"Stayed at the Villa (5 nights) with a friend! A very nice and quiet place, if you have adequate neighbors (before leaving, a group of noisy Chinese checked in, who were swimming in the pool at 2 am and laughing loudly) 🤦🏻♀️, so much so that we even had to go out and ask them to calm down!!! We even wrote a note to the admin, and in the morning we received an apology and an offer of compensation for the ”night rendezvous”!
Overall, everything was great: attentive and responsive staff, beautiful and well-kept territory, the only downside is the restaurant menu (many items were missing, but the cooks 🧑🍳 met us halfway every time and this is a big plus ➕)
Every morning, fresh and delicious pastries were brought to the guests' room!"

"I had the best time staying at mad monkey siquijor. Nelson was amazing and took the time to know everyone's name and treated everyone like a true friend. Definitely give this man a raise! He was a whole vibe! The facilities are cleaned daily and all of the staff is helpful making recommendations or helping to arrange transport. Rooms were very spacious with hot water, AC, and privacy curtains. Highly recommend if you're on the island. Shout out to Pablo the accountant too he and all of the staff make this place so special! Thanks again for everything!"
"A very nice place to stay at! Super friendly and helpful owner and staff. Great menu with a wide variety and very tasty food. A bit remote as it is the most southern resort on Siquijor, and not all tricycle drivers want to drive there, but we still managed and we enjoyed every minute of our 10 day stay. If the resort had had a soft sandy beach, it would have been perfect, but the snorkelling and the beautiful pool made up for it 100%. Wow! A great experience overall! "
"We want to thank the owner Gri and staff at this lovely hotel! The warmth and welcome we felt was phenomenal, as well as the service. The highlight of the stay was the gorgeous pool and view. We loved beginning and ending each day with a dip and hearing the waves crash as we fell asleep. Magical! The flowers and trees on the property are stunning and the rooms are comfortable and reasonably appointed. The beds are firm by western standards but being that we are Americans who live in China, we love this for our backs!
We ate breakfast every morning and one of our dinners in the hotel restaurant and it is very high quality, tasty food. I especially loved the organic spinach and homemade dumplings, as well as the mapo tofu- YUM! The fresh fruit each day was crisp and delicious and I LOVED drinking coconuts by the pool. Thank you, Cherry! Coffee is for purchase at the restaurant, not in the rooms.
The location of the hotel is quite remote, meaning it is peaceful and quiet. I recommend you arrange transportation for excursions in advance each day, or rent a scooter, as waiting for a tricycle can be long. We were told that you can swim and snorkel in front of the hotel but the tide was too low when we tried one day. However, there are snorkels and kayaks for use in the hotel!
The hotel is still developing some of the water activities available. The pool is deep enough for diving courses, but check to make sure they are ready, as the gear is still in order as of Oct 2023. There are snorkel and dive spots a short ride away, however, and you can ask for help at the desk to book a tour or connect with a dive shop."

"We will come to Siquijor Island again. Here we are away from the hustle and bustle of the city. We can quietly feel everything that nature has given us. The private beach, swimming pool and sea in the hotel are so warm. The boss is actually Chinese. We drank tea and chatted with him. He shared with us the comfortable life on Siquijor Island. The boss is very generous. A man from Northeast China treated me to dumplings with garlic. That long-lost taste of my hometown! The lady boss was very pretty and enthusiastic. She helped me change pesos (we didn't have enough cash with us). The exchange rate was 7.8, which was the highest in the past 10 days! In the evening, we were recommended the route and attractions for the second day's island tour. They called a tutu car for us on the second day's island tour for 1,400 pesos from 8:30 am to 5 pm. The driver was very nice and enthusiastic along the way. Every time we arrived at a scenic spot, we were given a different surprise. Siquijor Island is really a treasure island that you must visit once. It was a wonderful journey..."
"I am a budget traveler but really tried staying at Coco Grove for the experience and it did not disappoint. Worth every penny, the food was so so so good, the staff were kind and approachable, amenities are the best most especially the complimentary snorkel at Tubod Marine Sanctuary, and the facility as a whole is soo beautiful. Will definitely comeback."
