The hotel obviously relies on coach party groups. We were a member of such a group. Dining room management let the hotel down. Tables were crammed in with the backs of chairs touching the chairs of the tables behind. Diners had to take their seats in sequence because there was no space to pass. The waiters delivered food to the end of the row of tables and plates had to be passed hand-to-hand along the row. In a way this was nostalgic to me and reminded me of the 1960's school dinners. Butlins holiday camp, and the army in Aldershot. An obvious solution is to copy what is done on cruise ships. Have two sittings, say 6.00pm and 8.00pm. The room was comfortable and bathroom good. The single small lift could not really cope with the large number of elderly and infirm guests.

Not equipped for disabled people. Mobility aids had to be left in reception, we not allowed any further into hotel. 2 of the receptionists spoke to customers like they were dirt for example when asked a question about the room for the second time replied “I’m busy ask elsewhere” Room very very small and lacked draw space, unfinished with covers missing, no handle inside shower and could only get to en-suite by walking side wards between bed and half finished wardrobe. Lack of enough hangers in wardrobe, only 2 complete rest broken or missing. Carpet had burns on and a stain, when reported was told don’t worry we will not accuse you of doing it, but, nothing done. Showerleaked Breakfast queues were dreadful due to buffet placing and too many tables packed in to the dinning room Not able to receive internet in room despite reporting twice and being told no problem, however a staff member told me a previous visitor had already reported the same problem

The hotel is very tired dingy the rooms quit small with some showers over the bath which makes it very dangerous for older people. The food we found was disgusting overcooked vegetables tough meat dishes and the fish which was supposed to be poached was like cardboard French onion soup was pale tasteless and greasy. We were reprimanded for being 10 min late by a very rude waitress and told we were not allowed starters because we were late even though there were guests arriving after we sat down. Would highly recommend you not to use this hotel, Also the lift broke down which meant climbing four quite steep staircases a terrible experience never to be repeated

Overall very clean. The process to book in as a group booking is a joke. The queue for breakfast is awful. A few of the staff need training in manners, especially some of the bar staff, i certainly wouldn't employ them . The bar is closed before the time stated, when entertainment finishes they basically want to go home and hover around you. No entertainment on a Thursday evening. Mouldy cheese on my evening meal. Slow service meal times . Oh and if your late tpu are told you have to forget your starter meals are ok, nothing to brag about. No gravy offered with your evening meal. One lady asked ,to which she was told its on your meat. Although it was provided after. One of the entertainment rude.Fire doors wedged open, yesterday morning ( big no no) . And finally to the rude staff if you don't enjoy your job ,don't work in a establishment which involves good customer service.

Stayed at the Trouville Hotel for a soul weekend. The hotel is right on the sea front, so great views of the sea , cliffs and pier. Room was very clean with a lovely modern bathroom. Great towels. Bed was really comfortable. The food, three course, was really good and great portion size. Full english breakfast, the same, with a choice of cereal, porridge, fresh fruit, yoghurt, kippers and juices. Delicious all round. The staff were so friendly, everyone, reception, bar staff, restaurant staff and cleaners. Nothing was too much trouble. An all round great stay. Would definately return. Thank you Trouville.

I travelled with my friend on a 6 day coach tour. There was nothing to complain about for the amount of money we paid. We had a sea view room on the 3rd floor (quite a lot of steps to climb if you did not want to wait for the lift). The lift is only small and holds 4 people and is only really busy when a coachload arrives in the hotel at once. All the staff work so hard and are friendly and efficient. A special mention to Kieran on the bar who looked after me with my decaf tea and who filled up my water bottle holder in the evening. It is staff like that who make your holiday so much more memorable. Food was very good, hotel very clean and staff very good. No complaints at all.

We recently stayed at the Trouville Hotel on a coach tour. It was very busy with a number of tours staying at the same time. Restaurant service was fantastic, Sharon looked after us very well, thank you Sharon. Food was served quickly and efficiently with a good variety of dishes and vegetables. Large bar area with good service, entertainment and a games room. Our room was at the front of the hotel on the first floor. We had a sea view and the room and room service was first class. Unfortunately some youths hung around outside until late and seemed drunk and were abusive among themselves. The odd guest ignored the polite request not to smoke outside the front of the hotel, which meant smoke blew into the hotel.

Lovely location, right opposite the beach. As a solo traveller, I was concerned that I might be in a tiny room without a view. In fact, I had a side sea view in a decent sized room. Breakfast is chaotic if everyone arrives at once, as most queue for juice and cereals; I bypassed and went straight to the table. Everyone had to sit where they were allocated on the first night, which makes life easier for the staff. Swift service from very busy staff. Food ok; always a fish main course, meat and a vegetarian choice. Plenty vegetables. Food hot when served. Staff friendly. Room cleaned every day by a friendly lady (Gill). Nothing to complain about.

Having been to this hotel in past I was most impressed with improvements in particular to to Menus and presentation of the food. It was obvios from the outset that taht there must a new chef. - NO chips or Battered fish for a whole week -BRILLENT. Well done Chef.
