"The hotel is located by the Yellow River, offering a pretty good view from the window! However, I have to complain about two things: first, the shower water was too cold, and second, the sensor light in the shower kept turning off by itself! Our family of four traveled during the Chinese New Year. My elderly mother was tired after visiting the provincial museum, so she returned to the hotel at 4 PM and said she wouldn't go out for dinner, opting to shower and rest. She was the only one who managed to get a hot shower at that time! When the other three of us returned to the hotel at 9 PM after dinner, I found the water to be lukewarm when I showered. It was a bit cold on my body, but I was already wet, so I had to just power through it. As soon as I got out, I told my husband and child that the water was very cold, and it might be due to many people using water during peak hours, suggesting they shower later. We waited and waited, but even at midnight, the water was still cold. I even called the front desk in between to report the cold water, and they replied that it was because many people were using water and advised showering later! But by 12:30 AM, my child was sleepy and couldn't wait any longer, so they took a quick cold shower. My husband just gave up on showering altogether! I really don't understand how a hotel this big can't even guarantee basic hot water for showers! And then there's the sensor light in the shower room. It would stay on for a few minutes and then turn off by itself. No matter how much you move around inside the shower, it wouldn't turn back on. You had to open the door and step outside the shower room for it to sense movement and light up again! So... I ended up taking a cold shower in the dark! What kind of crazy design is that? Who would open the door and step out in the middle of a shower just to get the light back on??!! This is the first time I've written such a long review, but overall, it was a pretty frustrating stay!"

"The double bed was set, because it was already ten o'clock in the evening, and then I packed my things and washed at 11:30. The air conditioner in the room was very hot. It was not adjusted for a long time. When I was going to bed, I found that the bed was dirty as soon as I lifted the quilt. I contacted the hotel and the reply was a bit slow. Changed to the third floor, the third floor is connected to the restaurant, at that time, I was very tired, I wanted to sleep, one of the beds was dirty, it was very late, I was sorry to trouble the front desk, I thought about sleeping for one night, but the air conditioning sound in the room was too noisy, I couldn’t sleep at all. The sound of this room was made for more than half an hour. There was no way to pull the room card behind, but it was still very noisy. The air conditioner was turned off. I didn't know what the sound was. It was very loud. In the middle of the night, I was awakened by the hot air breeze of the air conditioner. It was very strange. Before I slept, the Tmall Genie said that the air conditioner was turned off, and the point was unplugged. The air conditioner woke up in the middle of the night, and the Tmall Genie was also unplugged in the middle of the night. Then I got up in the morning to wash my face and found that the washbasin was hugely dirty. The only thing worthy of praise is that the high-speed rail station can pick up and drop off, which is very convenient for this trip. Thanks to the driver of the pick-up!"

"The location is superb – right by the metro exit, just 50 meters from Zhangye Road Commercial Street, and only a stone's throw from Zhongshan Bridge. This makes getting around incredibly easy. If you're tired from exploring, you can easily pop back to the hotel for a rest before heading out again. The cleanliness and overall environment were quite satisfactory. They even offer complimentary coffee upon check-in. Plus, Axiya Restaurant is conveniently located on the 3rd floor, and there's a food court right downstairs."

"The service was absolutely top-notch, beyond excellent. The views were also fantastic, truly nothing to complain about! Facilities: Everything was brand new. Cleanliness: Extremely clean, no strange odors. Environment: Located right by the Yellow River, the scenery was absolutely stunning. Service: Couldn't have been better, everything was very thoughtful and attentive. I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in Lanzhou, highly recommended! I rested very well, it was super quiet."

"Traveling to Lanzhou from Dunhuang, I chose this Atour hotel at Xiguan Shizi. Location: The main reason I picked this Atour was its great location. It's very close to Metro Line 1, just around the corner, and there are tons of restaurants nearby. It's only a 7-8 minute walk to Muta Lane and Dazhong Lane, and within walking distance to Zhangye Road Pedestrian Street, Zhongshan Bridge, and the Yellow River where you can enjoy some tea. Zhengnin Road Night Market is a bit further, about a 15-20 minute walk. Overall, the location is impeccable. Environment: The environment is also good. The lobby offers tea and coffee. Daily cleaning was prompt and thorough. The room had a humidifier and an air purifier, and the hairdryer was a Dyson. The mini-bar included Coke and Sprite. All in all, the facilities were quite good. Breakfast: The breakfast selection wasn't extensive, and the uncle working there was always on his phone, so it took me two days to realize they offered freshly cooked noodles and fermented rice soup. However, getting a full meal was definitely not a problem. There's a laundry room and a gym, but they are a bit small, with only one washing machine and one treadmill. Downsides: 1. When I booked on Trip.com, it mentioned a free room upgrade, but upon arrival, I was told all three upgradeable rooms were booked, so they switched it to free breakfast instead. 2. The soundproofing in the room wasn't great; I could hear conversations and TV from next door. Luckily, no one was loud late at night during my stay. 3. During peak hours, the water pressure wasn't strong enough and it wasn't hot enough, and the elevator wait time was long. I've stayed at a few Atour hotels, and the soundproofing and hot water issues seem to be common, making me wonder if it's a design standard problem."
