Palazzo Dama - Preferred Hotels & Resorts

Spagna Rome|1.35km from Parco Sabotino-Montesanto
We had stayed there a few months prior. Expensive but location is good, about 15 minute walk from Spanish steps. Bathrooms have one sink with absolutely no space to place your toiletries. So not easy to use. This time, we were reserved for one night in Rome. We arrived early at 10:30 AM and left our luggage until the room was ready. Upon returning to check in at about 5:30, we go to our room to find out it is 28* (82.5 F) - see photo. We thought someone simply forgot to turn on the air. So we did and waited for it to cool down. An hour later, at 6:30, the room was 29* (84 F)! - see photo. as We had to leave for dinner reservations with friends but first went to the front desk. When we informed the responsible person at the front desk, Valeria, we were told they had had maintenance there earlier in the day to fix a ventilation problem in several rooms. This was not mentioned to us at any point earlier. We told her we cannot sleep in that heat. Her reply was that they cannot get maintenance back to try to fix it. They cannot move us to another room. They would instead have the bell boy (!!!) look into it. We asked to be informed even though we would be at dinner. We were contacted at 9:30 PM while having dinner to be told they did check and maybe it improved but it will still be hot. We returned later in the evening. Room still at 29* (84 F). The Night Shift person at the reception said he was aware, but of course could not do anything. He said the only thing he could offer was to move us to their sister property at the center of Rome. Why nobody had suggested this at 6:30 PM was a mystery. It was now 11:30 PM. We would have had to pack and arrange or wait for a transport, check into another hotel, and unpack again. We estimated we would likely end up sleeping at about 2 AM. Not a good solution. They had put a fan in the room. However, it was dirty (see photo), and when we turned it on there was a smell. Having been met with a series of “can’t do anything” we had no hope the reception attendant would be able to generate another, cleaner fan. We ended up opening the window instead. Unfortunately, the hotel gives onto a very busy, very noisy boulevard. So we did not sleep a wink. It was either heat or noise. We were exhausted the next morning. Valeria was back at reception the next morning at check out. She said she checked with her superiors and they would give us a discount. They still charged us about 300 Euros! She acknowledged the situation was mishandled, that we should have: a) been told there was a problem when we checked in; b) offered the option to be moved to the sister property earlier when it was feasible. However, they would still charge us. But she would speak to her superiors and email us. I received an email the next day: they are charging about 300 Euros. I called. Spoke to Georgia, the hotel manager. Her attitude was that they have expenses. So they need to charge us. It was clear that there was no consideration for the

Rose Garden Palace Roma by Omnia Hotels

Via Veneto Rome|2.82km from Parco Sabotino-Montesanto
We enjoyed a 3 night stay at Rose Palace. The front desk gave us tired travelers a warm welcome that made us relax immediately. Our room overlooked the back of the American Embassy with guards stationed outside 24/7 so it was definitely safe. The hotel is a little off the beaten path from the usual touristy spots in Rome but in a very quiet area. The room was very clean. We had 3 in our room and the 3rd person had to sleep on a full size pull out couch. It was comfy for a pull out (you couldn’t feel the bar under the mattress) but unless you put up the bed every day the only place to sit were the beds. It had a small fridge and the bathroom was updated but limited on counter space around the sink. The buffet breakfast was geared toward a variety of tastes. Scrambled eggs, a variety of pastries, orange juice, fresh fruit, yogurt, cereal, cheese, meat, etc. When the weather was nice we enjoyed sitting outside in the garden. There is a tiny grocery store called Co-op around the corner where you can buy the basics. Also on the next block is an ATM in the alcove of the bank entrance that seemed secure to use. Reading older reviews we thought there was a restaurant in the hotel serving dinner but it turned out to just be a small bar. So we walked a couple of blocks north and ate at Cesarina and enjoyed a good meal and friendly staff. There were a lot of other restaurants to pick from in a 2-3 block radius. The ones on Via Vittorio Veneto appeared to be more expensive than the ones northeast of the hotel. There is a taxi stand a couple of blocks away and we used both Uber and inTaxi for rides back to the hotel.

Residenza Mazzini

The location is very convenient, very close to the subway station and bus station, and the travel is very good. The room is very clean and can be cleaned every day. The bath towels are changed once every three days. If you need to change every day, breakfast is included in the room fee. breakfast is provided every day at 8:00, but you need to put the order information at the front desk before 6:00 the night before . There are also restaurants around the hotel It is also very convenient to eat. In short, this hotel, I think the price is very high and it is recommended. There is an elevator, it is very good not to climb the stairs. There is also a small balcony in the room, I like it very much.
Roma in Una Stanza Guesthouse

There are not many places to eat nearby, and there are not many places to buy things. It may be a residential area, so there are fewer people. The house number is hidden and not easy to find. Be sure to communicate with Ctrip for a good time, or if no one can receive it, the receptionist is not always there, only at the scheduled time. If it is too late, it is not recommended to stay here, no one will serve after 7 o'clock, and it is a bit desolate.

Breakfast is simpler and coffee is good. The location is close to the Vatican and the security is good! Castle-style room for those who have a dream of living in a European castle. The service is quite good. The taxi that the hotel helped to call quickly was very formal. Come to Rome for a hotel to choose from!

Disappointed. Got off to a promising start, however rapidly declined. Neighbourhood close go trams/ well situated. The room was lovley very large open space beautiful. Anytime you run the water or flush the toilet. There is a very loud noise that comes from the water basin. When I asked I was told its due to it being organic facilities?!?! Also sometimes it smells like sewers (however i didnt bother bringing this up because what really could be done?.... i couldn't have a nice peaceful shower because the noise was like two pieces of metal grinding against each other. But I got on with it, sometimes I felt uncomfortable even going toilet late night due to the noise it made once I flushed. As for the room day 1 2 3 it was cleaned It was fine. Day 4 I had gone to Florence for the day so left around 7am came home around 8pm. Room wasn't cleaned. I thought it was strange but I messaged and asked it be cleaned tomorrow. I was hit with a rude message saying I had to hang my clean my room sign out but i hadnt done that day 1 to 3 ???????????. I had attractions booked everyday and left at 8am but she also tried to tell me the days it was cleaned was because i was in my room???. SO THAT WAS A LIE! CLEANING IS 1030 TILL 1230 ....yet the other 3 days i hadnt hung out my sign to clean room. Bit bizzare but anyway I was happy with my room being cleaned the next day as I was out again all day. Well i came home to the attached message saying to not leave my towels on the floor. But if you see the bathroom tag it says leave on FLOOR OR BIDET... I could tell by this point I had aggravated them for asking why my room had not been cleaned and what that crunching noise was everytime i used the bathroom. I spoke to the lady on the bnb floor and shown her the tag and she apologised stating. ” we all make mistakes”.Also the second part of the note saying do not use for face wipes. This was the makeup from the top of my head when washing my hair. At this point it is getting petty. They even give the taxi driver the wrong airport to drop me!!!!! Luckily I asked and we had to turn around I will not come back again. The whole experience and lack of communication has put a soure taste on this bnb. And I just wouldn't recommend. Spring for the extra 100 pounds and book a hotel. The apartment block it is situated in is very old and run down. The lift is terrifying and once I got in it I couldn't open the door. It's 5 flights up which I did 3 times a day. A choice of my own. Communication on their end is really poor, snooty notes, pettiness and messages which I will attach. I DO NOT recommend.
