—enough to easily while away an entire afternoon. Nearby water activities include surfing, jet skiing, banana boating, and yacht fishing—don't miss out! Fun! Exciting! Guests also enjoy exclusive discounts; the benefits we secured were truly substantial, even the instructors praised the price as "incredibly worthwhile." But what truly makes it memorable is the people here. Upon check-out, the receptionist chased after us with a bottle of ice water, reminding us, "Remember to reapply sunscreen this afternoon," her tone as warm as family. Every question was gently answered, every need carefully noted—such service is more heartwarming than the scenery. This hotel, imbued with Song Dynasty charm and genuine sincerity, is where I'll stay again next time I'm in Hainan, to drink tea, gaze at the sea, and reconnect with time."

"I stayed at Shiguang Xiaoyuan for four days and three nights, but surprisingly didn't get around to taking many good photos of the courtyard itself. Upon arrival, my immediate impression of Shiguang Xiaoyuan was spacious, bright, and clean. This extended to the guesthouse rooms, which were also very clean, hygienic, and free of any strange odors. Every staff member at Shiguang Xiaoyuan had an excellent service attitude and was incredibly warm and welcoming. They also offer a shuttle service to and from Lingshui Station, free pick-up and drop-off within a 3km radius, and complimentary use of their electric scooters. The best part, though, is the breakfast – and it's substantial! This is a guesthouse with fantastic value for money, definitely worth a visit."

The room was also very neat, clean, and nicely designed. The only downside was that there was road construction during my stay, so Didi couldn't drive directly onto the road in front of the hotel."

Raffles Hainan Clear Water Bay
"This was the best hotel we stayed at during our Hainan trip this summer! The family suite at Lanhaiju was perfectly situated with a direct view of the Freedom Lighthouse! I had thought it was a pure garden view room, so I was thrilled to see the lighthouse in the distance as soon as I entered. Not only the room view, but all areas of the hotel are fantastic backdrops for photos! Access to the hotel grounds and beach requires a booking confirmation or room key card, indicating very strict management. The breakfast was excellent, no complaints there. We found different delicious options each of the three mornings, and the à la carte menu also varied daily. The dinner beach BBQ buffet, with its setting at the filming location of 'Lost in the Stars' and the lighthouse, offered an amazing ambiance. My only suggestion would be to increase the variety of dishes. Stepping out the back door of the hotel leads directly to a private, quiet, and clean beach with fine sand and a gentle slope. If it weren't so hot, I could have easily spent the whole day just relaxing there! During our stay, our dedicated butler Chloe was incredibly responsive to our needs every day, almost instantly replying whether it was day or night. She worked very hard! Three days just wasn't enough; we'll definitely be back next summer!"

Breakfast includes authentic Lingshui sour noodles. The resort grounds are lush with greenery, and the service is attentive and discreet, making it an ideal choice for a vacation in Clear Water Bay. The sand quality at Clear Water Bay is genuinely fantastic! We didn't want to leave after multiple nights, and I also want to praise the warm and responsive service from the butler and front desk staff. Thumbs up!👍"

"This is a beautiful hotel, though it feels a bit like a maze and I often got lost, especially since the public areas are shared with other hotels. The first night it rained heavily, which was a shame because our beach trip was canceled. But it's okay, we're at the beach every day anyway. Cathy was great, very responsive to our requests. It rained again on the second morning, but thankfully it cleared up quickly and the kids' pool opened, which finally made my child happy. I'd suggest the hotel be a bit less strict about breakfast for children. Most family-friendly hotels I've stayed at usually include breakfast for two adults and one child, even places like Atlantis do. Our child mostly eats staple foods, and paying extra really feels a bit unreasonable. Overall, we're satisfied. Thank you!"

"Let's talk about the hotel first: it is right on the street, within walking distance of the Xincun Night Market and the pier to Monkey Island. The room is relatively spacious with balconies on both sides. The boss has a good service attitude and is quite enthusiastic. However, parking is not very convenient. Then let's talk about Xincun: We drove here from Haikou and stayed in Riyue Bay, Xiangshui Bay, Xincun and Qingshui Bay for a few days respectively. The worst impression was made by Xincun. The overall prices were high and the service attitude was very poor. The main problem was that the street where the hotel was located and the street where the night market was located were completely priced for tourists. I won't say anything else, but bananas in the supermarket on this street were 6 yuan and seedless red grapes were 16.9 yuan. On the street around the corner of Monkey Island Pier, bananas in the supermarket were 4 yuan and seedless red grapes were 12.9 yuan. In fact, there is no need to buy tickets to Monkey Island Park. It is more fun to drive there by yourself, and the things in the night market can actually be found elsewhere, so next time I come to Lingshui, I probably won’t stay in Xincun."

Breakfast is served until noon, with a wide variety of delicious options. The activities were abundant, and the complimentary photoshoot, which I initially thought would be just a quick snap, actually turned out with stunning, 'blockbuster' results. My favorite part was the beach – the sand was so fine and soft, with crystal-clear waters and blue skies. The loungers made it incredibly comfortable and relaxing. I will definitely be back again!"
