About two months ago, I happened to see the promotional video of the hotel's opening, and then decided to walk around in Porto and booked this hotel specially. Our room is on the top floor. The balcony offers a beautiful view of Porto. The lighting design is relatively dark in the evening, which makes people very relaxing and sleepy. The bathroom accessories are great, and the towels seem to have a slight caramel smell. Full of comfortable experience. Will choose to stay in Porto next time.

Partner and I stayed at Casa da Companhia for a week - it was one of the best hotel experiences of our lives! From check-in to the attentive breakfast service and continuing through check-out, we were thrilled by the warmth and quality of service of the staff. Recommendations for sightseeing, restaurants, and a day tour of Douro were all top-notch, and we'll be passing them onto our friends who follow us. Location is on Rue das Flores - a pedestrian-access only street. If you have significant mobility concerns, I would recommend reaching out ahead of time to the hotel to coordinate your arrival transportation. Location cannot be beat - we walked everywhere and were very happy with our access to a number of sights, restaurants, the waterfront, etc. There was a minor hiccup (no fault of the hotel) regarding another guest on our floor who was smoking in their room. The smell subsequently made its way into our room via the ventilation system. Before leaving for a dinner, we notified the front desk and they took immediate action, assessing the smell in our room. Upon our return that evening, they offered to place us in another room overnight, if the smoke smell persisted. When we returned to our room, the smell had dissipated and we declined the extra room - but we greatly appreciated their responsiveness and offer of alternative accommodations. The rooms are spacious, clean, and well-appointed. I enjoyed the dry sauna and indoor pool on a rainy day and found both to be very well-maintained. We'll be recommending this hotel to our friends and family and are looking forward to returning to Porto and Casa da Companhia.

No words.... Has been a trip INSIDE a subway construction area .... And I am not kidding unfortunately. I have reserved a single room kind bed. At beginning the reception assigned me one room at 4th floor exactly in front of jackhammer operators, which made the same noises as in war scenario with 2 beds. Then after my immediate big complain reception have assigned me another room, #209. Different scenario : that was in front of a concrete grinding crane arrives from 8pm in the morning until 10pm in the evening. at 7am the noises of the vehicles began with the relative movement alarm and in the evening after 10pm the workers who hammer gradually finished at 1am in the night. all i have timed videos to prove my experience. I asked several times to assign me a room ON OTHER SIDE (that are outside the ”war operation area”) but answer was always _ ”SORRY SIR, THE ROOM ON BACKSIDE ARE FULL AND WE DO NOT HAVE SPACE AVAILABLE” . Today at check out I have asked a discount, as feedback the receptionist charged me 20EUR more for 2 peer juices I have got from minibar...... I do not know how to describe this experience, I have been many times in Intercontinental and I have been always satisfied.... BESIDE THIS LAST TRIP THAT IS REALLY SOMETHING I WANT TO FORGET Travellers' take extreme care going there !! At least until the subway works under room balcony are finished !!! Can not upload pictures the website tell me ”unable to lad” but I can sent ll of them separately

Loved our stay here. Charlie Chaplin room was gorgeous and unique albeit a little dark with the black painted walls and ceilings. Huge private terrace with incredible views really makes the room. The pool is lovely and fairly unique for Porto. Location is on a bit of a deserted street just off the main hilltop tourist area but we walked to and from there at night and never felt unsafe. Breakfast was excellent.

The room on the 1st floor was Spacious, clean, the air con and black out curtains worked well and the bathroom had 2 sinks, a bidet and a large shower. The staff are all very helpful, polite and friendly. The lovely roof top terrace is a great bonus after a day sightseeing, the drinks are reasonably priced e.g. 3.50 euros for a large beer and 7 for a cocktail (these are well made, not like a certain place we went too in Porto -WOW !!) you could taste the alcohol and the bar staff will bring them up to you, also a very nice addition is free nibbles later in the afternoon. All round great hotel.

