We recently enjoyed a 4-night stay at Mo Yan Homestay (莫颜·莫干山Villa环山溯溪美宿（庾村广场店)) with our two children. The location of this hotel is absolutely fantastic, situated incredibly close to the hiking trails of Moganshan. The amenities are equally impressive, featuring a large outdoor pool, a rooftop barbecue area, and an additional ground-floor barbecue spot. There are plenty of cozy sitting areas both inside and around the hotel for relaxation. For indoor entertainment, the hotel offers a spacious billiard table on the ground floor, as well as an arcade gaming set that our kids couldn’t get enough of. Speaking of the kids, they were thrilled with the children’s themed room we booked. The room’s balcony provided stunning views of the river, mountains, and lush bamboo forests that front the hotel. But what truly sets Mo Yan Homestay apart are the hosts. They are among the best we’ve encountered in China, making us feel completely at home. This was our second trip to Moganshan, and thanks to the incredible hospitality at Mo Yan, it certainly won’t be our last. We’re already looking forward to our next visit. This was my first time visiting Moganshan, and I booked the Shangpo B&B based on Ctrip's ratings and reviews. I was really impressed by the welcome letter, which showed the owner is cultured and thoughtful, and it immediately heightened my expectations for this 'paradise on earth'... The B&B is nestled amidst mountains and bamboo forests, with a three-story, reddish-orange Tuscan-style exterior that exudes a vintage charm. It feels incredibly exotic being surrounded by the bamboo sea and mountains. The environment here is serene and peaceful, truly a 'paradise away from the hustle and bustle' as described in the welcome letter. The room was clean and elegant, offering mountain views right from the moment you open the door. Every detail exuded a subtle luxury. My favorite part was the artwork in the common areas – several Picasso-esque paintings by Dutch artists, paired with light luxury, simple European furniture, creating a striking visual contrast between modern and vintage that sparks a unique aesthetic romance. Both the Chinese and Western meals here were incredibly delicious, fresh, and exquisitely prepared. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner could all be customized to guests' requests; it truly felt like everyone was a VIP. The service at the B&B was also outstanding. Coffee and mineral water were provided free of charge and unlimited throughout the day! The housekeeper was warm, attentive, and incredibly responsive to every request. This is, without a doubt, the best-serviced B&B I've ever stayed at. I will definitely be back!

Our two-day 'retreat' with my mom and grandma has come to a perfect end! A big thank you to our butler, Xiao Liu, for the thoughtful arrangements. He upgraded our rooms and every meal was delicious. The elders in my family are always so happy when they're in a natural, mountain setting. The rooms were spacious and had everything we needed – we didn't have to prepare a thing. Plus, there were charging stations for our electric car, so all we had to do was relax. We'll definitely be back!

Location: Opposite Jun'anli, very close to the starting point of Moganshan Cross-country Race. You can clean up your stomach in the hotel and walk over to start running. You don't need to store your bag, let alone queue for the bathroom near the starting point. Environment: The whole villa with front and back yards is spacious and open. Because of the gate, it is private and well separated from the street. There is a large outdoor swimming pool and grass canopy in the yard. There are many small chairs, small tables, hanging chairs, and flowers and plants to rest and daze. The lobby on the first floor is very spacious, the sofa is very comfortable, and the combination of various exquisite furnishings and plants can show the boss's love for life. Many still life sketches can be taken in different small corners. Room: The room is spacious, clean and tidy, needless to say, the bedding is well-received, the bed is just soft and hard, and the latex pillow is very friendly to my sensitive neck! I slept very well for two nights. I like the windows on one wall, with a bamboo forest outside the window, and a wall like a painting. The frame does not change and the content of the painting changes with the seasons. The quality of various toiletries and aromatherapy is very good. The blueberries for welcome fruit are also washed in a box, touching! Breakfast: Choose according to the menu the day before. The boss specially prepares a special breakfast at 6 o'clock for the cross-country racers. The sandwich is well received! The sour soup noodles for daily breakfast are well received! The boss can take care of all kinds of taboos, which is touching! Service: The boss is super nice, warm and thoughtful, beautiful and considerate, making people feel at home. I hope that the track organized by Kalas next time will be different from that of TNF, so that there will be another reason to come back!

