"This hotel is very conveniently located for access to and from the M1 (which is why I chose it). The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars for location is because if you fancy taking a stroll into the nearby village, perhaps for a pub meal and a drink, then the footpath is non- existent in places and you need to be careful in the dark. But that's not the hotel's fault and as the hotel is clearly set up for travelling business customers, I suppose most people would just drive a couple of minutes to the local pubs (which were more lively than the hotel bar). Aside from that, everything else was fine. The staff were all helpful and polite and the breakfast was delicious and filling. And the room was fine too. Overall, this hotel worked well for me on this occasion and I am happy to recommend it"
"Everything was lovely but the staff were not very friendly and we were not informed about the £200 pound deposit we needed to put down or that we would be locked out of our room at 11am
Would definitely stay again, but it would have been nice to have a tiny bit more info and customer service"

"The location is great. Located on the street where all banks, stores, supermarkets and restaurants located. The st albans cathedral abbey is just located opposite of the hotel. However, for the amenities, it would be best if they could provide hair conditioner."
"Stayed for a festival nearby. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Food was great, we had lunch and breakfast and both were lovely. Rooms were clean and comfortable and felt like they had recently been updated. 10/10 would stay again."
"The room was clean and well presented . Check in was made more difficult as the screen did not work for both ourselves and others which meant waiting for a receptionist to man the desk. She was polite and efficient. The breakfast was good. Parking was limited and we paid for parking on a nearby street . This turned out to be cheeped than the multi story car park even when the discount was applied
Overall we were pleased with our two night stay in St Albans. This was the fourth forth hotel we stayed at and was certainly the best of the bunch"
"The location is perfect, situated just opposite of the St. Albans Cathedral Abbey. Their service was great too, the receptionist was kind and friendly. As for the cleanliness... the room is very clean. However, the room is very old. Creaking floors and walls. Uneven floors. Their isnt mold visually but there are moldy smells. There are cobwebs but only if you see closely. Their bed are extremely soft, like sleeping on marshmallows. Their TV have no channels at all, so nothing to watch. They do provide free wi-fi. As for amenities, all in provided including body wash, shampoo and bar soap. In the room, they have iron board, iron and hair dryer. Those who wanting for a drink, situated at their reception is a bar itself."
