Hampton Inn San Antonio Stone Oak

The hotel is a little older, and there’s quite a bit of wear and tear, but other than that it was great.

They didn’t have enough cocoa and you had to ask for it every time. They didn’t have enough bagels either. On Sunday they didn’t have waffle dough nor bagels. But the service was very good. The man was kind and friendly as well as the women at reception.

Didn’t get the two beds I paid for because ******* is third party and doesn’t guarantee you’ll get what you pay for. My shower had hair in it as well :(

Second time we've been here. Very pleasant place, well-kept, staff is friendly and helpful, breakfast was delicious and good variety, beds were comfortable, nice clean room. The only downside is we were near some sort of laundry or a/c/heat unit, and there was a constant noise in the bathroom (not really overly loud, though). We will likely be back, as it is conveniently located near family.

Check in was easy and quick. Staff was friendly. Breakfast was good and fully stocked. Room was good and comfy. My only downfall was the gym. I wanted to use the treadmill but it wouldn't turn on, same with the elliptical. It also looked like it hadnt been cleaned up in awhile.

Having stayed at this property previously, the fiancee and I booked another stay on our recent trip to San Antonio. While our first stay was very good, this visit left a lot to be desired. The toilet refused to flush unless you pressed the handle all the way down and held it. Otherwise, it simply made noise and filled with water. The folding glass closet door broke on the first night of our stay. It jammed and we were unable to push it back into position. It remained partially opened with sharp corners sticking out into the hallway. It made for very careful steps when using the bathroom at night. Rather than break the door trying to fix it, we left it for room service. Room service cleaned the room and left the broken door as is. Nor did anyone show up to fix it. The bed sheets were too small. Every time you turned over or moved, one of the corners would come loose. Because the sheets were so small it was impossible to secure them. So throughout our entire 3-night stay we had loose sheets all night. The futon in the King Bed room was filthy and gross. It had huge stains and badly needed a deep leaning. I flat-out refused to sit or set my clothes on it. Otherwise, the room / bathroom was pretty clean overall. Overall, this isn't a bad place to stay for 2-3 nights. We'll probably try it again on our next trip to San Antonio due to the quality of our first stay. If they disappoint again I'll find another property in the same area.

Friendly staff and convenient location. Good breakfast and clean room. Our mattress was a little bouncy and probably needs updated for an expensive hotel room.
