easyyongOur stay in Morino Sumika was wonderful. This hotel is probably one the best Hotel (Ryokan) We’ve ever stayed in Japan. We are so impressed with their service. The staffs are polite and responsive even though language barrier. We stayed in a room with open air bath type with balcony looking at the slope garden and hotel itself. The architecture is stunningly beautiful. Room are spacious and bigger than we had expected. The room layout is great. We are so amazed with the hotel facility and everything in the hotel that we want to spend much more time at the hotel rather than going out. The hotel is about 5 km away from Kagaonsen Station in the area called Yamashiro Onsen. They offer shuttle service which we contact them via email. Yamashiro Onsen is very nice and calm. FYI… Kagaonsen Station is 20 minutes travel from Kanazawa by Hokuriku Shinkansen… very convenience..

Regardless, we proactively requested not to prefer to eat beef for religious reasons. However, I was still informed that the hotel policy cannot make any adjustments for anyone. What a joke that you can have more rice! Is this a policy for human beings? Another interesting fact to note is that there is no additional food order option, even if you want to select food options, as long as you are willing to pay for them. What a brand! Overall, I would not recommend anyone with a food allergy, as it may cause an unwelcome experience during your stay. I stayed for 2 nights and had a total of 4 meals for USD 1,400+. I don't think it's worth the money.

I visited at the end of the year. It's a charming inn, and the clientele was relatively quiet and peaceful, consisting of elderly people, groups of adults only, adult families, and foreign couples. There was a wide variety of welcome drinks in the lounge, and although I didn't use it due to the bad weather, there was also a stylish terrace. The room was spacious, clean, and had a nice view. Instead of tea bags, they provided Kaga bancha tea. The hot spring wasn't large, but it was very clean and helped alleviate my back pain. The shower was a ReFa, and the shampoo, conditioner, and body soap had a wonderful scent and didn't leave my hair feeling tight. The food was so delicious that it made the New Year's dishes that followed seem bland in comparison. Having a private room was also a plus. There seemed to be many cute yukata to choose from. The service was excellent, and everyone treated us with great care.

The hotel offers a free shuttle bus to Kaga Onsen Station, a 20-minute ride away. Pick-up times are between 2:00 PM and 5:00 PM, and drop-off times are between 9:00 AM and 12:00 AM (I might be mistaken). It runs every hour, and you can ask Ctrip customer service for reservations. This is the hotel I chose after much deliberation. It has its own private bath in each room, as well as four free private baths with scheduled times and a paid sauna. The rooms are spacious, and the hotel is right by Tsurusen Creek, but it rained both days we were there, preventing us from taking a stroll. As for food, aside from the set main courses (black throat fish, sashimi, and beef sukiyaki), all the side dishes are self-service, which certainly saves on food, but the experience isn't as good. My parents loved it, but it's a shame we didn't have a lot of fun.

Although the location is a bit remote, the bathroom and toilet in the room have no heating and are very cold. However, breakfast and dinner are extremely rich. And the hot spring view on the rooftop on the 13th floor is worth the price of admission.
