All rooms are riverside inns with great views. You can also enjoy delicious meals. Yamagata Prefecture has abundant ingredients, so you can enjoy it no matter what you eat. . From here, you can feel the seasons by walking along the Mogami River.

川の駅最上峡くさなぎの隣に有ります。 最上川に面し、また国道47号沿いに有ります。 フロントでチェックイン。 まずはラウンジ脇のカウンターで、最上川を眺めながら、ウェルカムコーヒー（セルフサービスですが）をいただきます。 部屋へはエレベーターで。 一階のエレベーター前にはアメニティが、降りた所には浴衣が置いてあるので、それぞれ持っていきます。 部屋は和室にローベッドが。 床の間を壊して、ローベッドを壁に寄せて2台置いてあります。 窓からは最上川。 残念ながら、白糸の滝は角度が悪く、麓の鳥居しか見えません。 お風呂は一階。内湯と露天です。 匂いからは、ナトリウム泉のようです。 狭いですが、そもそも定員も少ないので、混むことは有りません。 サウナは付いていません。 タオルは一階エレベーター前に置いてあるのを持っていきます。 ご飯は、豪華でした。 米の娘豚が美味しかったです。 1箇所、天井の蜘蛛の巣が気になりました。 温泉旅館ですが、和服を着ている従業員はいませんでしたが、グループ系のお宿ですので、従業員の教育はしっかりされていたと思います。

部屋、風呂、特に夕食は全く期待や評価を下回る内容で、一流に見せかけた三流の宿です。一泊2食一万円なら普通評価できます。冷凍を解凍したような前菜、野菜、デザート。ありふれた普通のしゃぶしゃぶ。料理長名があるお品書きの焼き魚は、厚さ5ミリほどの硬いカサカサ、パサパサで、箸が通りません。ど田舎のスーパーの売れ残り以下です。朝食は多少マシでしたが薄っぺらなパサパサ焼き魚は安価なチェーンホテル以下。悪口が多くなりましたが、料理の『見た目』は写真映えする小鉢小皿が並び可愛いかったです。また、和室に敷いた厚さ20cm程のベッドはシモンズでしたが、狭い洗面所にあるコップが紙コップに呆れ笑いました。見た目ではない本物、一流とは何かを学び、目指して下さい。

ロングステイ(13時チェックイン11時チェックアウトの22時間)のプランで利用しました。 部屋には大きなソファが最上川と山々に面しておかれ、まるで絵のような景色を堪能し、思わず「五月雨を集めて早し最上川」の句を口ずさんでしまいました。 大浴場、露天風呂からも最上川が一望できます。温泉のお湯は薄い白濁湯でした。誰も いなかったので、贅沢気分でした。内湯でも露天風呂でも半身浴ができて良かったです。浴室の人数を4名までにしていたので、混まずに利用できました。 なお、温泉名は草薙(くさなぎ)温泉です。 ロビーにてフリーコーヒーをいただきました。ロビーエリアも雰囲気が良い感じです。 夕食は会場でしたが、各テーブル間も広く、先に黙食も言われていたので、大声の人もいなかったです。 食事は見た目も味も良く、地酒と良く合いました。特に県産ブランド豚「米の娘豚」の豚しゃぶが、2種類のタレでとても美味しくいただきました。 朝食は飲み物のみがバイキング方式で、品数が多い和定食で、満足の朝食しました。 こちらのお宿はホスピタリティも良く、スタッフの方たちは皆様、親切、丁寧でした。 人のぬくもりと大自然に、癒されました。
