Friends recommended this hotel for our stay in Malaga and it did not disappoint. We got a lovely welcome from the staff at reception who had us seated with a glass of Cava within 5 minutes, a quick check easy check in and we were shown to our lovely room on the 4th floor. The room was fabulous and had everything we expected and more. The bathroom and facilities are excellent with lots of hidden touches. The bed is one of the most comfortable we've experienced in ages. We enjoyed the hospitality this hotel has to offer and we enjoyed breakfast at the roof top restaurant and bar plus we visited the pool area, we even had lunch at Carmen on the ground floor. We stayed for four nights and enjoyed Malaga from this perfectly located hotel. If we return to Malaga we will 100% return to this hotel but we also look forward to try the other hotels this group has to offer. Well done to this excellent group of staff.

This hotel sits on the bank of a non-existing river just at the very beginning of the old town of Malaga. Actually, it is on top of the old medieval town wall with some Roman parts. It can be seen through the glass floors you walk on at the entrance to the hotel and even better a half level down. It is fantastic! The whole reception area is very airy and beautiful. Our room was large and very nice. The bed was soft, a very unusual luxury in continental Europa which I very much appreciated. However, there could have been more than one chair in such a large room. It is now completely dominated by the bed. The bathroom was rather big and included two wash basins. Even if it was a bathtub and not a shower, which I prefer, it was well covered with full glass doors, so it worked fine. The only disadvantage was the high walls of the bathtub and together with the internal three steps stair up to the bathroom and entrance it is not very good for those who have restricted movement abilities. Our room had three full lengths windows, so called French windows looking out into a nice car free area. Unfortunately, the hotel was in my view overcautious since they had put a number of large red stickers on them that completely spoiled everything, otherwise it could have been very nice. The breakfast was good with a large buffet, the only thing that could have been added was an omelette chef. The staff in the breakfast room was very nice and even more so those in the reception. I liked this hotel very much.

The service at this hotel was outstanding, I was really made to feel special. The building is beautiful, especially the marble staircase and terrace overlooking the sea. My room was very tastefully and luxuriously decorated, it didn’t have a view, but the price was commensurate for that. Overall the hotel gives an experience of mid tier luxury (not very very top level ala Bulgari hotel, but definitely premium). My biggest complaint is with regards to the gym and spa. The gym is ok, if small, has a squat rack which is great. But there is no locker room or changing area next to it! Any other five star hotel I’ve been to would have a luxurious locker room with a sauna and hot tub etc. Here there wasn’t even a place to change! I had to go back to my room and change into my gym gear the first time I went. Then there is the ‘spa’. Some hot tubs, relaxation areas and a sauna. Very nice, but a €25 EXTRA for guests!! What kind of a luxury hotel charges extra for use of the sauna?! Aside from this, I very much enjoyed my stay and would certainly stay here again.

What an amazing stay at this wonderful hotel. The location is in an elevated position in the hills above Playa de La Caleta, Malaga. The views are lovely. We received a warm welcome, given a brief tour of the facilities and reassured that staff would be available for anything that we needed. We had beautiful rooms with very comfortable beds and sumptuous quality linens, bathroom robes and toiletries. We dined on the terrace and really enjoyed the food here. What makes this hotel a little extra special are the amazing staff members. They are friendly, attentive and professional. It really was an absolute delight to stay here and would love to stay again. stayed for 5 days, cant beat the location. walkable to every point of interest in the historic center. The hotel is designed like a ship so it feels kind of tight inside the hallways and elevator is tiny. Nevertheless, the room design was modern, comfortable and ecofriendly. Cleaning staff does an excellent job. Amazing view from rooftop and food at the restaurant up there was good. NOTE for business travels, or anyone needing to use wifi. Their WIFI is NOT GOOD, it did not work in our room unless we stood close to the door our outside in the wall and common areas. Not helpful when you need to work or use your phone in the privacy of your room. We spoke to staff about it and they were not much help, it is what it is. They say 'you can use the internet in the common area' Okay.. Breakfast buffet is expensive so not really worth it. Doorman will continually ask you if you're staying there, even after seeing you every day lol- guess that's their job. ALSO not friendly for anyone with disabilities or mobility issues, there's no ramp at the front, you have to lift your luggage up the steps. meh

