Ammos Suites

My mum and I have just returned from a wonderful, relaxing week at Ammos Suites. Having undergone a recent quality refurbishment, the hotel is absolutely beautiful with comfortable, spotless rooms and modern and stylish outdoor and bar areas. All the staff at Ammos Suites were friendly and couldn’t do enough to help you. Filio, the hotel manager runs everything so well. This hotel is an absolute gem. Central enough to enjoy everything Rethymno has to offer, but a little further away from the main town so a little more peaceful. Can’t recommend this little hotel enough for a holiday in Crete.

Just returned from a 10 day holiday at Ammo’s Suites and I knew it was going to be lovely before we went because of how many amazing reviews there are but it was even better than we expected. Everything is spotless, really modern decor, comfy beds, perfect location which is a 25 minute walk into the old town and right across the road to the beach where you get sunbeds through the hotel. All the staff are so friendly and accommodating, nothing is too much trouble - they arranged for my boyfriend to go scuba diving and it was also my birthday whilst we were there where they brought me a little birthday cake at breakfast which was a lovely surprise! As it’s a small hotel it has a really personal feel and everyone works extremely hard there. We don’t tend to go back to the same places as there is so much of the world to see but we said we will definitely be returning here as we had the most perfect holiday and would love to stay at Ammo’s Suites again! We are recommending all our friends and family visit here!!

We absolutely loved Ammos suites! the rooms are new, the bed was super comfortable, the beach was so conveniently close and the pool was amazing to chill by the evening to read a book - overall very private and safe. The best part were the people, from the management to the bar staff, they were all so friendly and approachable, surely made our stay unforgettable and memorable. We would choose this hotel again and again as we could really switch off and enjoy everything Rethymno has to offer. Thank you for an amazing experience Ammos team :) see you soon

We booked directly with Ammos Suites after weeks of researching where to stay and we weren't disappointed! The location is excellent as it's only 25-30 minutes by foot from the Old Town. The beach is also located right across the street where the hotel has beach beds. Supermarkets and stores are also nearby. The newly-renovated room is tastefully decorated and has more than enough space for two people. The staff were lovely! Top-notch service and hospitality! Thank you to Filio and her team for a truly wonderful stay. Would definitely stay again if we find ourselves back in Rethymnon!

Super Clean apar**ents, such friendly staff, great location. We loved our stay here, the large suite was just perfect for our stay, the beach literally a short hop over the road into the warm Cretan Sea, the view from the double balcony was fantastic. Fira and the team can’t do enough for you, always friendly and smiling, always happy to help with anything, they make they stay even more of a happy experience, we can’t thank you all enough! The pool area, like the entire apar**ent set up is immaculate and clean, we didn’t use the pool as it was far too cold given the time of year and the morning sun didn’t hit the pool for more than a couple of hours early in the morning, but it is a lovely area. The bar is a relaxing space, nice decor, great views over the sea, friendly staff, a good selection of drinks and snacks. Breakfast was great, pastries, fresh yoghurt, fruits, cereals, toast, omelettes, had everything you need for a good start to the day (not an English sausage in sight, perfect!) The town of Rethymno is about 1.4 miles walk along the front, the old town is a beautiful place to explore, plenty of history, architecture, and culture to been experienced here, some great eateries and bars too. A first visit to Greece and Crete, we weren’t disappointed, the cretan people are super friendly, it felt such a safe and comfortable place to be, and a world away from the storms back in the UK, 27 degrees in October was just great!! Thanks to the staff, we’d love to return one day!

I can’t speak highly enough of Ammos Suites. The accommodation is apparently rated as 3 Star, but I don’t know why. I suppose it looks relatively anonymous from the street, but the super comfortable rooms look every bit as good in reality as they do in the various photos. Add to that, a great location - metres from its own beach and just ten minutes walk from the old town - a tasty breakfast every day and the brilliant management team (apologies again for the late arrival!), and we couldn’t have asked for a more relaxing break. Highly recommended!

I would recommend this to anyone looking for a small and friendly hotel. Modern, immaculately clean right on the beach and just a short walk to numerous restaurants and a bit further to the Old Town. We stayed for 16 nights and nothing was too much trouble.

Earth colours, calm environment, comfy ambience enhanced by the friendliness and politeness of staff. Ammendities include all be needed, plus (my favorite "essential/non-essential") an espresso machine in the room! Seaside is 38 steps across the coastal road (half of which are on the sand)
