ChongchongmashiyiPerhaps my expectations weren't high to begin with, so I was pleasantly surprised after checking in. You can easily walk to Jungceylon, see Muay Thai fights, and watch the Simon Cabaret show. The beach is very close, and the hotel wasn't very busy, nor was it as noisy as some other reviews suggested. There's a 7-Eleven right outside, though they're a bit slow restocking. The hotel breakfast is just okay; no need to pay for it when 7-Eleven has everything you need. The room even has a dryer, which was super handy for quickly drying my child's swimwear. The staff were all very friendly and greeted us proactively, though hardly any of them spoke Chinese. Overall, I'm very satisfied and would recommend this place.

I had a fantastic experience at this hotel. From the moment I arrived, the staff impressed me with their exceptional attention to detail—they were friendly, thoughtful, and always one step ahead in making sure guests felt comfortable.
The room was spotless, spacious, and beautifully designed, offering a great balance of comfort and functionality. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and everything from the linens to the bathroom amenities felt premium.
The hotel’s facilities are top-notch—modern, well-maintained, and clearly cared for. I especially enjoyed the game room, which was a fun and unexpected bonus. It’s perfect for relaxing or spending time with friends and family.
Overall, this hotel exceeded my expectations. I’d highly recommend it to anyone looking for a clean, modern place to stay with excellent service and thoughtful amenities.

KLorraineOverall, it was a very good stay. Orn was nice and accommodating and even helped move me to a higher floor the next day. Berna from the restaurant was also friendly and took the time to chat, which was really nice.
The room was refreshed while I was out during the day, which was great, but it would’ve been helpful to be informed beforehand since my personal belongings were left around.
Just a small note — the bathrobe wasn’t set up initially, and only two pillows were provided for a room meant for two guests, so I had to request extra pillows.

JaniceTanMoved from Old Town to Patong. My experience in Old Town was superb, enjoyable and relaxing. As we were approaching Gig Hotel, my spirit took a deep plunge from excitement to anticlimax ! thought I had found a gem hotel after reading all the positive highly rated reviews. It was a total disaster and the start of my nightmares! The streets were lined with sleazy massage parlours and Muslim eateries. I thought I was in Middle East. It’s impossible to find authentic Thai cuisine in that vicinity, let alone any restaurant serving pork. Breakfast in hotel has no pork too. Receptionist gave wrong info of breakfast venue. Told us it’s at the rooftop but it’s actually on the first floor. Breakfast was always crowded and food not replenished after 10 am. 2 coffee machines but long line of queue as it takes forever to dispense a cup of coffee/drink. No informing prior to breakfast closure. Staff just started clearing everything abruptly. The chairs are another nuisance, so heavy that tends to hit the chair behind every time you get up. The whole tables and chairs setting was almost back-to-back, very tight and uncomfortable. The so called infinity pool was rather small and always packed as guests from Gu Hotel (located just opposite and under the same management) share hotel amenities. The gym was so pathetic with only a couple of equipment.
Next, the room was oddly designed and poorly furnished. There’s nothing luxury about the room. In fact, it felt cheap, poorly designed with much wasted space. Apart from being spacious and having full amenities, everything else was mediocre. Same or 1 type of homogeneous tile for the whole room, including toilet and wet/shower areas so possibility of slipping hazards. The wardrobe and toilet share the same door and the track wasn’t smooth. Have to exert bull strength to open and close. In the end, we just left the door half opened. Too tedious to open and close. The main entrance door was also faulty. We had to push it real hard to level and lock it. No coffee table between the TV and sofa and no luggage stand. No view from balcony - faces the facade of the other rooms. Moreover it’s too hot to sit at the balcony with the air-con compressor running. Poor soundproofing, we got awakened by noisy housekeeping staff outside our room every morning!
Good luck to those with big and heavy luggage. No porter at sight when we arrived and the only way to the reception is either a flight of stairs or a very steep ramp. The potter appeared after we processed our check-in and offered to help us with our luggage which we declined. Why should we tip him after lugging the flight of stairs? Checkout is strictly at 12 noon. For late checkout, additional charge applies.
.We couldn’t wait to end our stay at Gig Hotel. How could this hotel be awarded 4*? The only plus point is, it’s near Jungceylon.

