"You need to go through a security check before entering the hotel, which makes you feel very safe. The front desk staff were especially friendly and helpful, and any questions or issues were handled quickly. The room was clean and well-maintained. Both the sofa and the bed were very comfortable. There was also a JBL speaker in the living room, which was a really nice touch. I was especially happy to receive a complimentary room upgrade, and the room had a great view. One thing to note is that there seems to be a voltage issue with the hair dryer, so it couldn’t be used in the bathroom. The hand cream also smelled amazing and worked really well. Overall, I had a very pleasant stay and would definitely recommend this hotel."

"This is my favorite hotel in Cebu however we had a bad experience when we got our spa.We got the package around 4k/head to celebrate our 28th anniversary,the service started at 8pm from the body scrubbing then massage.i noticed that my therapist is stopping so i tried to move my body,then she started again,then stopped again,i thought she’s sleeping so i told her “si ate inaantok na ata”,but it’s only around 9pm so it’s not just super late.but still,she on stopping despite I told that to her.maybe she’s too sleepy and can’t control herself.so i just let her stop & massage,stop and massage just to control not to ruin our very special day.then after the 2hrs massage,my husband felt something bit in his arm.he immediately told to the therapist but she don’t have any reaction.so we decided not to argue with them because we don’t want to ruin our night.the photo attached was taken after 5 days of our anniversary and it’s still swollen and itchy. Other than this matter,I will definitely go back again and stay in this hotel because all are great except on the spa experience"

"Shangri-La really is quite good. Breakfast was a bit crowded, so we had to wait for a table, but the atmosphere was nice, and the room was well-maintained. It's especially great for kids; they didn't want to leave! It's a shame we only stayed one day at Shangri-La. And the service was truly excellent; we ran into a staff member in the hallway who proactively asked for our room number and offered directions."

"The hotel is located on a private island. Getting there isn't too difficult, but all the main attractions (sardines, sharks, canyoneering) are quite a distance away. This hotel seems to have been designed for guests who don't want to leave it – a small 'Bounty island' vibe. But it didn't quite hit the mark. The staff here are constantly smiling. As soon as they see you, they drop what they're doing to greet you. During meals, they approach you every minute to ask questions and tell you about the free 'entertainment' planned for the day. Honestly, it's annoying and doesn't match the status the hotel clearly aims for. In a good hotel, staff are incredibly helpful yet discreet. Here, they can't even clean the room without being noticed. However, you can tell they've been trained this way, rather than it being their natural work style. So, if they were trained differently, these young people would significantly improve the service quality. Also, don't expect quick responses or help from anyone. It's better to go directly to reception and sort things out yourself. That's the most effective way, otherwise, you might drown in a Kafkaesque castle with a British surrealist twist. The room we stayed in was magnificent in terms of size and cleanliness. The shower wasn't working well, but they replaced it quickly. When walking around the room, the wardrobe wobbles and makes noise, but these are minor issues. I noticed signs of wood-boring insects in the safe cabinet, but didn't see the insects themselves, so they didn't cause any trouble. Food. The food here is very poor, compared to all the other places I've visited in the Philippines. A hotel aiming for a high rating shouldn't be serving microwaved store-bought pizza at such a price. If the food is cooked properly (grilled chicken breast, for example), it's invariably oversalted or overspiced. Or both at once. I couldn't find a single dish on the menu that was worth its price or genuinely tasty, except perhaps for the scrambled eggs at breakfast. But that's not enough if you plan to stay on the island all day, is it? Snorkeling costs 1000 pesos per hour for the boat and 100-200 pesos for equipment (each item separate: mask, fins, aqua shoes). The hotel staff claim the equipment is new, but that's not true. Aqua shoes are essentially unavailable in adult sizes (from 40 and up, we found only two old and torn pairs). The coral reef is dying after the typhoon, but there are still beautiful spots, and my wife and I don't regret snorkeling here. Especially since it was the only activity available on the island. To sum up, this hotel might suit those who want to isolate themselves from the rest of the world for a resort-style vacation with an average level of service but rather high prices for that level."

"Kandaya resort is definitely very beautiful and clean. It offers many activities from ARV, horseback rides, archery, island hopping and many more. The breakfast is delicious and has a variety of, especially Philippine cuisine. The kayaking was our personal favorite. It’s just a long drive away from Cebu city. However, should we find ourselves that side of the world again, we will choose this resort anytime. Lastly, the room was so stylish and modern..it was just amazing. Bed is super comfortable."

"Choosing an ocean view room was an excellent decision! The room was clean and lovely. It's connected to a mall with many luxury boutiques and restaurants inside. For Korean food, I highly recommend Yeonhwa on the second floor of the mall. Having a Starbucks nearby was a huge plus! Personally, I wasn't a fan of the shabu-shabu place. Besides the mall, the hotel's breakfast buffet offered dozens of great options, and the Italian restaurant was absolutely delicious. I had a wonderful stay! 💗"

"Seda hotel is conveniently located near one of the famous malls in Cebu city. Breakfast was great, they have great food selection options and it is buffet. Check in was really smooth and they even offer an option of early check in + package for drinks for an affordable amount. Rooms were clean, well airconed with a good city view. Maybe the only inconvenience for me was shower water was not hot enough, but not cold for sure. Also they have higene shower next to the toilet but no soap near it. Quite and great place to live while visiting center of Cebu city. It was mi daughters birthday and they even gave us a very tasty cake"

"Everything was good, a decent beach, well-maintained grounds, and friendly staff. I would have liked the breakfasts to be more interesting; it was a bit inconvenient that scrambled eggs had to be ordered and were brought to the table so late, usually after I had already finished eating. On our last day, they didn't bring them at all. I preferred the breakfasts at the neighboring Sheraton, where scrambled eggs were self-service. Nearby is the Pink Floyd cafe; I liked it, the food is tasty, and the prices are reasonable."

"The location of the hotel is very convenient, it's located beside SM City Cebu, just a few minutes walking distance only. Hotel facilities are good and room is clean & tidy, hotel staffs are friendly too. Buffet breakfast & dinner have variety of choices, can't even decide what to eat first😆😆😆"

"Great birthday stay with a few caveats We stayed at The Reef Island Resort Mactan to celebrate my birthday, and overall we had a wonderful time. They even gave us a slice of cake. Our room had a sea view, and we really enjoyed breakfast with a view of the sea and the beach — where you can go snorkeling. In the water, we saw lots of corals, fish, small clownfish (Nemo), and even a triggerfish. The infinity pool is awesome. There are several restaurants and a spa on the property. All guests get 30 minutes of free access to the arcade room, which has billiards, air hockey, table tennis, and a small basketball game. On the top floor, there's a restaurant with a panoramic view, and the prawns and panini were very tasty. However, there is one major downside: we asked for more water to make tea, and we were told that each additional 0.5L bottle costs 150 pesos. In our room, we only had 1 liter for two people per day, which is very little. For reference, a 0.5L bottle costs 10 pesos in a store, so the price is simply unreasonable. Also, there are no shops within walking distance of the hotel. Despite the water issue, we still enjoyed our stay and would recommend it for the location, facilities, and snorkeling."
