Romyen Garden Place

Nakhon Ratchasima|2.21km from Phon Lan Gate
On this trip, I decided to explore Thailand more and travelled inland to Korat (aka Nakhon Ratchasima) in the north-east Isan region (about a four-hour, 209 baht bus ride from Bangkok) for a week. Because it is a long way from the sea and a lot hotter (41 degrees), I was looking for a hotel with a pool. The Romyen is very conveniently located, about 10 minutes walk from the centre, but off the main street so it proves an oasis of calm. The pool, surrounded by trees, has lovely warm water and towels are provided. The hotel cost more than my usual budget but it was worth it for all the quality. The large rooms were very impressive with crisp modern lines and an uncluttered Japanese/Zen-like simplicity (there seemed to be a lot of Japanese influence in Korat, with cafes, restaurants, karaoke and a GINZA area). A quiet efficient air conditioner, a big fridge, free water, a kettle with tbags and coffee sachets, a flat tv with many channels and a balcony all added to the comfort. As the food in two of the three Isan restaurants we tried had disappointed, we ate mainly in food courts (The Mall, with its spectacular waterfall and beautiful fish ponds, and Terminal 21 both offer excellent cheap local food -- this is the same Terminal 21 where there was the recent terrible massacre) and the hotel restaurant which was consistently excellent and reasonably priced. We enjoyed their gyoza dumplings, their wontons stuffed with prawns, their spicy pork and chicken dishes. My only suggestions would be safes in all rooms and a bookcase so that travellers can swap books. All in all, highly recommended.

We took the deluxe room for only 20th night and we were more than pleasantly surprised because the room is very spacious, staff is very friendly and the evening you have several restaurants nearby. To visit you must take a taxi but sincerely we strongly recommend it.

The room - bathroom is clean, inexpensive, there is coffee to eat. There is a mirror but no dressing table. Therefore it makes it a little difficult when dressing up A lot of plugs, but the plug for the dryer is far from the mirror. But if you don't look at these two disadvantages Considered very pleasant to stay

Newly renovated room, convenient transportation, near the old bus station, near Yamo, convenient to find food. But stuck at nine o'clock in the morning, the maid opens the room to clean. No knocking in the room first. In addition, there is no U lock in the room, if there is a good thing, it will feel safer. I want to train a housekeeper.

- This trip has a chance to go to Korat. I have reserved only 3 days in advance, booked through Agoda. Project we travel together The price we paid is 420 baht per night including breakfast - just when booking, compare the price with hop inn 390 per night without breakfast. So I booked here because I added 30 baht, got 2 breakfasts, so I thought it was more worthwhile. - The hotel is on Yommarat Road in the Korat city area. Convenient to travel. - Hotel parking lot. Near the parking lot, there is a faucet to wash your feet with the water tank of the hotel. Just go straight to the sandy soil. So I like that it's convenient to wash your feet before going into the room. - The lobby area is open-air style. - Twin bed rooms are on the 2nd floor, have to go up the stairs only. - Like that the rooms here have sofas as well. because it is more comfortable to sit than a hard chair The general hotel has only one. But here, both sofas and chairs can fit 2 guests, otherwise the other person has to sit on the bed. - Forget to take a picture of the view outside the window. That is, it's the wall of the building on the other side, nothing. - The bathroom has a separate wet zone, dry zone, like it very much, but there are some black stains on the tiles. not smiling much It can be stressful that there are not many guests. Let's smile for the last day before checking out. - The restaurant came in August. During the year 2020 with covids, there are not many guests. He turned on the fan. Didn't turn on the air conditioner, stayed for 2 days, both days there were 4 people eating in the dining room - when the guests went down to the restaurant front desk staff Will arrange an American breakfast set for each person 1 dish as follows: 2 sausages, 1 piece of ham, 1 fried egg and salad, can't add more - The counter will be an unlimited filling point, will have bread Toaster, jam, margarine, orange juice, milk, milo packet, jasmine flavored Chinese tea packet Coffee that is put in a jar to scoop and brew by yourself. With sugar and non-dairy creamer have hot pot Cold water to fill - the hotel owner probably likes Thai Airways. Therefore, there is a picture of an airplane attached to the dining room and put it as the name of the hotel as well. - In conclusion, the room has everything that is needed, which is a sofa (usually there are only chairs). Bathroom separate wet and dry zone Fair cleanliness Simple breakfast style, buy macro to make note, if you don't leave the key at the counter The housekeeper will not go in to clean the room for me. I will put 2 bottles of water just in front of the room.
