I have stayed here before, and been fine with the place, but on this most recent occasion, it was a mess. To begin with, it took about 25 minutes to check in, due to the power being interrupted at the front desk twice. Each time it happened, as the hard-working front desk attendant had to explain to us, due to nearby construction, the entire system had to reboot, which took a long while. Even after it rebooted, everything was running painfully slow.
As for the room itself, it was also pretty beat up, including tears in the carpet, and a large crack in the shower, which also had a very loose faucet fixture. Additionally, almost nothing in the room worked properly: The wall-mounted thermostat didn’t affect the room temperature, which was too cool for a late November day; the TV remote didn’t work, which meant I had to try and manually work the television, which also failed. I tried to phone the front desk about it, but the phone was also not working properly. Eventually, I just walked to the front desk in-person, and the attendant brought around a new remote, but that, too, didn’t work, and worse, the TV kept suddenly turning itself on, over and over into the night, until I finally unplugged it out of total exasperation.
Not sure what has happened there, but despite the apologetic staff working hard to overcome all these issues, my stay was pretty unsatisfactory. The place needs some serious attention paid to basic upkeep.
