The service is very good. It is in the city center. There are very good restaurants within ten minutes. The lobby smells fresh and nice. The only drawback is that the room is relatively small, but the facilities are complete. The hair dryer has different heads. The details are perfect.

This hotel is in the perfect location for Porto with everything in the city within a 10 minute walk away. The inside of the hotel feels very relaxed and updated, and the reception staff are very helpful should you have any questions!
We always stay at NH collection hotels around the world and this was one of the best ones we have stayed at.
Hotel breakfast in general, the most basic bread, ham, fruit. Boiled eggs are iced. Asked if the hotel can accommodate an extra bed, specially set up a bed for the child, and the breakfast for children is free. Hotel location is average, but in Uber, you can go to the main attraction for five or six euros.
The food in the hotel's bar is very good. The room is not very big, but the view and overall facilities are okay. It is between 4 and 5 stars. The only problem was that they forgot to clean our room, even though we didn't go out in the afternoon, they still forgot after reminding the hotel that it could be cleaned. Breakfast is relatively excellent. You cannot hail a taxi at the hotel entrance, but you can walk 2 minutes to the alley entrance to hail a taxi.
We arrived earlier for check in, and yes it's all in a rules about time of check in, but it was actually a line of people trying to do same, and hotel was not looking fully booked. We had to wait some time, and once they started to check in, it of course took time, because there were quite a lot of people. Rooms are clean, stuff is quite helpful, they helped us to figure out that fancy system of air-conditioning - which was actually feeling quite cold. So in general, except earlier check in and line for check in- all went pretty smooth.
We checked in, there was no wait, and the staff were friendly and knowledgeable. It was a great touch that the staff member offered to show us a map of Porto and the key things he would recommend doing in the city.
I can’t stress enough just what an excellent location this hotel is in, no public transport is required. All the key sights are within a short walking distance. It is also very walkable from the train station.
The room was great, with adequate lighting, a huge TV and some excellent shower products. The bed was relatively firm and comfortable.
We enjoyed breakfast for the 3 nights. There had been a miscommunication about the price of this, however, the hotel manager was very helpful in rectifying this via email communication after the stay.
The young female staff member we engaged with for breakfast each morning was also very friendly, warm yet professional.
As IHG Platinum members we decided to try this Hilton property and were not disappointed. It was excellent from start to finish and the prompt reply and rectification from the hotel manager is testament to the care, detail and excellent management of this property. I highly recommend this hotel for your stay in Porto.
The location is excellent, and the subway station and bus station are within walking distance.
The room is spacious, bright and clean, with a unique design style, quiet in the bustling city, and within walking distance to the attractions. There is a restaurant next to the hotel, which is very convenient. The breakfast is very diverse and rich. The price is good value for money and the service is very good.

GGuest UserNo words.... Has been a trip INSIDE a subway construction area .... And I am not kidding unfortunately. I have reserved a single room kind bed. At beginning the reception assigned me one room at 4th floor exactly in front of jackhammer operators, which made the same noises as in war scenario with 2 beds.
Then after my immediate big complain reception have assigned me another room, #209. Different scenario : that was in front of a concrete grinding crane arrives from 8pm in the morning until 10pm in the evening. at 7am the noises of the vehicles began with the relative movement alarm and in the evening after 10pm the workers who hammer gradually finished at 1am in the night. all i have timed videos to prove my experience. I asked several times to assign me a room ON OTHER SIDE (that are outside the ”war operation area”) but answer was always _ ”SORRY SIR, THE ROOM ON BACKSIDE ARE FULL AND WE DO NOT HAVE SPACE AVAILABLE” .
Today at check out I have asked a discount, as feedback the receptionist charged me 20EUR more for 2 peer juices I have got from minibar......
I do not know how to describe this experience, I have been many times in Intercontinental and I have been always satisfied.... BESIDE THIS LAST TRIP THAT IS REALLY SOMETHING I WANT TO FORGET
Travellers' take extreme care going there !! At least until the subway works under room balcony are finished !!! Can not upload pictures the website tell me ”unable to lad” but I can sent ll of them separately
GGuest UserLast year I had the most wonderful stay at Menina Colina, and was excited to return. Unfortunately I now wish I had reserved elsewhere, as it has been nothing but a disappointment.
Prices are so much higher than a year ago, but I thought I got what was a good deal on the garden room. Turns out it is greatly overpriced for what is offered, as it has none of the exquisite design or attention to detail that the interior rooms have. It also seems to be neglected in terms of maintenance. The coffee machine was leaking, and after reporting it, it was made out to be my fault as I was using it incorrectly. I had to physically show a member of staff the leaked water for them to agree to replace it. I was really annoyed that they felt that they needed to demonstrate to me how it works rather than just replacing it immediately.
The next disappointment was that the room was initially not serviced at all, and no explanation was given. When you are paying $165 for a mediocre room (not even including breakfast), one would at the very least expect the bins to be emptied.
The bathroom also had a terrible smell that permeated the room, and mosquitoes were a problem too.
Management did offer me lunch or attendance of their fado show, but none of these arrangements fitted into my busy programme. I thought a small financial compensation would have made more sense. That did not happen, and nothing further was mentioned or discussed on check-out.
The final issue was the online check-out which they require. When I tried to complete it, my bill was for my entire stay, although 3 of the 4 nights had already been paid months in advance. So my conclusion is unfortunately that Menina Colina’s standards have dropped significantly, and that it is overpriced for the lack of attention to detail that is evident in several areas.
PPingshuixiangfengThe most comfortable hotel I stayed in during this trip to Europe. Not only is the room large, the hygiene and facilities are very good👍, but the location is also very good, and most attractions can be reached on foot.
