San Luca Palace
"The hotel is located on the main street of the old city. It is also very close to the city wall park. The location is very good. There is a paid parking space. The hotel room is very big in the old city hotel in Europe. The furnishings can also be the bathroom."
Hotel Ilaria
"Well located and nice lobby. The all day coffee machine was broken but I did enjoy the gratis bubbles in the afternoon . The room was pretty small but efficient but my big complaint were the large number of teeny ants..I first noticed them on the floor by the bed then again in the corner of the bathroom floor by the shower. Kind of grossed me out but other than that a fine stay."
Hotel Palazzo Alexander
"The hotel is located in the old town, so if you're arriving by car, be prepared – the roads are extremely narrow, to the point where it feels like you might hit someone. Also, I wouldn't recommend booking two beds as they are very narrow single beds! The breakfast was decent, and the old town isn't very big, so everything is within walking distance."
Residenza Centro Storico
"Amazing room and location! Very spacious, comfortable and clean."
Piccolo Hotel Puccini
"Sorry I was unable to sleep comfortably. Noise from street and corridor. Historical wooden windows don’t have sound protection. Door also was without sound protection - 1* star amenities. 2* star for service because accommodation doesn’t have 24 reception, no breakfast. 2* star for location because entrance from narrow street, no view from windows. 4* star fro cleanliness - a new renovated accommodation but it’s not a hotel. No bar/cafe, no lobby. Good location. Nice historical town."
Exe Toscana
"We stayed at EXE Toscana during our visit to Lucca and had a very pleasant experience. The room was comfortable, clean, and well maintained, making it a great place to relax after a day of exploring. The breakfast was excellent with a good variety of options, and the staff were friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout our stay. The hotel is conveniently located next to a shopping mall, which is very handy. It's also within walking distance of Lucca Train Station and the historic city walls, making it easy to explore the city. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would happily recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Lucca."
Palazzo Dipinto
"Mother-daughter weekend trip. Beautiful small boutique hotel with clean modern furnishings nd wonderful staff. Room was spacious with high quality toiletries. Free water in the room was missed but there was a pitcher with water and free cantucci cookies at all times. Breakfast was wonderful and location inside the city wall was perfect."
Villa Catelli B&B
"What can I say. From the moment I booked I had great communication with Celeste the owner. Instructions to get into the property with our car were excellent, and get into our 2 rooms excellent as well. The BB is just fantastic. You can walk to Lucca without need to take the car and suffer. You can get parking outside ( there were spots available for free) but we decided to park in their garage. Breakfast was great too. Property is super clean, tidy and it feels like home. If Lucca is your destination THIS should be the place you stay."
Residenza FillAnfi
"What a beautiful place to stay! The location is phenomenal, right in the heart of Lucca, everything you need is within short walking distance and its only 15mins from train station. I’ve travelled a lot and met some good hosts but Valentina tops them all, kind, warm and friendly and very helpful. She kept in touch each day to let me know what was on in Lucca and to make sure I was enjoying my time there. The views from the kitchen are beautiful (see pics) The apartment was very clean, (daily) nice decor and good amenities. I’ll be back to Lucca some day and will stay here again for sure."

Hotel Villa Casanova
"Not what I expected. Although the rooms are spacious and comfortable they lack the individuality to make your stay feel special. Other than the beds the furnishings are of poor quality and are the same in the other rooms and common areas, not what you would expect in a small 5 star hotel. The restaurant is mediocre at best. A very disappointing stay."
Villa Medea in Maggiano
Hotel Villa la Principessa
"Overall OK"
Tenuta di Tramonte Boutique Hotel
"Tenuta di Tramonte was one of the nicest hotels we have stayed at in Italy in years. It was a last minute booking when we decided to go a day early before heading to a villa of our friend’s son for a week . It was the best decision . Arriving from London we spent the early afternoon in Lucca which we love and then headed to the hotel. As soon as we arrived we were warmly greeted as if we were friends. The hotel has an amazing setting. We were given a tour of the grounds including the natural pool and were told about the history and the seven year conversion of the convent into a hotel with only seven beautiful rooms each with gorgeous views and huge bathrooms with every little luxury. We ate dinner at the hotel - elegant and each dish was a work of art . Beautifully presented.bread is made at the villa and has to be the best bread in Tuscany. Breakfast was an Italian array with so many handmade pastries and cakes and we ate it looking at the hillside and dreaming about coming back which we will certainly do ."
Hotel San Marco
"I stayed in Lucca for a few nights on a business trip and I was quite satisfied."
Hotel Villa Cheli
"Splendid historic villa just outside Lucca, quiet and sumptuous. Excellent quality cuisine, accompanied by admirable courtesy. Too bad for some small details that could have been taken care of more: a rubbish bin not emptied, a private party making noise and shooting firecrackers when the other guests would expect the quiet to sleep peacefully. We hope that the management will be able to resolve those small flaws that fail to confirm the absolute quality of an otherwise excellent structure."
B&B Anfiteatro
"It was the second time we visited Lucca and stayed in the hotel. We where again very happy with the accomodation and service. We definitely recommend the place.Rich breakfast every day with many choices, clean, big room, and the best location for exlporing the city."
La Bohème
Lucca Charm
"We love Lucca Charm! Great three night stay in May 2026. The location is amazing - right in the middle of Lucca and easy to walk everywhere including restaurants at night. The room was beautiful and clean, with house cleaning every day which was a lovely addition. The owner Matteo was very kind and helpful. Highly recommend and we will return!"
B&b Pergola House
"B&B in Lucca's walls with excellent prices, abundant breakfast and quality (a good bricks I believe never eaten), spacious and well-treated room. You are just a short distance from all the beautiful things to see in Lucca! Luzy that manages the B&B really kind and gentle and can always give you some advice. Bear in mind that the structure is an ancient palace (but very well maintained) and therefore as such it cannot have some comfort so make it a reason 😉. Even though only one night we finished our long weekend well! "
