Hotel Das Amoreiras - Small Luxury Hotels of the World

I recently returned from Portugal and had to write this review. Everything about this hotel was exceptional.. The owners attention to detail showed in every corner , from the napkins at breakfast, to the wonderful smell from the candle upon entering. I was there with my sister and we both felt very peaceful and well taken care of. Isabel at the front desk was always available and extremely helpful in anything we needed. One night we had a lovely conversation with Frederico at the bar drinking our port after a neighborhood dinner. It truly felt like we were at friends home. We liked it so much we spent my last night in Lisbon there. Looking forward to returning soon. We stayed in a deluxe garden room and also the attic room(which was very spacious) The rooms are lovely and compact, if you can splurge for an attic room I highly recommend.

We had a wonderful stay. The staff were so lovely and kind to my 6 yr old son; generously drying our clothes and shoes after torrential rain. Super comfy bed and delicious breakfast; so many choices. The neighbourhood park is great. Thank you.

I don’t often write reviews, but Hotel Das Amoreiras is a gem of a find. Located in a quiet residential area, but with easy access to Lisbon’s historical sites, it offers a wonderful escape from the hustle and bustle of the city. The hotel has been renovated and decorated to a high standard, and our bedroom was an attractive deluxe garden view room. The bedroom was an adequate size for a few days and the bed, one of the comfiest hotel beds we’ve slept in. And everything so clean - it was lovely to come back at the end of the day to find our bedroom beautifully made up. Breakfast was good, with a variety of options and made for a great start to the day. A couple of evenings we sat in the bar and had cocktails and a snack, and other evenings we had a drink in the park’s cafe-bar opposite the hotel, which was great, as it was always busy with locals. What makes Hotel Das Amoreiras really stand out though, are the exceptional staff - professional, but with a friendly warmth. A great stay - thank you :)

Lovely small boutique hotel in the Amoreiras region. Overlooks a small park in a residential neighbourhood and provides a peaceful setting away from the hustle and bustle of Lisbon city centre. Only 5 minutes walk to Rato Metro station and 2 minutes from the E24 tram into the city. We stayed in the mini deluxe room which compact but okay for just a few days. The staff were all very friendly and professional. The only small criticism would be the lack of breakfast options (every main breakfast dish was egg based). That being said, breakfast was very enjoyable and it was nice to be served rather than have a standard buffet style. Would definitely stay here again when we return to Lisbon.

A wonderful hotel in a quiet area with a nice garden. Luxurious rooms, nice bathrooms. Breakfast was included. And it was a good spread. Staff were polite, Very comfortable rooms. And a good location and get around to Lisbon. The metro station is just a couple of minutes walk

Exceptional value - small boutique hotel with great attention to detail. Best Breakfast ever had in a small hotel . Staff incredibly friendly and helpful for a city that is located 25mins walk from the noisy centre in a cool and charming park square. Bedrooms well appointed- we had a larger room that was stunning overlooking the courtyard. Beautiful stay .

Heartless Hotel: Zero Compassion for Stranded Travelers I recently had the misfortune of booking a reservation at Hotel das Amoreiras, and my experience has been nothing short of a nightmare. Let me preface this by saying that emergencies can happen to anyone, and a little compassion goes a long way. Unfortunately, Hotel das Amoreiras lacks even a basic understanding of customer service. My partner and I were on a road trip when our car unexpectedly broke down, leaving us stranded a whopping 300 km away from the hotel. Given the circumstances, we immediately contacted the hotel to explain our situation and kindly requested to cancel our reservation. To our dismay, the response we received was cold, unhelpful, and downright heartless. Despite explaining the dire circumstances and the impossibility of making it to the hotel, the staff at Hotel das Amoreiras insisted on enforcing their strict cancellation policy. Seeing a business prioritize policy over compassion is disheartening, especially when facing such unexpected and uncontrollable circumstances is disheartening. Also the request for a voucher so we could come and stay at the hotel at a later point was denied. The lack of empathy displayed by Hotel das Amoreiras is truly astonishing. While other establishments might understand the need for flexibility in unforeseen situations, this hotel seems more interested in squeezing every penny out of its guests. It's a shame that a business in the hospitality industry would choose to tarnish its reputation by treating stranded travelers with such disregard

This hotel is a jewel in many ways......location, staff, rooms, food........all services. Whatever we needed to know or services that we required were all addressed with such care and expertise. We were so fortunate to have found this hotel it was the backdrop for a truly wonderful Lisbon vacation and experience!

Stunning hotel in a quiet area of Lisbon, hotel was beautiful with the comfiest bed after long days exploring Lisbon! Breakfast was fantastic and made to order and a great choice. The staff were all great but special thanks to Isabel and Frederico, giving us great suggestions for restaurants and just overall super friendly and helpful and to Krishnan at breakfast.