GGuest UserOur family reserved 3 rooms and arrived on a very early flight . Jose was kind enough to get 1 of our rooms ready within an hour so we could at least wash up, rest for a bit, and refresh before going out for the day. He continued to take care of us throughout our stay with anything we needed, while being extremely kind and personal. He is an excellent representative of the quality and care the hotel offers. We also liked the ambiance of the hotel. It was nicely lit and decorated in a fun, eclectic, and relaxing fashion. Our room rate included the breakfast which was an amazing spread with much variety, highly recommend. Location was central, easy walking distance everywhere. Small disappoin**ent was lack of gym. I know we walk around alot but it would’ve nice to have the option as my husband and son like to exercise quite a bit. In addition, the TV lounge room which can be nice for teenagers/kids to use while waiting for our rooms to be ready was rather plain in terms of interior design, just gray concrete walls, as opposed to the interesting and colorful designs of the rest of the hotel. This is just an observation, I would definitely recommend this hotel and would come back again.
DDMerylLoved staying at this hotel. Upon arrival staff was enthusiastic to greet us and give essential information to enjoy our stay in Porto. We were recommended to a restaurant called O Fado which was local cuisine with traditional local music,Fado Rooftop views of bridge and river. Charming area. Tram is accessible right outside. Great breakfast.
AAnonymous UserLocation was good. HOWEVER,
An incident happened during my stay and I felt the incident management and service recovery process was bad. Some pipe in my room burst at around 10pm and a few of my clothes and brand new duffel bag was soiled. I went to the reception to explain the situation immediately. The staff couldn’t move me to a new room as they were fully booked. Was told that I had to wait till the next day when the manager report for work to talk about the matter. They offered free breakfast which I rejected as I was not interested. Did not offer any laundry services regarding my affected clothing and bag and I was expected to wash it on my own?
The next day around 430pm, I went to the reception counter to speak to the manager and was told to wait for awhile (not sure for what?). Waited for ~10 minutes and asked what was I waiting for, and was told to wait further and she will speak to us. Shortly after, she explained the situation and offered a free breakfast again which I rejected.
I informed her that the stains on my brand new and unused bag were still visible. She then mentioned that I could bring my bag for dry cleaning and they will compensate me if I showed them the receipt. Felt that they should be the one to bring my bag to the dry cleaning services and bring it back to me instead of getting me to go on my own as I’m supposed to be a guest exploring the city while I’m here for vacation? And it was due to the pipe issues which they should have been responsible for? Anyway, I explained that I was going to leave the city the next night and queried if the dry cleaning services would be completed by then to which I understand this is something none of us can guarantee. Hence this option wasn’t that feasible. With that, she offered to refund me for one night stay which I agreed.
Thereafter I asked her to locate the nearest dry cleaning services for me and she provided me the address of a self service laundry services near the hotel. I went to wash and dry the bag and went back with the receipts to ask for the compensation but was informed that it is an “either or”option. She said that since I have already accepted the one night refund, I have to pay for the cleaning services myself. I was too tired to argue and my mood was already ruined by the entire incident.
Felt so dissatisfied with the entire service recovery process.
GGuest UserA decent hotel but was disappointed that on arrival I paid an additional 30 Euros for a room with a balcony, its a pity I was informed that they expected it to rain for the whole duration of my stay, I unfortunately couldnt use the balcony at any point due to it being wet all he time, what a waste of money!!!!!
RRomstarJust far enough from the busy crowded spots to feel peaceful, yet close enough to walk and or catch many different forms of transport.
We booked planning to use the Sauna and Spa after a busy days sight seeing. Unfortunately they had time Limits that didnt allow such comfort, but that just made us do more in gorgeous Porto itself. The garden are well kept, a lovely, and not so small, green space to sit and enjoy the sunshine.
Ana checked us in, she was wonderfully fun and full of so much helpful Information!! She gave us a fantastic, if not a little too ambitious itinerary for our short visit. And not one piece of advice Was wrong! Thankyou!!
The apartments are nice, they have a warm grounding vibe. Everything Was comfortable except our bed, but that is always relative to who's sleeping in it.
Well equipped for short stays, extra kitchen Equipment was available on request. But theres too many delicious options practically on your doorstep. We barely Even had coffee in our room.
I would gladly return and stay at Apartments Oporto Anselmo again. And recommend
XXINYINGHotel location is on the riverside, not far from some famous attractions, the booking is very smooth in Ctrip, the hotel front desk service staff is very good, the hotel facilities are also good, the bathroom is very clean and very large, that is, the bedroom area is a bit small, Room WiFi speed is too slow
EEmilyI recently spent four nights at Aparthotel Oporto Sol, and while my stay was overall okay, it came with a few drawbacks.
First, the location is a bit outside the main area of Porto, which required some extra effort to get into the heart of the city. While the surroundings were quiet and less crowded, I did find myself relying on public transport or taxis more than I would have liked.
One of the main issues was the absence of air conditioning in the bedroom. During my stay, the temperatures were warm, and it made things uncomfortable at night. Opening the windows was not an option due to the presence of mosquitoes outside, which meant I struggled to find a comfortable sleeping temperature.
On the positive side, the apartment itself was spacious and generally clean. The amenities were adequate for my needs, and the staff was friendly and helpful, albeit a few blocks over. I appreciated the kitchenette, which allowed me to prepare some of my own meals during my stay.
In summary, while my stay at Aparthotel Oporto Sol had its merits, the lack of air conditioning and its location outside the main area impacted my overall experience. If you're sensitive to heat or prefer to be in the city center, you may want to consider other options. Otherwise, it serves as a decent accommodation for those seeking a quieter spot.
