Sherry Frontenac Oceanfront

We enjoyed our stay here. We have never been to Miami so choosing a hotel out of the thousands on ******* was a chore. I went by Oceanfront and reviews. (And price of course, because I am just a nurse on a budget) As far as amenities, they have a nice little bar conveniently located right off the lobby. I ordered off the SPECIAL COCKTAIL menu they had out and it was fair. The bar manager was really nice and accommodating. Actually, every single staff member I encountered was accommodating! Everyone was so nice. They have a huge pool. With plenty of poolside lounge chairs. And right at the pool was the gate for the Beach. Very convenient. There is a small Liquor Store across the street, a Pizza Hut across the street, and a Walgreens about 2 blocks down. I would have to say the only thing I had a minor complaint about was they charged me a Resort Fee at checkin stating it was to cover the free included breakfast. Which is fine, I can understand that. However, they don’t tell you that the breakfast is just cold cereal, bagels, and yogurt. And if you want scrambled eggs or a hot meat, etc. that’s an up charge and you have to pay for that out-of-pocket. Which we did 1 morning and it was pretty good. The big burning question: would I stay here again? Yep!

Outdated and damaged. Bathroom light flickered like a scary movie. Carpet was disgusting - I wouldn't walk barefoot on it. Remote control was sticky even though I cleaned it myself several times. Breakfast room had mold on ceiling from water leak. Parking area was dirt/gravel and not safe. Was worried my tires would get a nail. Never again!

I like the property, once they finish the renovation it will be a nice place to stay. I like the inside restaurant and the bar and nice atmosphere. One issue i had was that someone else was in my room after i checked in.

The lady who answers the phone to confirm the reservation and provide information is very rude. She hangs up the phone twice and says there's no point in talking

The beach is near.. the hotel needs updating. Poor customer service. I had to call for rags & towels!

I had to bust through the rokm door everytime I open and closed it the bead had dust and dead spiders but they say the room was just clean but didn’t smell like it they lied and said they didn’t have rooms available but gave me a room that was probably cleaned two weeks ago

Terrible check in that took way too long and not organized. Plus we were charged extra for things we didn’t get.

Problem to park my car,no parking spaces, lot is just dirt,they didn’t do housekeeping for my second night.

Location was good and beach in front of it too. Hotel has that old feel, my biggest issues were the hotel keys kept deactivating and had to go to front desk to activate. The continental breakfast didn’t include eggs or bacon, sometimes there was some cheese and fruits and sometimes there were none
