Guest UserAlthough the hotel has been open for a while, the rooms are well-maintained and don't look old or dated. It's only about a 5-minute walk to the Reef Fleet Terminal, which is really convenient for taking a cruise to the Great Barrier Reef – you can even sleep in a bit longer in the morning!
Since breakfast wasn't included with the room, we added it for two days when we checked in. It was around $40-something per person. I have to say, the breakfast was pretty mediocre, both in terms of variety and taste. Even the tables and chairs weren't as well-kept as the rooms; the chair I sat on was wobbly.
Overall, the hotel is pretty good. The location is convenient, and the rooms are comfortable. There's a decent Italian restaurant on the way to the terminal too.

Anonymous UserI chose the Pullman Hotel for my Cairns trip this time, and overall, my stay was quite pleasant. The hotel's location is very convenient, close to the pier and major attractions in the city, making dining and shopping incredibly easy. The tropical garden design gives it a real vacation vibe, and the pool area is lovely; lounging by the water during the day, enjoying the breeze, was incredibly relaxing. The room was spacious, bright, and well-designed, making for a comfortable stay.
However, minor hiccups are sometimes unavoidable during travel. We encountered a small issue during our stay: an item went missing from our room after housekeeping. I was indeed a bit anxious at the time, as losing something while traveling can definitely dampen one's mood. Thankfully, Manager Lin from the hotel was very attentive upon hearing about the situation. She followed up promptly and efficiently, handling the matter with sincerity, and the issue was quickly resolved. This kind of timely and thoughtful service made us feel very reassured and highlighted the hotel's commitment to guest experience.
Overall, the Pullman's environment, facilities, and service are all top-notch. Although there was a minor setback, it was handled expertly, which in a way made the experience feel more humane and personal. Cairns is already a relaxing place, and staying here made the entire journey even more perfect. I would definitely choose to stay here again on my next visit to Cairns.

LAU ERNOld rundown property. We stayed in a suite that was falling apart. Cabinet door to mini fridge was stuck and needed a lot of effort to open/close. Shower taps were faulty and could not shut the water completely. Water was dripping from shower head throughout the day/night. Housekeeper was not attentive to details. Did not replenish items at the vanity counter in the bathroom after being used. Like facial cotton pads and cotton buds. Floor neither swept nor vacuumed throughout our stay. Curtains in the room was torn on one side. Curtains seemed to be too short and had big gaps in between. We chose a non-smoking room. Other guest were allowed to smoke from their balcony? Couldn’t enjoy the cool air outside at our balcony due to constant inhalation of 2nd-hand smoke. What a shame as the room actually had a wonderful view of the marina. Annoying. Breakfast at the restaurant and VIP lounge were repetitive and we had the same items over our 7-day. Plus point is the location of the hotel. Overall, dated hotel that really needs to be upgraded.

The apartment has a wide view, and the interior is also very spacious. There is a cleaner to change the sheets and clean the room every day, but you must pay attention‼ ️There are mosquitoes, be sure to close the screens!

Stayed at Cairns Plaza for a few nights and found it comfortable and well located.
The staff were friendly and helpful. The location is one of its strongest points, right by the Esplanade, an easy walk to the wharf for Great Barrier Reef excursions, and around ten minutes on foot to the night markets and promenade.
The room was very clean, genuinely spotless. No insects or critters at all, which really matters in this climate. It was spacious, with a fridge and a good sized balcony. My room had both sea and mountain views, which was a nice bonus.
Overall, a solid and reliable hotel. Not luxury, but clean, comfortable, and very convenient for getting around Cairns.

I stayed during my child's spring break.
First of all, you should not mistake it for understanding that this is not a hotel, but an apartment.
It's a very nice place if you can prepare your own things and buy them as needed.
Good access to Cairns shopping centers and major facilities, no problem with rental car parking spaces, the pool is only for guests, so you can use it almost for charter, and you can use the veranda freely. Above all, I liked the owner's friendly greeting and wanted to stay more.
We booked from the day before arrival because the flight from Japan was early in the morning, but we were able to tell us how to enter the room in advance by email, so we took a shower and rested and played well from the afternoon I was able to!
What I'm glad I brought with me was body soap and soft tissue, and what I wanted was a tephron-processed frying pan? I can't think of anything in particular ...
Basically, you can buy anything at the supermarket or the object shop opposite!
Have a nice trip!

YINGThe hotel room is large, the indoor facilities are complete, very close to the sea, although there is no beach, but you can take morning exercises along the coast. The city of Cairns is small and there are not many people, but every morning, many people who run in the morning on the beach will feel that their life is very pleasant. The hotel is not too far from the duty-free shops in the city center, and shopping is quite convenient. The service staff of the hotel was very good. We didn't arrive at the hotel when we arrived at the hotel, but we found us with a vacancy and gave us instant noodles for breakfast. It was very considerate. Overall praise!

The only regrettable hotel in Australia and New Zealand.
Let me talk about the advantages firstly: it is close to the beach, only a few minutes walk, you can walk, no beach, and the sea water is cloudy. Walk to the city center for about half an hour and there are buses.
Besides the disadvantages: the hotel is old, the Wi-Fi signal is often not available, the room is crammed, the kitchen operation table is next to the bed, and you have to be very careful when washing. There was also a striking warning-1,000 fines for triggering a smoke alarm. The swimming pool downstairs was completely unused, with leaves and unknown objects floating in it.
The most frustrating thing is that the ants on the wall are all in the tea cup after returning for a while. At night I crawled into my neck!
Will not go again.

The room here was good but we decided quite quickly to leave as the regular clientele were getting noisier and it was only 4pm.There were a lot of people loitering and apparently they were asked to leave by management. Also had a family member who had booked a room only to be told his room had an issue with the plumbing and it was suggested he sleep in our room, we should have left then in retrospect not 1 1/2 later
