Norn Talay Surin Beach Phuket

I had a wonderful stay at Norn Talay Surin Beach Phuket and was very pleased with my choice. The hotel's main advantage is its location. It's right on the beautiful Surin Beach, with direct access to the sea from the hotel. Waking up every morning to an ocean view was an absolute delight. The room offers magnificent sea and beach views that you can admire endlessly. I particularly enjoyed the rooftop pool. It offers stunning panoramic views of the coast and incredibly beautiful sunsets. It's one of the best spots in the hotel for relaxing and taking photos. The hotel has a small fitness room, which is convenient for those who want to stay in shape during their vacation. The room was cleaned daily, and it was always spotless and comfortable. It's worth noting that the hotel is a bit secluded from shops and cafes. However, there's a small market near the beach where you can buy fruits, drinks, and snacks. If you're looking for a peaceful seaside getaway, beautiful views, and the chance to enjoy sunsets every evening, Norn Talay Surin Beach Phuket would be an excellent choice. I would happily return here again!

There are some minor drawbacks to the hotel, but they are all compensated by its magnificent location! It's not even beachfront; the sea is right under the balcony! The staff is pleasant, they offer bike rentals, and the nearby cafe serves delicious food quickly. A very pleasant hotel!

March 5, 2026 **Ambiance:** The view is absolutely stunning, and it's just a few steps/a short path down to Surin Beach (I personally checked, and the stairs are very safe, not steep as some reviews mentioned). If you're booking a lazy tour to Similan Islands, the driver can pick you up downstairs at 8 AM. The nearest 7-Eleven is about 500 meters away, and there's a fantastic and affordable street food stall right next to it. The hotel guests are mostly Caucasians, with only a few Asians. **Facilities:** We stayed on the 4th floor. The room facilities aren't outstanding, but perfectly acceptable; at least my room wasn't as old as some reviews claimed. There are two pools. The one on the 5th floor is a public infinity pool with a great view, but it's quite small and not suitable for swimming. On the 3rd floor, there are rooms with private pools that are probably around 25 meters long – great for those who want to swim. The door uses an old-fashioned key lock; you need to press the deadbolt button inside before closing the door when leaving. The hot water pressure isn't great, but given that Phuket is hot, it's manageable. I highly recommend this place for anyone who values a beautiful view; the sunset here is absolutely gorgeous.

The location is gorgeous, the views are super. Yes, the hotel is a bit old, but the conditions are acceptable. People with bad knees or young children should be a little more careful when going down to the beach. But this is the only hotel with one-minute access to the beach. The breakfasts are good; you'll find everything you need – proteins, fats, and carbs. If you don't like the breakfast area, you can easily ask for a tray and have breakfast on the rooftop. There's a 24-hour stand with drinks (coffee, chocolate, Thai tea, juices, water). Housekeeping cleaned every day. Any issues that came up were resolved within 5-10 minutes. We walked to the evening shops and cafes, both via the beach and along the road. Overall, the impressions are positive.

Good value for money. The rooms are clean and spacious. But the best thing about this hotel is the view, it's stunning. From the hotel's rooftop, there's a panoramic view of the sea and the beach. There's no infrastructure near the hotel, but whether that's a downside is subjective :)

We booked one room, but were soon moved to a second one. This was because the first room suddenly had a huge number of ants right next to our clothes – simply swarms of them (we didn't have food nearby, nor had we bought any fruit). Also, the water stream from the sink was very thin, the jacuzzi was rusty, and the water coming out of it was dirty – the same issues were present in the second room. The kettle was dirty (brown stains inside, looked disgusting – also present in the second room). We were told our room would be cleaned, but we returned half a day later to find it in the exact same condition. We were moved to an adjacent room. As I was unpacking, I saw a lizard nearby. The tropical shower only gave about 30% of its full water flow. There's no ladder in the pool to get out; you just have to lift your leg and try to climb out, which is very uncomfortable and scrapes your legs (for both men and women). The beds were two single beds pushed together, and the mattresses were also mismatched singles. We paid 25,500 rubles for three nights for this horror. I do not recommend it.

This hotel is perfect for beautiful photos – the rooftop pool offers views like an observation deck. The rooms are small, and breakfast is nothing fancy. It's almost a kilometer to the nearest shops and cafes. It's a solid 3.5-star hotel, honestly.