Environment: The location is very good, just in the center of Malaga, the hotel is separated from the road to the pedestrian street, five minutes walk to the subway station, there are many restaurants and cafes around, and the distance from various attractions is very close; Service: The attitude of the staff is also very good, the staff in charge of the night shift does not speak English, but after the translation, it can understand the meaning, and call on time at four o'clock to wake up. My husband and I came to Malaga for a week, and chose Room Mate Valeria after being won over by the pictures of the brightly coloured rooms and good reviews, we made the best choice! Our room was perfect! The bed was sooo comfy, we had a wonderful little outside balcony to take in the lovely view and the shower and facilities in the room were great. Service when we arrived was amazing the staff are really friendly and accommodating, late check out was a lovely bonus, as is their facility to provide beach towels at no extra cost. We had breakfast twice at the hotel, it was ok for me but my husband who is vegetarian had a limited choice of food to choose from so we decided to eat out after. The other main facility the rooftop bar/swimming pool was nice. We never used the swimming pool and I was quite surprised at how small it was (I think the hotel might have been better off not having a pool and just having a roof top and sun lounging area) but the roof top area was always popular and enjoyable. It’s nice that priority is given to hotel guests too. If you don’t want to go to a nightclub but want a late night drink the rooftop is lovely. A nice little touch to an already lovely hotel. Would highly recommend this place.

I love this hotel for it's location, it is right in the centre with shops, bars, restaurants all on your doorstep and a short walk away from all the main attractions in the area. The hotel is spotlessly clean throughout and there is a fabulous rooftop bar/restaurant where you can sit and sip cocktails with views across the city and cathedral. The staff in all departments are so courteous and nothing is too much trouble. They catered for my dietary requirements efficiently (allergies), I felt really relaxed and reassured whilst eating in the restaurant. I was contacted by phone the day before my visit to see if I had any special requests and was looked after by Nuria from Guest experience throughout the stay. Although the hotel is right in the centre of town it was not at all noisy at night time and I slept well in the lovely comfortable bed. The air con and wifi were spot on, as were the facilities in the room and bathroom. This was my second stay in this hotel and will only ever chose this hotel for my future trips to Malaga. I have never stayed in any other Vincci hotel, but will make it a priority to book with this group for trips to other destinations, if the Larios Diez is anything to go by. I would like to thank all at this lovely hotel for making my trip so pleasurable and am looking forward to returning a 3rd time.

Lovely stay at the Soho boutique, great location. Walking distance to the Bull ring, Marina, Amphitheatre, shops etc. This is a well maintained boutique hotel, rooms aren’t the biggest but a fair size, room comes with coffee facilities but no kettle. Bathroom was a nice size and came with toiletries, room also benefited from a pillow menu. Breakfast was included in our stay and is served in the attached cafe, there are 3 set Continental breakfast menu’s which come with either 1 cup of tea or coffee and fruit juice, please note if you want extra coffee or tea this is chargeable which we weren’t really made aware of. Other then that we had a really nice stay, all the staff were friendly and approachable, lovely little find. If we revisit Malaga which am sure we will we would not hesitate in staying here again, thank you hotel Soho Boutique for a lovely stay.

Great little hotel - very conveniently located near (within walking distance) the port and the Old Town. It gives you very much a taste of Spain on both decor and ambience. We liked it very much. Room was small but functional for one or two nights and very clean (looked like a fairly recent refurb too). Despite being located on a fairly busy road, it was surprisingly quiet inside. Very helpful staff, whose English was not too bad. Parking is a five-ten minute walk away and the hotel stamps your ticket for a 15% discount on the rate. It is also extremely good value compared to other hotels in the area. Definitely recommended if you’re looking for a nightstop or a two-night stay.

