Carriage House Country Club

It was my husband's 50th Birthday and we went as a family to have an intimate setting The Carriage House exceeded my expectations. The amenities were great, we rode bikes, played basketball, and used the pool and hot tub. The rooms were a bit dated but clean.

Our stay at The Carriage House was great, and we enjoyed exploring the area, relaxing on the balcony, playing games in the poolroom, and having a quiet time of reading and resting. Granted, the facilities were outdated, but clean. We enjoyed the quietness even more because there were few other residents there. The leaves were mostly finished with the seasonal change, but they were still quite attractive. The kitchen was dated but well-stocked with pans, glasses, cups, silverware, etc. There was not only a small fridge, but also a full-sized one, and surprisingly, there was a working dishwasher! The hot-tub in the bathroom was an added bonus and the shower was roomy. All in all, the accommodations were just what we needed. Thanks for providing us a great R&R place for us. The building was nicely decorated for Fall and Halloween, and events were scheduled for the weekend. There was a huge pool with a jacuzzi and hot tube and other games, and there was an arcade room, although some games were not operational at the time. At one time, I believe this was an absolutely wonderful hotel, and could be again with a few million dollars investments, but it was perfect for us.

The Carriage House was the perfect base for our exploration of Pennsylvania in the spring. We travelled to Philly, Williamsport, Gettysburg, Lancaster, and Ephrata, and enjoyed the countryside and the history. We also enjoyed the resort facilities, particularly the pool, and the setting -- in the country but close to urban amenities.

No 2 bedroom units and only 6 rooms with a balcony and with extra cost. Dull and dreary with insufficient lighting probably to try and save electric costs.Two queen beds crammed into the bedroom so no night stands on either end. Very limited counter space in the kitchen. Worn out sleep sofa On the good side, very nice indoor pool area.

Out family go to Poconos often and Carriage House is out go to resort for the location close to the ******, East Stroudburg and area small towns. The resort is an older property. My unit is a one bedroom with full kitchen. It sleep up to four with the sofa bed in the living area. The best thing is the indoor swimming pool complex with hot tubs that opens 24/7. Another great thing is the Sunday BBQ with hot dogs, burgers, grilled chicken, salad, fruits and drinks all included. Love the Carriage House!

My husband and I went for a weeks vacation to this resort. They interior needs some work and the elevator needs work as well! It is really slow and jumpy! Don’t get me wrong, we were really glad that there was an elevator at all, it just needs some love!

It's a nice place if a bit old and the furniture is outdated and not very comfortable. Nice clean rooms. Kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed. New furniture would make the place great..

I like the pool area however I didn’t like that the playground was dirty. I don’t like that guests are asked to dispose of their garbage. Found that to be weird . This place is definitely for people who are looking to relax and catch up on sleep, surroundings are peaceful. Place is very antique . Blanket was not very clean .

Who goes on vacation to get bitten up by bed bugs or some type of bug, my body had bites where I left Wednesday to go to my doctor. My glucose shot up over 300 and after the bites its back to 121. I had planned a vacation before I had surgery and chosen the carriage house since it was available what a mistake. Laura the manager never got back to me, she was in a meeting and never gotten back to me now it's over 3 days. the staff was helpful when the first studio was not in good standards it had bugs in the handle of the refridgerator crawling around I have pictures and took to them. they did upgrade me to a suite and that's where I GOT bitten up by some type of bug and left Wednesday to go to my doctor in which my glucose spiked up to over 300 and when I had gone back in three days it was back to 121. and as I said I had talked to Laura it took a while she was not avaiable she had some type of emergency . and so far after 3 days of being in a meeting I guess that she's still in the meeting for I had no respond from her.
