★★★★★ I had a fantastic stay at the HanTing Hotel (Lanzhou Zhongshan Bridge Zhangye Road Pedestrian Street). Everything about this hotel exceeded my expectations, from the amenities to the incredible hospitality. Outstanding Service The highlight of my stay was the exceptional help from the front desk, specifically Mr. 芦彦林. Since I don't speak much Chinese, I was worried about the logistics of my trip to the Bingling Temple Grottoes. Mr. 芦彦林 went above and beyond by making several phone calls to my driver to ensure every detail was coordinated. He was incredibly thorough, asking the driver many detailed questions to make sure my trip would be smooth and safe. His kindness and dedication truly made my visit stress-free. Great Amenities and Breakfast The buffet breakfast was excellent. There was a wide variety of high-quality options to choose from, providing a perfect start to a long day of sightseeing. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. Prime Location You couldn't ask for a better location in Lanzhou. The hotel is situated right by the Zhangye Road Pedestrian Street and within walking distance of many major attractions, including Zhongshan Bridge. Accessibility: It is very close to the subway and numerous bus lines, making it incredibly easy to navigate the city. Convenience: Plenty of shopping and local dining options are right at your doorstep. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Lanzhou, especially international travelers. The service provided by Mr. 芦彦林 and the rest of the staff is world-class!

I stayed in this hostel for a total of 5 nights, with two breaks when I went on tours outside of Lanzhou. I have put in reviews earlier, so this is my final for the hostel that had begun to feel like Home. The hostel itself is very comfortable a stay: clean, comfortable wide bed with sliding door for privacy, nice seating areas... It is run by a family who take turns staying over so that there is 24 hour reception. All are friendly and kind, especially the father. The parents don't speak English but you can easily use a translation app; other guests will probably interact with you. The location: it is situated about a 5 minute walk to the Yellow River Tower, and a further 10 minute walk to the Lanzhou Old Street area where there is an amazing array of food options. Just outside the hostel is a Halal (Muslim-run) restaurant called (Ruhua 如华）which the hostel owners say have been in operation for 20 or 30 years. The hand-pulled (手抓) mutton that I had there was fantastic, even though I am typically not a mutton eater --- the taste is a delicate and balanced mix of light spices (I could taste a hint of ginger, for example) and saltiness. And the 八宝茶 is also excellent. A 7 minute walk to the right after exiting the hostel (past the above -mentioned restaurant) to the main road where many buses ply, you will find another good mix of local food options, especially in the morning. The hostel is conveniently located near the Lanzhou West railway station. There is a bus 136 that runs just outside the hostel and gets you to the railway station in 20 minutes. Hope this helps someone deciding on where to stay in Lanzhou, since there doesn't seem such a good range of hostels. This hotel is the most cost-effective hotel I have stayed in since my trip. More than 100 can live in the city center. Downstairs is Ma Anjun Spicy Beef Noodles. Next to it is the food commercial street, Lanzhou Center, Gansu Provincial Museum, very close to the bus station and subway station, very convenient to travel, The attitude of the boss is also very good. As for the situation mentioned in other comments, I think this has to be seen. If you have high requirements for the hotel, you can go to stay for four or five hundred and one nights. This hotel is more than one hundred and one night. What kind of bicycles, if you come out to play, stay in the hotel for the night, I highly recommend this hotel if there is no additional need.

I stayed in a 4-person room. The room was minimalist and medium-small, with lockers – basic but comfortable. The common area is stylish and inviting, with plenty of seating, cozy corners, plants, kettles, and power outlets, though it’s on a high floor with a glass ceiling – warm when hot, cozy when cold, and the few fans aren’t always enough. The staff at the desk were friendly, laundry facilities available, though no snacks or cold drinks. The area is urban, among regular buildings, so not particularly attractive from the outside, but within walking distance to the museum and the metro station, with a large supermarket and several food options nearby. Overall, a decent place to stay in Lanzhou.

On the map this hotel is about 900m away from the Lanzhou West train station, but I would advise you to take a taxi/ride-hail vehicle if you have large/heavy luggage. You have to either cross an overhead bridge without lift to reach the hotel, and because the stretch of road has buildings beside it that are undergoing construction, it can be a bit difficult to navigate the footpath which sometimes spills over to the road. Alternatively, you can take the metro for one stop and backtrack, but you would have to put your luggage through the scanner, let security test your liquids in the luggage, etc. There is a convenience store outside the hotel, but otherwise there isn't much shopping to be done. The location is good only because it is near the train station.

My family booked this hotel for a trip to Lanzhou. On the day of check-in, they gave us two bowls of beef noodles for each of our two rooms (probably as a reward for a positive review). Because I booked the hotel, I couldn't leave a positive review upon check-out, so the hotel held onto 20 yuan of our money until we left a positive review to refund it. The hotel environment, location, and cleanliness were all good, but this practice of forcibly deducting money from our reviews is extremely distasteful! This review represents only my personal opinion; please do not contact my family!

Facilities: Very comprehensive, the community is large, very quiet, very close to Lan Wenli Hygienic: Very good, every place is very clean Environment: Very good, everyone is polite, no sound at night, suitable for a good night's sleep Service: The aunt speaks very nicely and friendly, and the hotel price is affordable.

*If you are going to Lanzhou …* … this is the hotel to stay especially if you are an independent traveller! Even before arrival we reached out to Li and she promptly promised to send a car to meet us upon arrival at Langzhouxi. The Tumendun metro station is right in front of the hotel. So is the bus stop which serves buses running to several Lanzhou attractions. Aside from the obvious locational advantages the thing that strikes me most is the warmth and hospitality of the family running the place. Everyone from father, mother, 2 sons to DIL was eager to help with any questions that we might have. We couldn’t believe how patient they were in providing invaluable insights for the benefit of the tourist. The room and bathroom were kept clean. Hot and cold water were readily available as well as a kettle. We are grateful and would like to thank the whole family for treating us like family during our short stay here!

The owner is very nice, the environment is clean and hygienic, and everything is complete. The toilet even comes with a toilet seat cover, which is very thoughtful and matches the picture perfectly.

위치를 알면 최고의 숙소인데 , 외국인에겐 다소 어렵다. 중국어를 조금 할 수 있는 나도 1시간가량 헤맸다. 특히 여기쪽 말을 하나도 못알아들어서. 그래도 우여곡절 찾아갔다. 일찍 체크인을 해줘서 감사했다. 그러나 첫인상은 그다지 긍정적이지 않았다. 거실에서 너무 자연스럽게 담배를 피는 손님을 만났다. 그 다음은 숙소가 너무 어두워서 심지어 불을 켜도 그랬다. 낮에도 밤같은. 그렇지만 침대는 아득하고 모든 설비가 있어 편했다. 심지어 작은 접이식 책상까지 ~ 사장님 센스에 감탄했다. 근데 화장실 세면대에는 계속 담뱃재가 있었고 담배냄새로 가득했다. 남녀공용이었는데, 이부분이 힘들었다. 비흡연자에게 담배냄새는 고통이다. 결국 목 안까지 부었다. 담배를 피는 사람들에게 그리고 중국어에 아주 익숙한 사람들에겐 괜찮은 장소이다. 비흡연자 그리고 화장실이 공용인 관계로 여성에게 추천하지 않는다.
