Hotels Near Myeongdong Station in Seoul

I've been staying at this hotel for a decade, and its location has always been superb. However, the facilities have really gone downhill and are now almost at a hostel standard, especially the bedding. On this most recent stay, upon entering the ground floor lobby, I was immediately hit by a strong sewage smell, which also permeated my room. The carpet in the room felt visibly dirty. It feels like the hotel is in desperate need of a major renovation and upgrade. On a positive note, the staff's service attitude was excellent.

The hotel is conveniently located very close to Metro Line 5. However, reaching Line 2 or Line 4 involves a significant walk, as you have to navigate past the Line 5 station area, which takes approximately 10 to 15 minutes. On the plus side, there's a convenient airport shuttle bus stop nearby, making travel to the airport very easy. My experience wasn't entirely positive, though. I was assigned a room at the very end of the corridor, and the Wi-Fi was extremely poor. Specifically, from the bed closer to the exterior wall, I could barely connect at all.

The location is fantastic, just a 5-minute walk from Exit 14 of Dongdaemun History & Culture Park subway station (though my navigation suggested 10 minutes via main roads, there's a convenient shortcut). The lobby on the 14th floor is very spacious. The room was impressively large, bigger than other properties of the same brand I've stayed at, including one nearby and another in Jeju Island (this is my third time staying with this chain). The bed was nothing special, about 1 meter wide, but perfectly adequate for a solo traveler. If I return to the area, this would absolutely be my top choice! The attached photo is of Hongdae – I completely forgot to take pictures of the hotel itself!

I really liked the apartments. Beautiful, spacious and clean. The location is three steps from the metro. Of the minuses, the sign should be brought into line, you book a hotel and search by name, but there is a different name. Because of this, I had to get lost. I would also like to have hand soap immediately, at least liquid, at least solid. You check in and immediately have to go out to buy soap. This minimum should be. But otherwise, a wonderful hotel, matches the price.

Very good location for food and shopping. It is also located near 2 sub-way stations which makes it very convenient for travel. The concierge was very helpful when I checked out. He provided me with information on where to take the sub-way to the airport and even went out of his way to show me the sub-way location. In terms of security, it is fairly safe as we need to tap our room card in the lift to get access to our room.

This hotel is very close to the metro station Bell Road 5th Street Exit 2, about 10 minutes walk, very close to the center point! The staff at the hotel were very friendly and helpful to our travelers. We checked in at 3pm and the room was very clean! There is also a large balcony, but in the summer I do not go out, the weather is too hot, if the winter, it is really perfect! There are many sockets in the room , remember to bring an adapter. The drinks and cakes at the coffee shop downstairs are excellent, and the owner even gave us free breakfast! You go every day and get free food every day, and it's very courteous so if you want to take out will give you a box to take away. Really good service 👍🏻 We were a group of 5 people and we liked this hotel! The one my brother lives in is a 3-person room with a bathtub! If I come back to play again, I will definitely book this one again 👍🏻 Highly recommended 👍🏻

Our 5-day, 4-night stay at this hotel was quite good! We booked a triple room for two adults and one child. It's worth noting that many hotels in Korea charge per person, unlike in China where a standard room can often accommodate three. It's best to confirm this before booking. Getting there from the airport: Take bus 6015 and get off at the 'Hotel G3' stop. While there are Chinese announcements before the stop, it's still wise to pay attention. Remember to press the red button above your seat one stop prior to signal the driver. Once you get off, walk down a gentle slope for a few dozen meters (no stairs), turn left, and you'll see the hotel. It's very conveniently located! (To return to the airport, wait at the same stop. Make sure to have 17,000 KRW cash per person ready.) The hotel lobby is on the second basement level (B2). The front desk staff speak English, and check-in was very quick. They'll hand you a small slip of paper with your room number and door code. Remember to take a photo of it and then dispose of the paper safely, as losing it could be a security risk. While the hotel isn't directly in Myeongdong (it's about a 10-15 minute walk to the shopping street), its location is excellent due to its proximity to public transport. Chungmuro subway station is right downstairs, just outside the hotel entrance, and it's only one stop away from Myeongdong. The room itself is a bit small, but it's well-equipped with a large refrigerator and a microwave, which were incredibly convenient. There's also a supermarket downstairs where we could easily grab snacks. For breakfast, we often bought rice balls, cakes, and delicious milk from the nearby convenience store. Additionally, there's a washing machine with a dryer function. If you plan to use it, make sure to bring your own laundry detergent, though we personally didn't use this amenity. The room's soundproofing was pretty good, and bath towels were replaced daily. The elevators were acceptable; we never had to wait too long. Hotel is close to Myeongdong station exit 9 and very convenient to take airport shuttle bus 6001/6015. It is located on Myeongdong which has lots of shops and restaurants. You can also have a cup of free coffee everyday on the 3rd floor. Highly recommended for tourists to stay in Seoul.

Just beside the night market at Myeongdong & subway station. Opposite there are Lotte shopping malls. Convenient location for shopping. However toilet a bit small but okay for one pax. Cleanliness is good.

From the Incheon airport, you can take AREX and change to line 1 at Seoul Station. You can change to line 4 from Seoul station and get off at the next station, Hoehyeon station. You can go to exit 3. Unfortunately, there is no escalator, so if you have heavy luggage and things, you must go up the stairs yourself. Except for this drawback, the location was good, near Myeondong, and I also went to the Namsan cable car on foot. The welcoming and check-in process was easy. The breakfast selection was varied and a little bit crowded. Room cleaning is not satisfactory, cause the inside door area of my room was sticky and it remained for three consecutive days. The gym and pool were small. To sum up, I would love to stay again next time.
