"I stayed at Amber Hotel during my trip to Cebu! The hotel itself is relatively new, and the room was clean and comfortable 😊. The staff were also kind and welcoming during check-in. Robinsons Mall is nearby, and there are restaurants and convenience stores in the vicinity, making it a convenient location for sightseeing and dining. Grab cars were also readily available, making transportation easy! The breakfast offered a good variety and was more delicious than I expected. The rooftop restaurant and bar also had a great ambiance, and I enjoyed a relaxing evening there 🍹. While the shower pressure felt a bit weak, I had no other particular concerns, and considering the price, it was a very satisfying hotel. I think this is a convenient hotel for those who plan to focus on sightseeing and shopping in Cebu City!"

"We stayed at this hotel after visiting the Radisson and Quest Hotel and were quite pleased with our experience. The location is excellent, with a skywalk directly connecting to the mall. The lifts by your rooms also go down to the car park, which has a grocery store as part of the mall—a great convenience if you're staying in a suite with a stove and fridge, you can take your groceries directly to your room from the lift access skipping reception. We cooked a few meals during our stay, and it worked out really well. Check-in was efficient, though we were informed that formal attire was required for breakfast—long sleeves and no shorts. Personally, I found this a bit strict, especially as someone who frequently stays in 4- and 5-star hotels in England. We followed the dress code on the first day but noticed others wearing shorts and short-sleeved shirts, so we did the same for the rest of our stay. My tailored shorts and presentable shirts seemed appropriate for a breakfast buffet, not a formal dinner. The hotel's location in the IT Park is ideal, with plenty of places to visit within walking distance, including Sugbo Mercado for street food, which we went to twice with my fiancée's friends. The lobby staff and security were incredibly helpful. You can order a Grab and wait in the lobby, and the security guards will notify you when your taxi arrives. On the rooftop, there’s a bar and restaurant, a gym, and a pool. The pool is higher than the gym, offering some privacy while swimming, which we appreciated. The rooftop views are breathtaking, and the staff were friendly and accommodating. There are also changing rooms, showers, and toilets by the poolside. There’s a bar where you can claim a welcome drink, but it was unmanned when we visited, and we ended up not using our voucher. We had one small issue during our stay when my Revolut platinum card, which is metal and thicker than usual cards, got stuck in the ATM. The security guard, Anjol, was incredibly helpful. He called the ATM owners, and with his assistance, we were able to retrieve the card without damage. His help was much appreciated, and management should recognize his excellent service. The attached mall has a food court where we enjoyed fruit shakes and boba tea, as well as karaoke booths, a cinema, and various shops. We really enjoyed our stay and plan to return for a longer visit to fully enjoy the hotel and mall."

"The hotel's various digital displays gave it a sophisticated feel. There were also many channels available on the TV. While there's a pedestrian bridge to the shopping mall across the street, the area immediately next to the hotel has a more local feel with heavy traffic. The free airport shuttle was a nice touch, and the staff were very friendly. It would have been even better if there was a refrigerator in the room."

"Booking the free shuttle bus from the airport to the hotel gave me peace of mind, especially since it was my first time in Cebu. The hotel room was clean and having a bathtub was a plus. The breakfast buffet was excellent, with plenty of vegetables, and a good variety including Japanese-style dishes like hijiki, local specialties, and both rice and bread as staple options. There was always something different each day, like pasta, onigiri, sushi rolls, or even okonomiyaki, which kept things interesting. All three days, the food was delicious and varied. I also liked the terrace seating, which was a nice option for dining outdoors. The location was incredibly convenient, with SM J Mall right next to the hotel and directly connected, so I didn't even have to go outside. On the day I arrived and the day after, I was able to relax and enjoy the hotel and the mall without venturing too far. This hotel truly exceeded my expectations for the price, and I'm so glad I stayed here."

"The hotel's location is excellent, close to amenities. It's also a new hotel (2026), and the staff are honestly excellent, kind, and friendly. Whenever I travel to any country and return to Cebu, I prefer this hotel over others."

"had a pleasant stay at Appleton Boutique Hotel. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. Although the hotel is not new, the interior is well maintained and looks nice. One of the highlights of my stay was the breakfast buffet. The food was really delicious, and I enjoyed it a lot. The staff provided great customer service. They were friendly, helpful, and accommodating throughout my stay. The location is also very convenient, as it is close to both SM and Robinsons, making it easy to shop and find restaurants. One area that could be improved is the outside of the hotel. There were several plastic bags filled with trash outside the building, which did not create a good first impression. Keeping the exterior cleaner would make the hotel even more welcoming. Overall, I had a good experience and would consider staying here again, especially because of the excellent buffet, spacious rooms, friendly staff, and convenient location."
