The facility is new, clean and well cared for. The staff was very professional, as well as friendly with excellent customer service as their first priority The price was fair. I enjoyed the breakfast each morning with a large variety of items to eat. The swimming pool was a bonus. I would highly recommend this motel, as my experience was 5 star! I plan to return whenever I am in town. Very safe for the solo traveler. Beautiful scenery and location in Rochester Minnesota
Days Inn & Suites by Wyndham Rochester Mayo Clinic South

This hotel no longer shuttles to the Mayo Clinic, which was one of my primary reasons for staying there in the past. My room was horrifically dirty. There was a used juice pack in one of the drawers, there were nuts on my bed, there was food on the floor, there was a used coffee filter in the coffee maker and no new coffee filter available for me. Some of the towels looked used. I honestly don't think there was an attempt to clean this room other then putting new garbage bags in. I'm not totally convinced that I had new sheets. The bed was made, but I ended up sleeping in my clothes because it felt disgusting. The heater wouldn't blow warm air. I ended up just shutting it off. I got cold in the middle of the night and turned it back on, it worked then. The housing fell off the heater as well. My tv wouldn't show captioning unless it was muted. The remote wouldn't work to adjust that. I need captioning with my hearing loss, and not at the expense of sound. They no longer serve breakfast. I went down to the lobby at about 6:50 and saw about 5 breakfast bags sitting on a table by happenstance. I went back down at about 7:10 and the kitchen was still closed and no breakfast bags. There was an apple sauce, some crackers, and a water in the bags. This hotel has really gone down in the dump since last year. This would have been my 5th or 6th stay since 2019. The elevator and hallway was unclean. (dirt or mud) You can smell cigarette smoke in the building. There were cigarette butts in the stairwell. It is my understanding that this hotel has switched to more long term tenants at the cost of satisfactory cleanliness, services, and breakfast. I will not be returning here for my follow up Mayo visits. This cost me an extra $8.00 for one day of parking at mayo along with the headache of trying to find a parking spot since this hotel cancelled shuttle services.

Room was Sparkling Clean! The pillows were lumpy/hard, Mattresses Good. But being that the Minnesota weather was very warm, the vending machine (coin-op) goods were all melted and sodas warm. The air Conditioner would work, but not maintain a So I slept maybe 3-4 hours? Oh, also should mention there’s No elevator so I carried my suitcase up the steps Television was 24-in.,, The toilet wouldn’t flush.

Actually I was referred to this hotel by another that was fully occupied on the date I needed a room. That was not a bad thing. This hotel is not elegant but certainly adequate and it turned out to be a great value with clean rooms, (suites, actually), an adequate breakfast, ample parking, and convenient shuttles to the Mayo Clinic. I'll stay here again. TIP: If you are going to be seen at the Mayo Clinic, book this hotel directly, not through an on-line booking service. Ask for the Mayo discount. This can save you about $30. The number is 507-282-8091.

BEWARE!! I stayed here while my wife had major surgery at Mayo. The reviews seemed fine. To summarize, on the third night (of a week long reservation) I returned from Mayo to find that hotel staff had touched and removed all of my personal belongings, took them out of the room, and placed them behind the front desk. I was told their system showed me as a one night stay and that they attempted to contact me for clarification, but since I wasn’t able to be reached they removed my items. I showed them my phone (which showed no calls from the hotel as well as my reservation # showing I had a 7 night reservation. The manager refused to come in and address the issue that evening. They did provide me with another room and gave me an excuse of an audit that messed up all of the reservations. All of my cold items were left out all day so they were ruined. I think the grossest thing is that they had to touch all of my personal items to bag them up because obviously i had everything spread out in the room as I was set to stay for a week. Someone would have had to grab my underwear from a drawer and grab my toothbrush to put it into a bag. Those are just quick examples but imagine if someone did that to your items! The next day I again asked to speak to the manager. I was told he wasn’t available. The front desk manager then blamed ME for the mistake. I He said I should’ve made a longer reservation than one day. I went to show him my reservation email and he blew it off and said he didn’t care. never have had anything like this ever happen to me. I would caution all of who think “it can never happen to me” …. are you willing to take that chance with this hotel? There are so many other hotels near Mayo Clinic I would NEVER Recommend anyone staying here. If you have a loved one who is undergoing a procedure at Mayo the last thing you need is a hotel who touches your personal items, removes your items from your room, and then refuses to respond to you.
