Opohotel Porto Aeroporto

It takes about 10 to 15 minutes to walk from the airport to the hotel, and you have to cross the opposite road. I thought there was a free bus directly to the hotel at the airport, but later I realized that I had to make an appointment. Near the airport, it seems that this is the nearest one. After I walked to the hotel, I checked in and booked a free bus to the airport the next day. There was no food on the construction site nearby. It's safer to live here in a hurry. I remember correctly, it seems that breakfast is eight yuan per person.

Overall excellent service, clean and spacious rooms , very helpful and polite staff. We stayed for 10 nights and couldn’t ask for more. Would like to spot light wonderful Raquel at reception desk, who directed and answered any questions we had. All other staff goes extra mile too, to welcome and please their guests. Loved our experience in Portugal, very peaceful, polite and beautiful cities as well as people. Feeling safe and welcoming . Thank you all very much xxx
Solar Antigo Porto Aeroporto

After 3-1/2 weeks in Portugal, we spent our last night at Solar Antigo before catching an early morning flight back to Canada. This place was perfect! Very modern, clean, comfortable, and quiet inside, in spite of its proximity to the airport. You can walk over easily, but this guesthouse also has a shuttle that will drop you off at the terminal door. We were given a welcoming glass of sparkling wine and a plate of chocolate cake when we arrived, and in the morning a basket of breakfast goodies was delivered to our door. The people on staff were absolute gems! There isn’t much to see in the neighbourhood itself, but there’s an elegant restaurant about a block away (O Fernando), and a bit further up the street from that is a more rustic and casual home-style type restaurant. Both were very good. The metro goes out to the airport, but we were so tired when we arrived at the Campanha train station from Guimaraes that we took a taxi to Solar Antigo—the cost was 25 euros, including a tip, and was well worth it to us.
