"Great place, good facilities and clean rooms.
Shout out to the ****** who wake up at 5 am stand around talking and wake everyone up and then start their noisy cars and leave to go to another hotel."
"An excellent hotel value for money. The location is by the river and the view is magnificent. The rooms are large and all essential amenities are included."
"Clean and sanitary, with a washing machine and dryer, which is great! It's just a little difficult to cook, the electric stove has little fire, and there are few cooking tools. There are several restaurants to choose from downstairs, and there is a river bank on the other side, and there is a park for children to play. It's a good choice for a walk after dinner"

"I wasn’t expecting to be hearing the constant, repeating beep of the pedestrian crossing warning signal ALL NIGHT.
Slightly under par showers but probably matches budget pricing which was appreciated."
"They sent a letter to the mail for pre-registration, so that we wouldn’t have to stand at the counter, but could immediately take the key upon arrival. It turned out that we had to register again at the reception. There was a microwave in the room description, but it wasn’t there and they couldn’t provide it to us. The parking lot is large near the hotel and is free for guests. The room itself is pretty good, everything is clean! The WiFi is weak. The staff took great care of our left thing and wrote us a letter."
"Perfect location close to bus stop and town. Kitchen fully Equipment and clean. Fridge should be checked more often tho. Pods are a bit noisy, doors and if you have one on top. Linen and towels provided, showers, bathrooms ok. Locker space for free. Would stay there again."
"As a solo traveller just spending one night in Launceston, The Star Hotel was the ideal choice. It is centrally located and street parking was easy to find and free between 17.30 and 09.00 next day. The room itself was compact but comfortable with an ensuite. The friendly, efficient female staff member was able to help with local advice and when I decided to have dinner later, the food and service were exceptional. Three see a couple of stair cases to negotiate but really no trouble. This place was a highlight of my travel in Tasmania."
"At first we can't find the reception as the address they gave us was empty. Hv to call the guy to lead us there. The house is 200% fully equipped with all the nitty gritty thing you can't imagine, even a air fryer, band aid..... Clean new n modern. Great value for the price u paid."
