Stayed here last year and thought I'd come back to the same place. Wasn't quite as good as I remembered, but good for the price. First impressions of the room was that it was great except the cleaning wasn't quite on point - first thing I saw in the bathroom was a used tooth pick on the side next to the sink and the big chair had 2 dead insects on it. Facilities are otherwise good, but I didn't remember the TV being this bad. Booked up via some old school antenna and not a single channel was HD. Even the ones with an HD logo were SD and blurry. Everything else is great and handy that they have 2 washing machines and 2 dryers (free apart from $30 for detergent) although one person had hogged both dryers so I had a long wait before I could use a drying machine. Location is fantastic. Easy to walk to most of the sights, and right in the middle of loads of cool food places, even if most of them always seem to be shut!

The room was very clean; the blankets, bedding, and pillows were all clean and comfortable. Hot water came on quickly in the bathroom, and the showerhead had adjustable water pressure. It was a great hotel. I'll definitely book this hotel again when I go to Tainan for the Lunar New Year.

Located in city centre，surrounded by scenic spots. This comfortable and simple hotel environment is expected to give travelers a comfortable, relaxing and slow living experience.
Good location close to 國華街 and 西門淺草. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast is included — nothing fancy but sufficient, with daily sunny-side-up eggs. The room is clean and remodeled. The bathroom floor is slightly higher than the room, so we had to be mindful when stepping in to avoid tripping. We stayed on the 7th floor (top), but could still hear some street noise. You can also hear neighboring guests shutting doors or kids running and yelling occasionally. Overall experience is not bad, thanks to the great location and the ultra-friendly front desk staff.

There was a time when the appearances we could imagine were gradually diminished by reality, but there was rarely a chance to regain them.

The mirror invites imaginative dreamers to find their lost dreams in the greenery reflected repeatedly on the mirror.
Good location where few attractions are quite nearby especially 永乐市场 where several nice foods are available from morning to night. Net clothing shop is just few steps away. Paper slippers and water bottles are still available but need to take it at the check in counter. You can refill drinking water and take some snacks at 2nd floor.

I recently stayed at the Lakeside Hotel and had a mostly wonderful experience. The room was sparkling clean with incredibly comfortable beds, making it a perfect place to relax. The breakfast was amazing, with a great selection of delicious options. The hotel also offers a pool, sauna, and gym, which are great amenities, though it would have been nice if robes were provided for the sauna and pool. The location is fantastic, and parking is excellent, which made getting around super easy. The staff were helpful and friendly, always available when needed. However, there were a few downsides. In the hotel lobby and restaurant, you are required to order something if you want to sit, which was disappointing as there was no area to work or meet without buying something. It would have been nice to have a comfortable common area. Additionally, during breakfast, the staff were a bit overzealous in clearing dishes. It felt rushed, with them swooping in to take plates as soon as you finished your last bite, which made the otherwise amazing breakfast feel uncomfortable. Overall, despite these small issues, I would definitely stay here again.

Excellent value for money. Considering the price, the room was very well equipped, and even came with a large bathtub. There is also a direct bus from Tainan train station that stops right at the hotel. I got the windowless room, and despite being on the 3rd floor, I couldn’t hear any traffic noise. Really pleased with the room. If you are looking for an affordable hotel in Tainan that will give you a peaceful night’s rest, look no further than this hotel.

I've been to Taiwan many times, and this is the only place I've ever stayed in a 4-star hotel where the price is this good, the breakfast is perfect, and the service is genuine in its cleanliness. I asked for luggage storage service in the morning and the front desk staff went above and beyond the 5-star front desk staff to explain everything in Chinese, Korean and English. I came here for a business trip with my friends and they all gave this hotel a 100 and said they would come back again. The hospitality of the staff will be remembered for the rest of my life. I wish everyone a good health.

Had some issue with our hotel room key. The staff were very proactive trying to resolve the issue, but it was only till the 2nd day of our stay that was resolved.
There was no compensation for the incovenience caused as we only had 1 phisical key for 4 ppl.
Having said that, the rest of the service was very nice, would be happy to go back again.

The hotel included breakfast and dinner, and I was pleasantly surprised to find out about dinner with a free drink per person, as I initially thought only breakfast was included. I highly recommend this hotel for foodies. However, be aware that the dinner menu primarily consists of late-night snack-style dishes, so you might need to grab a little extra of each item to feel full. The front desk staff were very friendly, and overall, it was a good experience!

The space is incredibly well-maintained, still clean and comfortable, with a great sense of design. The lobby atmosphere is so relaxing the moment you walk in. This time, I was able to appreciate every detail even more closely, from the lighting to the furniture arrangement, all very tasteful and perfect for a quiet retreat. The amenities are still top-notch and feel very safe to use. The staff are just as friendly and natural as before, making you feel like you've returned to a familiar place. The whole environment is quiet and very comfortable to stay in, ideal for slowing down. Choosing to stay here again really speaks to its quality and consistency, and I'll definitely be back if I get the chance.

A pleasant surprise was the organic brown rice milk, which was rich, fragrant, and served at the perfect temperature. It was even more delicious with cereals and oats! 千千里之行始於足下The hotel's location is excellent, very close to the coach station. There's a large public hot spring bath, and the breakfast is decent enough to fill you up. The room itself is spacious, but toiletries are scarce; only plastic slippers are provided. Luckily, I brought my own slippers and bathing essentials. The biggest flaw, however, is a step at the entrance to the bathroom, which I accidentally tripped over when entering, causing my toe to become red and painfully swollen. It's a really poor design choice.

GGuest UserYou get what you paid for. 16 minutes walk from the train station. Got a room without window so it's a little stuffy. The aircond temperature is centralized so you can only control to have stronger or weaker blast.
The toilet ceiling is quite low so basically our head could almost reach the top. Made it feel a little small in space.
But otherwise the room is fine.
