"Honestly, I have no idea how this place got so many good reviews. I booked a 6-day stay based on them, and on the very first night, the noise level hit 60 decibels – it was impossible to sleep. The reviews said there would be Chinese-speaking staff, but in reality, communication was impossible, and even translation apps weren't accurate. The front desk eventually moved me to a different room, but it was just as bad. The next morning, I contacted Trip.com and the hotel to request a refund for the remaining 5 nights. The front desk agreed at the time, but after I checked out, Trip.com told me the hotel wouldn't process the refund. It wasn't until I threatened to call the police that Trip.com said they'd only refund 4 nights, deducting one night's fee. I really feel ripped off. Seriously, folks, don't fall for this trap. I have decibel meter readings and audio/video recordings if anyone wants to see them."

"We initially booked a 1 night stay at The Oceanic Sportel on a whim after visiting Kata Beach to explore another side of Phuket, but it was so comfortable that we ended up extending it for a second night! Everything about the hotel itself was outstanding. Rooms & Facilities: The lobby is modern and stylish, and the rooms are large, high tech, and exceptionally comfortable and cozy. Service & Staff: The staff was incredibly helpful, friendly, and spoke fluent English, making communication and extending our stay effortless. Family Atmosphere: Truly family friendly with a wonderful environment for kids. The only minor point to note is that there isn't much within walking distance directly around the hotel. If you want to explore other parts of Phuket, you will need to rely on Grab or a taxi whenever you head out. Overall, an absolute gem of a hotel. Highly recommended!"

"This is a very standard resort, nestled on a hillside near Karon Beach (a few hundred meters direct distance, with a shuttle service to the beach). The environment is serene and pleasant, with a full range of facilities, making it perfect for a relaxing getaway. The hotel property is large and situated on a hill, so dedicated staff are available to help with luggage from check-in to check-out, which is very convenient. A special shout-out: The hotel anticipates guests' needs. We changed room types during our stay, and the hotel, when possible, had the new room prepared in advance and arranged staff to assist with a seamless transition, without any unnecessary waiting or repetitive check-in/out at the front desk. This was incredibly thoughtful. P.S. The breakfast selection is diverse; I highly recommend the omelet from the egg station – definitely give it a try!"

"Trip.com, seriously, how can you charge over 400 for a room like this and call it 4-star? The hotel is located on the edge of what looks like a slum. There's basically no ambiance to speak of, and no elevator! I had to haul two 40-pound suitcases up to the third floor. No breakfast either. I thought it looked decent from the photos, but when I walked into the room with my child, I was completely shocked. It's straight out of a Chinese village guesthouse from the 90s. The sheets were damp, and the hotel photos are drastically different from what's advertised on Trip.com."

The shower head could have more water pressure and if you are staying here, see if you can get the rooms facing the other side as facing the road was quite noisy and you can hear partying and music until around 2am+. One thing that stood out to me was the towel carrots they left on the bed. Some improvements I suggest is to switch out both the toilet and main door. The main door is a physical key lock and you need to press the button behind to lock and then close the door outside. And the bathroom door is also not meant to be waterproof. The staff are friendly and the view at their pool and cafe area is not bad. Can see the big mall, Jungceylon."

"The hotel's location is quiet, and there's a money exchange nearby with the best rates in Phuket, along with plenty of cheap massage places (oil massages are only 150 baht). It's also just about a 10-minute walk to Bangla Road. The hotel pool is very large, and the room amenities are sufficient. The shower's water temperature and pressure were satisfactory. The only minor issues were that shower water would sometimes leak onto the floor along the bathtub, you had to hold down the lever for the toilet to flush completely, and they provided flip-flops instead of slippers. Breakfast offered a different main dish every day and had a good variety overall."
