My experience of staying at Raja Ampat dive lodge was simply fantastic: the location and the house reef are marvellous, and the lodges are very well built, facing the beach; the whole atmosphere is just lovely. Best part of this lodge are the staff!!. My appreciation goes to all from Mr. Tony, the manager to Tobias, Giuseppe, the tour guide Diego, and the pilot and assistants of the boat Hassan and Nadus. People at the restaurant and kitchen dished some tasty food (Thank you).Everyone was so friendly (very characteristic, Indonesian) and so much fun to interact with. Highly recommended

Excellent location for diving in the center of Raja Ampat, not far from Manta Sandy and Playnemo On the plus side - very nice bungalow, with AC (humidity probably at 95%, so it you want to have dry equipment or clothes, it's mandatory !) - great staff, nice and friendly -great spa -gorgeous dives (I have personnally >1600 dives worldwide) -excellent dive guide. thanks a lot Asrul for the time spend with us, you really love what you're doing. and we were also lucky !!! -good indonesian cooking -very quiet (unless near the dive center) -resort nicely done -the Sorong staff took us at the airport, and brought us to the airport, even if we spent the last night in a hotel -AC noise is ok. On the minus side : - the way meat, fish or chicken were cooked was sometimes a crime against humanity! - It seems that the speed boat is only available if the number of passagers is high enough (probably 4 to 6 ?). Other wise it's the ferry -from other guests, it seems that the buffet is significantly more expensve than à la carte -additional dives seem way more expensive than flat rate -small, few but aggressive mosquitos! -if you don't dive, probably borring place -some services or benefits are very expensive -room service only on demand -I asked for a bedside lamp to be fixed on the day I arrived : 2 weeks later, still broken. Credit Card payment took a while, but worked finally. No ATM, so if you're short on cash, the resort don't sell IDR. Would I go back ? Definitly

One of the most idyllic tropical settings I’ve ever seen. Comfortable but not luxurious rooms equipped with air conditioning and bar fridge. Commanding ocean views. Magnificent sandy beach bordering a coral lagoon with abundant marine life ie reef sharks, walking sharks, barracuda, lion fish etc. Friendly helpful staff. Excellent food at all meals. The snorkelling trips to other dive spots were breathtaking particularly Piaynemo. Highly recommend this accommodation.

12 days in Raja Ampat Islands was as close to paradise as you can get. We stayed at the Raja Ampat Dive Lodge which is trying to give the experience of resort life. The resort lacks some amenities but makes up for it with lovely and friendly people. Unfortunately, it is not a distinction for fellow divers and has very few guests. We had the resort all to ourselves, but this is where it lacks its otherwise island charm. It’s in-between budget and high-end and can’t find its place. It calls itself a dive lodge but lacks qualified staff and instructors and has very limited gear. The facilities are starting to get old and very used and should probably cater more to budget travelling. I cannot recommend that you do your diving license here because all theories have moved to the Internet and there is not a stable or fast Internet so you can take your exam. My son was through it and could not finish the open-water certificate. For a closing remark don't let the season scar you we were in Raja Ampat in June and July all days with a mirror-like ocean and visibility underwater up to 50 meters and can not recommend this part of Indonesia enough. Please visit this unique place and enjoy this and is fantastic people.

It is very difficult to get to islands in Raja Ampat area. Raja Ampat Dive Lodge made it smooth to me ... sending people to pick me up in Sorong, sending to ferry, in Waisai sending to speedy boat till I got to the place I also dreamed of seeing those scattered tiny little islands called Wayag .. although min 4pax, Lodge manager - Pak Tony managed to find a small boat for me, solo Place is very comfortable, food great without losing the feeling of being in a very remote area of the world. Pak Tony and his team treat you very well ... recommended !!!

Peaceful, nature-touch and eco friendly resort in the mid of world diving destination Raja Ampat, Indonesia. There is jetty dive spot where you can do snorkeling, see many species of fish, especially “Walking shark”!!. After diving or snorkeling, you can relax at the outdoor beach bar or local spa.

