Hampton Inn by Hilton New York Times Square

We stayed around thanksgiving time. Great hotel to be close to the Macy’s parade. We only had to walk 1/2 a block. The hotel has 2 hotels in one. Which can get crowded when getting on the elevators. Room seem smaller than most hotels. With just enough room to move around. Hall way are extremely thin allowing foot traffic to be as single file line. Room service for cleaning is every 2 or 4 days. You have to let front desk if you need anything replenished. They will stock you up and night time, so be prepared to have a visitor at night. Unfortunately we were too tired to get up for breakfast. So we missed out on it and can’t review the breakfast. Hosts were nice and welcoming.

Hotel is in a good location if you’re looking for something relatively central in Manhattan. Like most of the reviews the elevators are very slow in the morning and mid afternoons (waited almost 20min). No parking on site (typical for Manhattan) but valet was pricey at $85 a night. Room was clean and hotel was quiet.

Good location however extremely busy due to close proximity to Times Square. Room was nice but very small.

Great location, very clean, friendly staff, just can’t cool lower than 68 and air won’t stay running.

Great hotel in the middle of Times Square and theatre district. Convenient and very clean. A new property. Super slow and typically crammed elevators and similarly very overloaded breakfast accommodations. Small lobby that always felt like you were jockeying around people and hunting for a seat to sit down, same for breakfast on weekend in February. Long retrieval time for valeted car (1 hour on Sunday morning at 9 am). Rooms were well decorated, new and very clean. But very small and very tight to navigate around in. If you have flown in economy with 10 across seating, this was a similar experience. Looking for a new, clean and convenient hotel, this is the one. Looking for some friendly customer service and reasonable level of accommodation in the public spaces of a hotel, I would keep looking...

Took me hours to try to pick a hotel for our first NYC trip. Finally settled on Hampton Inn based on cost. Now that the trip is over let me tell you, if this is a short vacation trip and you have a lot of plans, this hotel is perfect. It's exactly what you need and nothing more. We literally only slept here so I'm glad I spent less. Everything they did, they did very well. The room was small but very modern and fresh looking and totally spotless. Bed was quite comfy but not top of the line. There's a hidden mini fridge and microwave which I didn't notice until after I didn't bring my leftovers back. The free breakfast is outstanding and includes mini omletes, waffles, potatoes, sausage, cereals, hot sandwiches, toast, bagels, and more. Most hotels that offer breakfast in the city charge up to $50/pp. DO NOT expect to check in before 3. If you want to check in earlier then PAY THE EXTRA $50 WHEN YOU BOOK! Otherwise they will hold your luggage for you. The location is insanely perfect. You're 2 blocks from Broadway. 2 blocks from Radio City Music Hall and Rockefeller Center, including the Today Show sidewalk so plan that! There's multiple subway stations within a couple blocks. Central park is a 10 min walk. 5th world class shopping is a few blocks. Just perfect perfect perfect! Don't spend more on the fancy hotels unless you have a family or are staying more than a few days. Save your money and stay here.

Ran into many issues while staying at this location for 5 nights. Maintenance tried to enter my room one morning thinking I had checked out when my reservation ended the following day. Not only did I have multiple disturbances but house keeping was also disappointing having taken my towels and not replenishing them after two nights and never filling up the amenities in the room. Front desk made no effort to remedy situations when called about them. Would not stay at this property again even tho it was conveniently located and comparably cheaper. Ive stayed in many hotels as I travel for work and this felt like an unsafe and unprofessional hotel.