Stayed 4 nights upon arriving in Porto. For a 3 star hotel the property is very clean and quiet. Check in was easy. Rooms are clean and offer a closet with a safe, a kettle and tea/coffee service, a small fridge that is stocked but still room to put a beer, wine bottle or water bottle in to chill. Several outlets but no usb ports. Bathroom has a bidet. Shower had good water pressure. It’s actually a tub/shower combination. Only thing missing was wash cloth. Didn’t get one in either of my Portugal hotels. The breakfast is outstanding, Starts at 7. Several options from eggs to pancakes, side dishes, so many fresh breads, cereal, fancy coffee machine, fresh juices. There is also a bar at the hotel but we didn’t visit it. Next door is a 3 store mall with a full service American size grocery store to buy water, snacks, wine etc. at very affordable prices. One block away is the Mercado Bom Success, an upscale food court. We ate dinner there twice. The hotel is in an area called Villa Nova so a 30 to 40 minute walk from the historical center. The metro is 10 to 15 minutes away, Casa de Musical stop, which will take you to the historical center in 15 minutes. I would stay here again if ever in Porto.

I stayed at the Crowne Plaza Porto for 2 nights recently as part of a work trip. The hotel is in a good location, about 10 mins drive from the airport. There are a few small shops and bars / restaurants nearby. The rooms are nice, a great size and come with all the usual amenities that you'd expect from such a hotel. I ate in the bar on each night, the food was great and very good value for money. The service provided by the 2 bartenders was also great! I'll be back again in early summer and would recommend to anyone looking for a good hotel in Porto.

This is the best hotel I ever met for this Portugual and Spain tour. The location is best, can walk to each famous tourism site within 20 minutes in the downtown center, including the Sao Bento Train station, and 5 minutes＇ walk to Douro river . Great! And also they have prepared plenty of fruits(apple, orange, banana,pear,ect.) and yougart,snacks,etc. For breakfast, including milk, bread, butter, cheese,egg, hams, very enough for us. Which is more intersting is that, there is a cloth bag, which painting with typical Portugal cock, it is just with this bag, we hang it to the doornob of our apartment at night, and next morning, when you pick it back, you will find very fresh and delicious bread in it. Bravo! Like a Xmas gift! And the hygienism of the room are also very good, All of above make us feel at home,esp at this special season. Stronly recommend this hotel. This is the best hotel we stayed in this Spanish Portugal trip. First of all, the location is excellent, you can walk to any famous sights in the city center within 20 minutes, including São Bento Train Station, and 5 minutes walk to the Douro River. The two ladies who were responsible for receiving us were very kind, kind and enthusiastic, and answered our various questions patiently. The apartment is fully equipped and has everything to meet our cooking needs, especially the hot water kettle. You know, during this trip, many Portuguese hotels do not provide hot water kettles. Drinking hot water is simply a luxury. I also prepared a lot of fruits for us, and I didn't finish eating them when I left, as well as snacks, coffee and so on. Breakfast includes milk, yogurt, bread, cheese, eggs, ham, etc. In short, it is impossible to eat all of it. What’s interesting is that the bread bag is a delicate cloth bag with a picture of Portuguese chicken. Hang it on the door handle at night. The next morning, the bag will be filled with fresh and fragrant bread. It’s great. Like a Christmas gift. The sanitation of the apartment is also very good, in short, everything makes us feel as comfortable and warm as home, especially in this special period. highly recommended!

First the obvious advantages: super location, multilingual staff, great breakfasts, and many attractions within easy reach (river excursions, restaurants, shopping, tastings, music, museums, public transportation). But the most amazing thing is the staff. Denis, Luis, Luisa (and Hugo for one day) formed the most attentive team I have ever seen. They don’t wait for you to ask for help, they offer it. Very nice apartment in the old town within walking distance of bars, restaurants, river front, train station, churches and museums. Breakfast was delivered every morning and was substantial. Cooker, microwave, coffee machine and fridge also present. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. Fantastic view over the roof tops towards the river Douro. While we were there...September...they were just putting the finishing touches to an outside pool and bathing area...unfortunately not quite ready for us to make use of.

Spent 6 nights at the hotel in June 2023. Two couples on holiday. Location is excellent - very centrally located near to the river front and all of the main attractions. Good wifi coverage in the rooms. Pleasant staff and good breakfast, although the 8:00am start time at the weekend is a bit late if you are going on a tour/trip etc. (They will do you a packed breakfast if you let them know in advance.) Rooms a bit on the small side, but to be expected for a city centre hotel. Good shower and amenities in the room - tea and coffee making facilities. Mini fridge (extremely small but still useful). Only negatives were that the pillows were way too soft - this has been mentioned by other reviewers and needs to be assessed by management. I am not very fussy, but my neck was aching every morning! Also, our room was not serviced on either of the first two days of our stay, but this was rectified and the staff were very apologetic. Would stay here again and would recommend for a short break to this lovely city.