So the good bits first .. Location - edge of town, so cheaper than the centre for everything but also convenient as only 5mins to the tourist part. Staff- Very friendly and helpful Breakfast - we didn’t book but it looked reasonable Improvements needed.. 1) This is not my idea of boutique there are at least 4 floors and over 100 rooms 2) The balcony is Juliette so no room for sitting but you could see the castle, mountains and Cathederal from ours 3) this is not set up for long stays , as you’ll see from the picture I mainly had to live out of my suitcase - no storage for clothes ( I saw previous complaints so did take a few hangers but hadn’t quite factored in NO drawers at all and just a suit hanger thing) 4) no bin in the room 5) most importantly for those with mobility issues ( I cannot do stairs easily due to prosthetics) not all rooms are accessible by lift - this is not shown or explained on the website . I attach a picture of the stairs to access the front rooms. In my opinion this is a great ‘weekend’ or ‘business trip’ hotel but it still has a lot of improvements needed to make it Boutique and good for holiday makers. TOP TIP- visit the ‘authentic Sherry Bar ‘ just round from the hotel - an experience not advertised anywhere but not to be missed !

First the good parts: - Staff is friendly and helps within the limits of their possibilities - Beds are comfortable - Was given a new room when I had concerns about another guest coughing a lot - location Now the bad stuff: - lockers are too small for most people's bags, which are then placed between the beds. I could fit my backpack only because I can dismantle it - curtains only cover half of the frontside of the bed in some rooms - and even if the whole front is covered at the back there is plenty of room for light to come in - the bed construction is not sturdy enough. If the other person moves, the whole bed is rocking - showers and bathrooms aren't clean. I've seen worse, but also way better. - This seems to be hostel for party crowds. Don't go there if you plan not-party-based vacationing or actually want to sleep at night and not during the day, which many people seem to do - people in the hallway and on the street might as well shout in the room. There seems to be no sound isolation. - when staff was alerted (by multiple people according to their own account) that there was a person who seemed infected they didnt seem to talk to that person and ask for a quick test or that he sleep with a mask. Instead they moved me to a different room upon request and presumably filled the room with someone else since they were fully booked. All in all this was by far the worst two nights during my vacation. It was IMMENSELY OVERPRICED considering what the hostel has to offer. I would NEVER come back and not recommend this to anyone. I even considered moving out early, but I couldn't get a connecting train that would fit my schedule.

We stayed in 4 rooms as a group of 8 friends doing a speedy mini break in Malaga. The standard rooms were set up as twins as we requested and we all very keen and really well appointed. Great water pressure in the shower! All of the front desk staff could not have been more helpful and accommodating. The hotel is so well positioned for a malaga city break just steps from the Cathedral. We had lunch at Matiz which was tasty and even after a miscommunication due to a translation issue they were quick to correct the problem. breakfast was included and was simple and what you would expect - it would be nice to be offered the hotter options as we didn’t realise we could get those until after we had finished our last breakfast!. Our only real disappointment was on our last evening when we were going out for a special meal and wanted to have a cocktail on the roof top bar. We had left 45 minutes but the waiter (v curly hair) wouldn’t serve us at the bar and insisted he would come to take our order - despite telling us on 2 occasion he would just be 2 or 3 minutes (and serving others arriving after us) , it was 20 minutes later and we still hadn’t had a drink so left to go to our dinner reservation which we would otherwise be late for and had a cocktail there instead. It seemed a really disappointing thing to happen and left us very disappointed given the standard of all the other staff and service at the hotel otherwise. We would defiantly return but perhaps steer clear of the rook top bar.

Ease of check in left our bags at 11.00 as we couldn't get until 4.00 the concierge peaks very good English said he would phone when room was ready. Had a few ours sight seeing and shopping. The room was Fabulous we paid extra to have the roof terrace well worth it, we sat outside watching the world go by while having a few drinks. In the room was a list of restaurants listed by what they offered and price. While we were there we tried three of the restaurants amazing and a local bar. Plenty of hot water nice fluffy towels they do not change towels or sheets unless you ask and there is a charge, not sure if its different if you stay a week The one thing that stops it having 5* is you have to take your rubbish outside to the nearest public bin and hope its not full as we found on our last morning and my husband had to go to the next street to find a bin not good at 8.00am.
