DO NOT stay at this hostel. They stated there was going to be air conditioning, but they turned it off at midnight. RIDICULOUS! You toss and turn at night and wake up sweaty and miserable. If you open the window, noise from the street keeps you awake as well as dogs barking. Sadly, people smoking cigarettes also wafts into the space; this is terrible if you are allergic. Once the sun starts to shine, it warms up the room to over 30 degrees Celsius. To add insult to injury, the owner also does not turn on the hot water for the shower until 8:30 a.m., which makes for a miserable, cold shower in the morning if you are trying to get out to see the sites. The staff at the reception desk are left having to apologize for their owner who does not care about the guests. It is painful to observe and makes me shudder. Gordon Ramsey would have a field day with this place. Downstairs there is a kitchen for guests. Sadly, there is not enough glasses for guests to use, the equipment has seen better days, the refrigerator is too small for all the people in the hostel to use it, there is only one large fork in the utensil drawer and few cutting knives, and the stove gets so hot it has peeled the plastic off the wall by the stove and surprised it has not caught on fire. And I hope you are not allergic to cigarette smoke because the staircase outside the door is a smoker's corner, and it wafts into the kitchen making guests nauseous. And if you take you food out of the kitchen into the other room to eat because of the smoke, management gets angry and tells you have to eat in the kitchen. There is a workspace for guests in an adjacent room, but there are not enough outlets for everyone to hook-up their laptop and the table is too high for the mixed matched chairs. The list goes on and on. Save yourself a headache and find someplace else to stay in Milan. It's not worth the pain and suffering. Guests do not get what they pay for at this establishment.
