I recently stayed at the Hillcrest Motel (simplicity inn - new name) and had read the negative reviews. I needed to stay near the Marshfield Clinic because a family member was in ICU, this was the closest option. When we pulled in I was a tad skeptical because it's a bit rough outside. However, the new owners of less than a month are absolutely amazing - Darby, Brian and Harvey made our stay incredible. They are gracious hosts and went out of their way to accommodate us. They have made many improvements and are making more everyday! I hope I never have to go back to Marshfield but if I do I'm staying at the SIMPLICITY INN (Hillcrest is sold and gone). Very welcoming. I've stayed here twice and I can't say enough about the staff...they are so accommodating and available. The last time I stayed the room was great, however the bathroom ceiling had appeared that there was a leak in the room above. I asked about that room for curiosity's sake and I was told it was out of service. The beds are comfortable the air-conditioning was working and the shower pressure is excellent. The rooms a very clean. The restaurant attached to the hotel, has good food not to mention is very convenient, although having room service would have made it much better... something to think about.