Since I stayed at both Naked Stables and Naked Castle, and booked Naked Stables through their official mini-program, I'll provide a comprehensive review of the rooms, environment, dining, and service to offer more reference points for your choice. **Rooms:** At Naked Stables, I stayed in the rammed earth hut on the hilltop, and at Naked Castle, I had a cliff-view suite. In terms of rooms, the rammed earth hut felt a bit dated, while the cliff-view suite offered a superior view. **Environment:** Before visiting Naked Castle, I absolutely loved Naked Stables. Even after 15 years, its 'wild luxury' concept still leads the pack. However, after going to Naked Castle, I grew to prefer its hilltop scenery, which offers a breathtaking panoramic view of the mountains. **Dining:** At Naked Stables, we dined at Tian She, and at Naked Castle, we ate at the Paotailou Chinese Restaurant. Tian She at Naked Stables was a clear winner; their home-style dishes were exceptionally well-prepared. In contrast, Paotailou Chinese Restaurant had no distinctive features and wasn't even particularly tasty. **Service:** Relatively speaking, Naked Castle provided a more detailed service with a one-on-one butler, Xiao Yang, in addition to their official customer service. However, both resorts lacked standardized training. For instance, regarding departure gifts, which were clearly included in the booking, Naked Stables didn't offer one during check-out. After I brought it up, they gave me one cup, and then another when I mentioned that others received two. Naked Castle, on the other hand, asked me to choose a color beforehand, which was great. But then why were the sizes different between the two resorts? I found that very odd. The smaller size given by Naked Castle was less practical. I experienced travel photography at both, from the same company. I preferred the photos from Naked Stables, and their customer service was also more accommodating and polite. **Friendly Reminders:** The round bed in the rammed earth huts at Naked Stables only has a bathtub and no shower, so choose carefully if you're not a couple. The mountain road to Naked Castle can be challenging for new drivers, so please drive safely. Also, Naked Castle had many insects at night that I'd never seen before. Furthermore, for a luxury hotel priced over 3000, it's unheard of for the mini-bar to separate non-alcoholic beverages and snacks, making only the soft drinks free. It's either all free or nothing. Why offer some items for a fee and some for free, then place them together and expect guests to scan codes to figure out which is which? Guests paying this price typically don't mind spending a bit extra on food, but it's truly a hassle…

A fantastic experience! The service was excellent. The environment was truly beautiful, but due to its location, there aren't many dining options nearby, so a car is essential. This was a bit inconvenient for us as we're not very confident drivers. On the other hand, the hotel's restaurant had amazing food and a great ambiance! I've already recommended it to several friends on social media. My suggestion for the hotel would be to improve the in-room amenities such as the mini-bar, refrigerator, wine glasses, ice bucket, and tea set. Otherwise, it's hard to store any food or drinks you bring back.

This guesthouse has so much character! The owner clearly put a lot of thought and effort into the design. The massive, floor-to-ceiling bookshelf instantly brings a sense of calm, which is especially welcome on a hot summer day. It’s the perfect spot to unwind, browse books, read, or simply have a moment of quiet reflection. Oh, and the owner even gave me a complimentary room upgrade, which was incredibly comfortable.

I brought my kids here for the summer holidays. The room wasn't quite my style, but the service attitude was truly excellent. During my stay, the door lock wouldn't open, and I contacted Xiaoyue who immediately arranged for an engineer to fix it. I also encountered a small issue at one of the activities, and the on-site staff didn't know how to handle it. Again, Xiaoyue promptly stepped in and resolved it. These 5 stars are for Xiaoyue; she seems to be the resort's service ambassador, as she's the go-to person for most problems. Whether it was arranging a shuttle or getting items sent to the room, she handled everything perfectly. Sometimes her WeChat replies were a bit slow, and I actually considered complaining, haha, but then I saw at the front desk that Xiaoyue *was* the front desk! She was also checking guests in, so no wonder her replies were slow. After chatting for a bit, I realized how hard she works, having to attend to other guests too. Thumbs up for such great service! The room hygiene was also pretty good; it's hard to avoid some outdoor elements.

My trip to Moganshan was spurred by a rare good weather weekend and a spontaneous decision. I blindly booked this B&B on Trip.com simply because I liked its name, 'Moshangyin'. I'm just a hopelessly spontaneous person. My suitcase packed clothes for tomorrow, my camera, and a bottle of red wine. I specifically booked a room with a bathtub, hoping to get tipsy under a sky full of stars before drifting off to sleep. However, the reality was I ended up sharing that bottle of wine over a staff meal at the B&B. I met the lovely and fun Sister Fen, known as 'Moganshan's Queen', and the incredibly approachable and wise B&B owner, Da Ling. She cooked me delicious shredded pork noodles and helped me take many great photos. I was the only guest who got to join that meal, simply because I was the only solo guest at the whole B&B – how both sad and interesting is that? In my heart, Moshangyin in Moganshan definitely deserves a five-star review.
