The location is average. Although it seems to be in the center, it is actually not close to any attractions and is on the mountain. The white male waiter at the front desk is warm and friendly. You can get a complimentary wine tasting from 5 to 7 o'clock when you check in, but these points are spent at other attractions and you can't catch up with the tasting. Overall relatively safe.

Honestly the lack of attention that the staff gives to the customers is a little shocking given that this place advertises itself as a five star. Would not stay here again.

The hotel was spectacular, all the amenities you could ever want in a hotel. Location was perfect, had a view from our deluxe room of the castle which is lit up at night. Our room was big and beautiful, the hotel offers you 2 free glasses of port. Every night they leave delicious desserts and a small bottle of port or a local liquor. The breakfast was buffet style but you could order anything you wanted made to order. The bar is well appointed and our bartender Daniel makes a great Manhattan! Miguel the sommelier conducted a free wine tasting in the evenings and explained all about Portuguese wine regions, he also recommended wines to go with our meals. The chef makes the mini hamburgers I’ve ever had, I ate them two nights in a row! I would highly recommend this hotel.

the hotel does not answer the phone, and we were having issues with parking, they do have valet but you don't know it. I had to leave a day early and had booked an extra day on the beginning of my trip but they refused to refund the last night. The wall are so thin you can hear everything, conversations, the zipper of suitcases. The hotel is pretty but maybe a different room would have been quite.

Definitely recommended this hotel! They are very accommodating and have beautiful service. The place is very well kept and has a beautiful chic vibe. I loved Staying at Ludovice!!
