Secrets Tides Punta Cana - Adults Only

If you are looking for a fun, laid-back, relaxing vacation, this is a resort for you. There is no loud blasting music or parties. The staff here is very friendly and helpful. The resort itself is beautiful. The pools and the beach are beautiful. The restaurants are all very good including the buffet. The desserts are fabulous. No reservations are required except for the Japanese cooking show tables.

Secret Tides Resort & Spa was an excellent stay from arrival to departure. My husband and I were celebrating our anniversary 12th year and my his retirement. The resort is brand new and ADULT ONLY. We had an AWESOME vacation ALL the staff served us well, they were very professional, well dressed and helpful. We will return for sure.

hotel was beautiful,staff was nice but will not be returning here. pool shouldn’t close at 6 especially where there isn’t anything else to do on the property. food was prepared beautifully wherever we went but quality wasn’t good.. wish we got to experience better food.. should of just gotten preferred if we knew we would be able to try lunch at the other restaurants… i had to eat lunch from the beach where they cooked burgers and fries

This new beautiful adults only all inclusive has the feel of a small boutique hotel with lots of spots to get away from it all - or join in on the fun with new friends. The food in all the restaurants is some of the best I have ever eaten in the Dominican Republic. My butler Anthony went above and beyond to assist us with anything we needed. He was a pleasure to talk to and is very eager to please his clients. I will be requesting Anthony as a butler for my future clients at this property. Relationships are important - and this one will be a connection for the future for sure. Our housekeeper was amazing- twice a day service and quick and efficient. I could fill a book with the the superior excellence of Secrets Tides and the staff, but I will add a few antidotes sum it up by saying "We have never stayed at a resort that was more pleasurable, with truly caring resort personnel. From the blades of grass to the top of the palm trees there was nothing less than perfection. I would rate one resort on par or a bit above and that resort is The Blue Lagoon in Iceland, but that was some 40 years ago that I stayed there in one of the seven rooms. Since then we have not been to any resort that could top Secrets Tides. There were several staff members I could mention here that really went way beyond all expectations in our everyday inter-actions. I will mention a few. First was our butler Jendry Acosta (alias "The Petal Man"), the Oceana staff especially Ashley and Amy, and in the Spa, Alex could do a single thing more to uphold the perfection that we experienced everywhere in Secrets Tides we went.

Beautiful architecture and property layout. During our week at Tides we had an extremely fun and relaxing time. The service was excellent in very possible way. Our Butler Jorge took care of our every need. We would highly recommend vacationing at Tides Punta Cana and we definitely will return in the future!!

The place was beautiful, the staff was great, the room was top shelf and you could not ask for better service. As you walked into any of the eating establishments, you were greeted as if they knew you for years. Our butler Andreina was fantastic, she took care us from day one to the end. Whatever we needed, she was a text away. Great trip.

We just came back after spending 5 nights at Tides. After some debate we decided not to book the preferred club and we didn’t feel like we missed out. Pros: - Room was modern, clean and honestly just beautiful. - At arrival you receive a cold towel and glass of pink champagne. Check-in was efficient. - The breakfast buffet was impressive. The selection was great, the staff blew us away (thank you Fanfan). We never needed to ask or look for a refill on a beverage (always nice to start the day with a mimosa!). We ate around 8:15am and it was quiet and the staff made it feel like you were at a sit down restaurant with how attentive they were. - Lunch choices were plentiful. We enjoyed the beach bar, a few days during our stay there was a bbq set up on the beach, we dined at Seaside Grill which was nice to get out of the sun and the service and food were great! We even ordered room service from the beach one day and it was waiting for us in the room when we got there. - Dinner we never waited long for a table. - All the staff were friendly & happy. What I thought was impressive was we were asked a few times for feedback from staff (for example the host at the buffet, the food and beverage manager). It’s a nice touch especially in the early stages of the hotel being open. - We never had to worry about getting a lounger at the beach or pool. Really nice when on vacation. The non preferred pools have the same cushion loungers that the preferred pool has (and honestly the non preferred pools were more empty which was nice). The beach non preferred area had plenty of palapas and you didn’t feel like you were squished in. - I was impressed that there were staff walking around at the pool and beach offering to take your drink order. There was never an expectation of a tip but definitely appreciated. - The beach was excellent, the staff cleared it many times during the day to get rid of the sea****. - One of our favourite experiences was dinner at Seaside Grill, if you go ask to be at a table where “SuperDuper” is serving. The man is so fast and funny and just wants to give you the best service! Areas of Improvement: - We found the drinks and food to be inconsistent. Sometimes you would get a well balanced drink (mostly at the restaurants, lobby bar and theatre bar were excellent) but other times they were either over sweet or the complete opposite and needed more mix to give it flavour (pool bar). But the staff at the pool bars were so friendly and happy! Food, the flavour at the restaurants could be upped, we also found the food at the Italian restaurant over sauced and a little disappointing overall. - Similar to other reviews we had to call the first day to ask for our room to be made up, after that housekeeping seemed on top of it. - The minibar in the room was also hit and miss. Some days it wasn’t refilled and they didn’t leave snacks. Overall, a really great trip and we would go back.