We went to dive with Raja Ampat Dive Lodge in March 2020. We did 6 days of diving (12 dives) with them. Raja Ampat has some of the best dive sites in the world and it's important to dive with someone who knows which dive sites are best to dive in at the given time and tides. All the dives was really professionally done, and our group managed to get great images diving in sites such as Sawandarek, Otdima, Cape Kri, Manta Ridge, Melissa Garden and other amazing sites. Our guide Ramli, Elfrid and Vivi was great and really organised in making sure all the safety are met and that our group would get the best out of our dives... Our experience with RADL was amazing and we cant wait to go back one day

I loved the holiday we have just had at Raja Ampat Dive Lodge. I went with 2 diving pals as a celebration of our 60th birthdays which happened in lockdown. We were so well looked after. Tony and the team ensured we had everything we needed - delicious food, cold drinks and a heavenly place to stay. We were thoroughly spoiled by all the dining room staff who were very happy to celebrate both my birthday and my 300th dive - the cakes were amazing!!! The buffet was varied every day - some more traditional Indonesian dishes with some less spicy stuff for my feeble English palate! It wasn't gourmet food, but there was a good choice and it was well presented. I was not ill at all while at the resort, while we all felt unwell after a meal out in Sorong on the way home. The staff are all so friendly and very helpful - they dont all speak English but they understand hello and all say good morning! The Wi-Fi was a little hit and miss - you had to get a code from reception each day but it didn't always work - I wouldn't rely on it for work, but it was absolutely fine for contacting home. My room in a beachfront bungalow - the opposite end of the resort to the dive centre so it was very peaceful - overlooked the beach and was absolutely beautiful. The shower room was clean and fresh, the mosquito net was handy too! The air conditioning worked really well, all the power sockets were very handy - take European adaptors. The little terrace was perfect to sit out and write up your dive log, sipping a cold drink and listening to the waves and the birds! The bar was delightful, out on the water - what a fantastic place to see the sunset! We had a couple of the delicious cocktails. It was a fun place to meet the other guests and compare notes! We had 2 massages in the spa - they were sooo relaxing I fell asleep - although that may have been jet-lag. All the resort was kept pristine, even after the storm we had one night! Truly a tropical paradise! We swam/snorkelled both off the beach(wear beach shoes!), which is very shallow at low tide, and off the jetty. We saw lots under the jetty including lionfish!! Be aware of current in the deeper water! The diving was out of this world! Considering a large number of my dives have been in a drysuit in the UK, being able to dive in a rash vest and shorts was very liberating. The boat we were assigned to - Bubara, was expertly handled by Lexi and crewman Hassan, who were so kind and knew exactly what help we needed. I loved entering the water backwards off the side of the boat - it's great fun!! Dive leaders Wayan and Dedy made sure that we saw the fantastic Manta Rays, as well as Wobbegongs, black-tipped reef sharks, sweetlips and so many other creatures I didn't know existed-such as the perfectly named flamboyant cuttlefish!! Dedy in particular was expert in finding the small stuff like the pygmy seahorse! Every dive showed us amazing fish, incredible reefs and the organisms which live there - I took so many p

Spent two weeks here, and enjoyed every minute. Tony--the relatively new manager--has your stay well organized from the moment you land in Sorong. The staff is well trained and friendly; many have a sharp sense of humor. My personal snorkeling guide (yes, you read that correctly)--Peres--has superman-like vision, and spotted creatures I could not have seen with a prescription dive mask. His excellent work reflects the Lodge's commitment to serve divers AND snorkelers equally. My cabin was clean and comfortable. Hot water, air conditioning, and bedding were fine. Food varied daily: it was well prepared, usually delicious, and plentiful. Table service outstanding. Massages were first rate and reasonably priced at $28/hour. The beachfront bar was somewhat limited in its offerings, but had enough choice to satisfy most palates. Perhaps the only "minus" was the internet. It worked well enough, but you had to sign in every hour with "coupons" freely provided by the front desk. I experienced the same system at some hotels in Egypt, and--like some of my fellow travelers--found it a bit of an annoyance. Why not just cover the common area with "always on" routers that anyone can access at any time (without having to sign in every hour)? I don't know the answer to that question. Still, the internet was good enough, and I would return to this place in a heartbeat. As a snorkeler, the lodge took me to every conceivable snorkeling site-and I saw everything from mantas to tiny nudibranches. Kudos to Tony and the entire Lodge staff. My experience there was one I will always remember. Thank you for everything you did for me. MK
