Tenuta di Tramonte Boutique Hotel

"Tenuta di Tramonte was one of the nicest hotels we have stayed at in Italy in years. It was a last minute booking when we decided to go a day early before heading to a villa of our friend’s son for a week . It was the best decision . Arriving from London we spent the early afternoon in Lucca which we love and then headed to the hotel. As soon as we arrived we were warmly greeted as if we were friends. The hotel has an amazing setting. We were given a tour of the grounds including the natural pool and were told about the history and the seven year conversion of the convent into a hotel with only seven beautiful rooms each with gorgeous views and huge bathrooms with every little luxury. We ate dinner at the hotel - elegant and each dish was a work of art . Beautifully presented.bread is made at the villa and has to be the best bread in Tuscany. Breakfast was an Italian array with so many handmade pastries and cakes and we ate it looking at the hillside and dreaming about coming back which we will certainly do ."

Hotel Villa Cheli

"I stayed at Villa Cheli for one night in March 2024. The villa and location are stunning. All very nice from the outside. Management, in my opinion, has areas for improvement. In particular: - maintenance and cleaning of the room. - Breakfast. The offer is based on packaged products. Overall everything was fine, but with a little more attention it would be super!"

"First and foremost the people here are the most pleasant you could imagine. They were so helpful especially with getting our car to their location as the GPS apparently likes to take everyone through town. They were so amazing and helpful with everything. Our room was right off the breakfast room and I was worried it would be loud in the morning but it wasn't at all. Loved our 3 night stay!"

"Constenza and her mother were really wonderful hosts! Private parking space provided (safe within the compound) It used to be a nunnery , with a sprawling space inside. Great breakfast provided , and nice decor ! Quiet and memorable , perfect within walking distance of 10 minutes to the old town of Lucca"

Hotel Bernardino

"Unreliable, cancelled a booking made 4/5 weeks in advance. Hotel was booked because within walking distance of Lucca centre. Management changed booking to another hotel not within reasonable distance of centre. When we arrived at alternative hotel Bernardino had cancelled that booking and had “found rooms” with them. Half a day wasted!"
