Grand Fiesta Americana Oaxaca

Oaxaca|0.83km from Research Library Juan de Córdova
We stayed here for 1 night while in Oaxaca. This is a new property and it's nice. The room was quiet and comfortable. The building itself is neat - they created multiple interior courtyards so that all the rooms have windows. We had breakfast at the hotel and it was nice. I used the gym - it's small but has everything that's needed. This is a nice 4 star hotel. Some of the reviews talk about how nice it is...it is nice, but this is not a 5 star hotel, so definitely set your expectations on that, especially if you're used to 5 star properties. The only issue we had was w/ the concierge desk. We'd emailed about airport transport and they wrote back right away setting that up for us. When we wrote a second time about the botanical gardens, we received no response. Then, since we assumed the gardens were closed the day we were going to be there, we wrote to ask about a tour to Monte Alban. No response. I sent a follow up email and did not receive a response. So I called. The person I spoke with on the phone told me someone would call me back. I explained they could call or simply reply to my email. No one called or wrote so I went ahead and booked a tour w/ a provider I found on Trip Advisor. Upon arrival at the airpot, our driver told us asked us about our tour for that day. It turns out the concierge desk had booked us a tour but not bothered to tell us. This was so unfortunate because 1) I'd literally followed up twice trying to get a response and 2) we had to tell the tour company we were not available, which I felt really bad about. Anyhow, sorry to write too much about that experience but it was frustrating and something that could have been avoided with slightly better communication.

Casa de Sierra Azul

We have been very friendly and helpful with the staff and we have been very helpful with the staff and we have been helpful with the staff to keep the bikes in the night. Gabriel and Juan Carlos were excellent in the restaurant. We were in room 5 and the only detail is that the hot water is late to get out. A great center, well located, small and cosy place. We will surely return.
Hotel Marques Del Valle

I have traveled the world and this hotel always calls me back. Location, location, location is of course its biggest asset, but being the center of the city of Oaxaca with all it has to offer within 10 minute walk no matter what direction makes it unique. Clean, fantastic staff and great food. Sitting in the restaurant and seeing Oaxaca parade in front of you is absolutely priceless.
Gala Oaxaca

The truth is that for the price I didn't expect much, the rooms are small, but there are suites with view of the zocal, it is a few steps from the zocal, for the market on November 20, super easy to reach everywhere, it has no restaurant but they give you a discount for one there two squares, there is a xxo below and many food options there, the place is clean, and beds although they are not the best and only have a cockroach are okay, the best was attention, they have tours The staff were very friendly and the roommates were the best, they helped me wash a panty and they were very nice. Heat water 24/7, good water pressure, family hotel, little noise despite location, NO HOTEL 5 STERS, but in quality price I give you a 10... It's a lot of stairs, So if people of the third age or with children in arms go to take that in mind, there is no need to worry about the baggage****, Rogelio is very kind and helps to pick up and down the baggage.
Hotel Mayis
4.1/524 Reviews
The Mayis, while in an old traditional building in central Oaxaca, is in pristine condition and may well have been refurbished since its last review in 2017. Although my room had a view of the street, it wasn't too noisy. A bit on the expensive side, showing that Oaxaca is very much back on the tourist map---not that I would begrudge this, with hospitality having suffered so much during the pandemic. And my room was a bit on the small side; I could have done with a chair for the table instead of having to sit on the bed. Still, not a bad hotel and I couldn't fault it for its immaculate condition.