Guest UserOverall, it was impeccable – a fantastic hotel. The location was also good, and the pool was incredibly beautiful; my wife took tons of amazing photos there! The staff, especially Lid, and the front desk were excellent. They were very enthusiastic in answering our questions and even brought things to our room. I gave them panda keychains, and they were all thrilled to recognize them as 'panda.' A note for Chinese friends: make sure they don't assign you to Building 2 or 3. Your room card should start with '10xx' or '11xx' (for Building 1), otherwise, it's a very long walk from Buildings 2 or 3. We reported this to the front desk the next day, and they moved us to Building One, which was much more convenient.
To rent a motorbike, turn right out of the hotel. There's a shop on your front right, and the guy there is great! I highly recommend renting from him; no scams or hidden tricks. I rented for 200 THB a day, and when I extended it for an extra day and only had 160 THB in change upon return, he just said 'it's okay.' I was really touched, perhaps because I had filled up the tank for him. Regarding gas, 50 THB worth of gas is probably enough for two days of use. I got it with three bars of fuel, and when I returned it with one bar left, I filled it up. I don't know why, but 100 THB completely filled the tank. Be careful when renting a scooter. I rode motorbikes all over Phuket – Patong, Karon, Kata, cliff sunsets, etc. – and never got caught. But in Bangkok, I got caught and had to contribute 1000 THB to the Thai treasury!

This time in Phuket, I chose the quiet and less crowded Surin Beach 🌅, which boasts beautiful sunsets. It's also closer to the airport without being noisy.
The hotel facilities are quite good. There's a huge interconnected pool area, complete with a two-story spiral waterslide 🛝. I was a bit hesitant to try it at first 👙, but I gave it a go and it was pretty fun! 🥳
They also have plenty of activities for both adults and kids. I even joined a water aerobics class, which was great – perfect after a day of lounging! 😆
As for breakfast, it looked like there was a good variety, but when I actually tried to pick things, there wasn't a whole lot that stood out.
Check-in took quite a while initially, and they even gave me the wrong room.
However, when a family member accidentally scraped themselves at the pool the next day, the staff's attitude in handling the injury was very good.

ZhugexiaonanThe hotel is located on an island and requires a speedboat transfer. First, about the hotel: it's great, and the staff are very friendly. I talked to the front desk about the mattress being too soft, and they immediately brought a brand new, firmer one. The service was excellent, and the breakfast was abundant. Now, about the speedboat: it was a bit uncomfortable. They kept cramming more people in even though there wasn't enough space. While splitting into two boats might increase costs, the experience for guests on a single overcrowded boat was really bad. I hope they improve that. Finally, I just want to say that Koh Racha is truly beautiful, and you really should stay for a night.

Spectacular views of the sea from the rooms make this resort a winner for feelings of peace and solitude. My room included a ceiling fan and a separate rain shower next to the bath tub. A massive free breakfast buffet starts the day for most guests, with changing options on a daily basis. Before breakfast I walked down the steep driveway to the private beach to swim either in the sea or the small pool next to it. At 7 am there is nobody around. One morning I took out a kayak (one hour free) which had stunning panoramic views. There are two swimming pools by the resort’s main building and both are delightful for swimming and relaxing.
Nothing much to do in the evening and the TV channel selection could be expanded with movie channels (e.g., HBO, Cinemax), educational channels like Discovery Asia, and nature channels like BBC Earth and Love Nature. I partook in a 90 minute herbal pack massage which was a bit pricy but very professional. Both lunch and dinner menus have sufficient variety of dishes and food quality was good. Staff were always helpful. In summary, Supalai Scenic Bay Resort is a wonderfully serene experience at a very reasonable room price.

The hotel is nice, secluded: there’s nothing much around it, which can be a good or a bad thing.
I loved the private sandy beach, now it’s high season, and yet there were maximum 10 people at a time. So it feels all for yourself.
I got upgraded and stayed in a little house with private pool and exit to the beach. Thanks for that.
BUT there were 3 things I didn’t like:
1. noise, I don’t know, probably air conditioning or pool cleaning machine of A NEIGHBOR HOUSE, not even mine. In my room the AC and the fridge were also loud, but I turned them off. Yet I could not turn off the neighbor’s ones. At night it was hard to sleep because of that sound.
2. the pool cleaning — mine didn’t have that. The water there is still , was not changes next day, and I am not sure if was changed before I arrived 🤷♀️ In the neighbor pool I can see the water is always floats and changes, in mine not.
3. Every time I bought something and wanted to pay with my card, I had to go to reception. Every meal, every cocktail. That was disturbing. It was my last day of my holiday and I was short on cash. I thought it wouldn’t be a problem to pay by card, I could do it. But every time I had to climb 7 staircases to do it.
