Capital Coast Resort and Spa

Hotel is in need of some maintenance. The building hasn’t been cared for at all, it’s really run down. Handles falling off, pictures not straight or falling off. AC not working , ceiling tiles damaged or water stained etc etc We found reception to be ok and helpful, but did have a problem with the extra (sofa bed) the mattress is literally a piece of foam about 2 inches thick. Not good if your anything older than a 7 year old. The room we had was huge and nice (apart from that sofa bed) I would not come back Thanks Martin Noisy kids in the pool at 22.30!!
Kiniras Traditional Hotel & Restaurant

We stayed for our holidays in Paphos at the Kiniras Hotel, which is in the heart of Paphos City center. The hotel and the rooms were very clean and nicely decorated. The owners and the stuff were very friendly and helpful! In the morning we enjoyed our breakfast in the quiet back yard of the hotel. You can walk easily around the city center, were you can find many shops, restaurants, coffee shops etc. We had a great time at Kiniras Hotel and I surly recommend it, especially for those who like a friendly and quiet place to stay! Was value for money!
Helios Bay Hotel and Suites

Just returned from 7 nights at Helios Bay. It is a lovely hotel in a great location. It was really hot (approx 32 degrees each day at the end of September). Pros: - Pool is really nice, clean and a good size - Plenty of sunbeds - we had no issue finding 2 together in the sun at any time of the day - Pool bar is good for drinks and snacks e.g. ice creams, toasties, chips, small meals - Beautiful views and a coastal path (perfect place to watch the sunsets) - Bus 615 stops right outside and goes to Coral Bay or down to Paphos. Single tickets are 1.50 or you can buy a day ticket for 5 euros. We asked about a weekly ticket but were told these were not available. We didn't use the beach nearby as we went up to Coral Bay on the bus (much less rocky/stoney and the sea is calmer) - would recommend going there - the Corallia Beach (the last stop on the bus) is lovely and is 7.50 a day for x2 sunbeds and a parasol. We also used the buses to get to Aphrodite's Rock which was nice. The supermarket (I think called Sklavenitis) inside Kings Mall is far better than the Lidl and only a few stops further on the bus - go there if you want a larger selection of food. I have a nut & sesame seed allergy and was unable to find many suitable things in the Lidl but found loads there including British chocolate and bread safe for me to eat. We cooked our own breakfasts each day so can't comment on the breakfast at the hotel. There is a small kiosk style shop 2 doors down from the hotel where you can buy essentials e.g. drinks, snacks, gifts. The New Horizon pub next door to that was a favourite of ours. We ate there 3 times and other nights went to watch the rugby or football. Nice atmosphere and also very allergy friendly - menus are allergy coded and the staff really helpful. Cons: - We arrived very late (approx 2am) due to our Gatwick flight being delayed. We were handed a key and on arrival at our room realised were on the ground floor (104) with a view of some villas. We had paid extra for a side sea view room so I went and spoke to the receptionist and requested a room change. He reported he was just the night man and told me to go back in the morning. I went back at 8am and they did move us later that day to the other side of the block and up a higher level (room 216) where the views were 1000 times better and we actually had the view we'd paid for. Be careful of this as I have read this in other reviews. This is one of my only negatives as it did disappoint us on arrival and I felt like we had just been given the last room due to arriving late. - Only other small negative was the lack of entertainment on a night. The sun set at approx 6.45pm whilst we were there which meant it was dark early. The hotel became really quiet and you had to go to the pub nearby or into Paphos for any entertainment, drinks etc. It would have been nice to have music / something going on each night at the hotel itself. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would stay here again - j
Blue Lagoon Kosher Hotel (by Capital Coast Resort & Spa)

We came in December, during the off-season. The hotel was very inexpensive (315 Euro for 3 nights) and not crowded. Our room was huge - a full kitchen with appliances and a washing machine, dining table, couch (not a comfortable one), amazing balcony, a nice bedroom and two full bathrooms. The kosher food was delicious and plentiful. We got fresh omelets in the morning from Chef Yaakov and made sandwiches for later. Dinner was 35 Euro per person and was a huge buffet with at least 3 proteins, sides and a salad bar. There was even a bowl of fruit and a yummy cake and donuts (for Chanuka). Small random grievances - there is a pipe in the shower that gets scalding hot when the shower is on; don't touch it or you'll burn yourself! I didn't find the couch or the bed especially comfortable, though I did appreciate the extra pillows. Neither of the bathroom doors have locks on them. Despite the festive Christmas display that the Capital Coast Hotel (host hotel) put out, the lobby has a very tired look. Fun bonus: during one of our dinners in the kosher dining room, there was a group of interactive dancers who put on a fun show. I recommend this hotel! I hope to return soon.
Bee Hostel Paphos

The experience in this hostel was horrible. It was dirty, it is very unsafe since at night they are allowed to have parties with people drinking, both from the hostel and guests of the clients. They partied until 3 or 4 in the morning without letting people sleep, there was no one to complain during the night. Obviously, in the morning we got up and everything was full of the remains of the party, drinks, dirty glasses... We complained to the hostel management, which has made us dizzy to this day, since they told us that we were leaving to return the money for the two nights we spent there and we have not received any response or compensation from her. I don't recommend it at all.
Hilltop Gardens Hotel Apartments

We stay at this small friendly Apartments complex when we visit relatives in Cyprus. Arriving late night this time the night desk put us ground floor which on request in the morning Andrea the owner moved to an upper room without any bother. The apartments are fairly basic but clean and they have everything that you need to self cater. It has a nice pool and reception area but best of all this complex is in a very nice quiet residential area on the edge of town and is only a 5 minute walk from Lidl (self catering!) We really like the relaxing vibe of this place. Andrea and her team of people are all very welcoming. The bus service in Paphos is clean cheap and very regular. You can catch it on the main road probably 15 minutes to the town and 25 to Coral Bay in the opposite direction. It’s not a 5* hotel….it’s not pretending to be one. But if you want a nice place to just chill in the sun for a week then we think it represents good value for money. We go Jet2 and they have been using this complex for a good few years so they must be confident in what it has to offer.
