**Ambiance:** The view is absolutely stunning, and it's just a few steps/a short path down to Surin Beach (I personally checked, and the stairs are very safe, not steep as some reviews mentioned). If you're booking a lazy tour to Similan Islands, the driver can pick you up downstairs at 8 AM. The nearest 7-Eleven is about 500 meters away, and there's a fantastic and affordable street food stall right next to it. The hotel guests are mostly Caucasians, with only a few Asians.
**Facilities:** We stayed on the 4th floor. The room facilities aren't outstanding, but perfectly acceptable; at least my room wasn't as old as some reviews claimed. There are two pools. The one on the 5th floor is a public infinity pool with a great view, but it's quite small and not suitable for swimming. On the 3rd floor, there are rooms with private pools that are probably around 25 meters long – great for those who want to swim. The door uses an old-fashioned key lock; you need to press the deadbolt button inside before closing the door when leaving. The hot water pressure isn't great, but given that Phuket is hot, it's manageable.
I highly recommend this place for anyone who values a beautiful view; the sunset here is absolutely gorgeous.
