Although I was not staying at the W, the MIXup cafe is a fun spot in the middle of Osaka to have a tea or coffee and their amazing dessert(s). I was looking to try their seasonal dessert, the strawberry mille feuille, although it was already sold out when I arrived. This gives me another reason to return soon! The staff was so friendly and helpful. Upon arrival, I was swiftly shown to my table that I reserved ahead of time (thanks, Marriott Bonvoy), and was walked through the menu and how their orders work. Many teas to choose from, and the cake I chose was plated so beautifully. The chantilly cream with the berries - out of this world! The entire experience was smooth, and I was delighted with the level of service provided. In a way, this is ”normal” and expected for Japan, but I want to highlight that I really enjoyed this visit and look forward to going back.

Lovely hotel but was a bit small (hardly has space to open a luggage) and the air-conditioning can be a little noisy at times but nothing unbearable. Cozy room, pleasant staff, good house keeping, and sufficient amenities. They allow you to store your luggage with them after check out for the day which is great! For those who are tall, there is a step up to the bathroom (I have included pictures) so you will be quite close to the ceiling. In the tub I can easily touch the ceiling (I'm about 166cm in height).

If there are not enough, you have to help yourself at the front desk and they will not be replenished. The two 26-inch suitcases are a bit cramped when opened, making it difficult to pack. If you stay for more than one night, the room will be cleaned and sheets will be laid out.

Loved this hotel - got a twin room for affordable price and it was spacious by Japanese standards with a proper desk, shower + bath, separate toilet and sink which were very functional and convenient. The hotel overall is very modern, clean and comfortable, the staff are friendly and helpful. Not to forget the amazing prime location near Dotonbori and the shopping *****. Would definitely recommend and stay here again in the future :)

Exceptional service - the front desk helped me to arrange taxi to the airport and it was not easy because they were fully booked. The person tried many times and finally found a taxi for us, much to our relief. The front desk is trained to ask all the right questions, staying calm. They also helped to receive my transferred luggage from another hotel. All timely and accurately. It deserved a 6 star for such exceptional service. The hotel ambience has a calming effect as it is dark but lighted on the areas that you need to see. We have no problem even though some people commented on it. Great location Room size is comfortable and considered a fair size, in fact, slightly larger and well planned. Breakfast has a good spread. Think it is great to open at 6.30 am as it gives maximum time to have an early start. Highly recommended for couple and families.

Overall quite ok to stay here. But the bath towel has some smell although they changed towel daily. Check in and check out by using robot is easier and faster. If your charger is on your bed or perfume on the bed frame there, they will not help you clean and tidy the bed, they said is their hotel policy.
