Best Hotels in Malé, Maldives

Overall, our stay was unpleasant. From the time we checked in to the time we checked out. When we entered the hotel they essentially made us feel that we were unwelcomed. No smile, no hello, nothing! I have never experienced this level of hospitality in my lifetime. Room size We had booked a ”Deluxe Double Room with Balcony and Sea View” (booked almost 1.5 months before) and it was supposed to be one of the best rooms in this hotel (2nd best to be precise). The room was tiny and couldn't even accommodate our luggage. Bed size It was supposed to be a ”large double bed” but it was tiny that we couldn't sleep well. We had 5 years old - already mentioned while booking. They could have simply rejected our booking by saying that the bed would not accommodate a kid. Bathroom and accessories It was again very small. There was nothing. No hand towel, soap, toothbrush, or sleepers. There was a shower gel and a shampoo. And some tiny lizards in the bathroom which was scary for my kid to use the washroom. I must mention that one of the staff was helpful in getting rid of one of those lizards we encountered and I had to shoo the rest of them away by myself. Pricing on Booking.com We paid 336$ for two nights on booking dot com and expected better rooms and services but the actual room cost which I got to know at the hotel was only 80$/night which explains why the services were not great. Booking dot com definitely fleeced us. You can directly reach out to the hotel to book the room if you're interested. Also, we had planned to spend two days in the city to explore after spending a few days on a private island. Though one day was enough to explore the city! Overall, it is a 2-star hotel and not recommended for a family. Good for solo travellers for a short stay (not more than a night). I would not recommend this hotel to a couple! The only positives were the sea view from the room and the location.

The airport transport was super smooth. The staff received us at the airport soon as we came out of the arrival gate, and within minutes we were escorted to the transfer vehicle with no hassle. It was sufficient a night's rest before we can check-in to our resort the next day. Very satisfied stay overall :)

Great hotel! Just next to the beach, the beach is so beautiful, the hotel is very new, the bed is very comfortable, and it is very clean, everything in Maldives is so beautiful, it feels like being in paradise. The breakfast is very delicious and there are many types. The restaurant is elegant and suitable for vacation. Thank you for all team staffs. We are looking forward to come again.

We stayed here for the second time before catching our flight home after a dive trip. It is fine for one night, the room was clean and the air con worked great. This island is man made, so space is at a premium. We booked a twin in the hope that we might have a bit more bed space, but the floor space was not really big enough to have both our dive bags open at the same time. However the staff were absolutely delightful. The rooftop restaurant was really nice and the food and service was great. We had to leave at 5.15 and there was a lovely breakfast spread out with yogurt and juices and fruit beautifully presented. We would not hesitate to stay there again.

My family and I were taken care of by Kishore, who was an exceptional host. He helped us from the moment we arrived until the day we departed, always making sure we were comfortable throughout our stay. The Hard Rock hotel is well equipped with everything one could desire on a family vacation. The swimming pool and beach have a great atmosphere frequently filled with music events and activities. The food is top notch and very diverse. Fitness enthusiasts can enjoy from a wide range of activities, such as Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (highly recommended), weight training center, Zumba classes and more. We will definitely return for a second round of paradise.

Hygiene: The most important thing for hotels in this price range in Madai is cleanliness. This one is very good. The room itself is relatively small, but very clean. The bathroom is particularly clean and there is no odor. This alone is worth the price of admission. Service: For a hotel, the second most important thing is the convenience of transfer. Inform your next destination when you check in, and the hotel will take the initiative to contact you for pick-up and drop-off. And the hotel itself is on the artificial main stage, very close. You need to return to the airport island from here to transfer water and speedboat, and you will be there in 10 minutes. Taking the initiative to carry luggage and so on is considered a standard feature of Maldives. What was beyond expectation was that the breakfast area was small but had an unparalleled view. Living on the 8th floor, having breakfast on the 9th floor, all with direct sea views. The flocks of pigeons downstairs are definitely an unforgettable memory. A hotel worth passing by again.

The hotel is right next to the beach, gorgeous sea view from the room. The hotel staff Amy, was friendly and ever ready to give the best recommendation for a few hour walk in male, from shopping to where to shop for souvenirs and she also recommended us to take a short ferry to villemale which only cost less than $1 to and fro from Male jetty to the island. Great advice that just keep our time worth staying in Amber beach hotel.

advantage: The price is cheap, the location is excellent, not far from the airport, there is a free pick-up and drop-off, including breakfast. The staff are very enthusiastic, and they are very professional about the time to go to the airport and go to the island the next day. Satisfied with the service. The best thing is that the blue sea is at the entrance of the hotel, and the water will fly by for a while. From the second we got there - we were treated amazingly! From the check in process to the room to everything in between - the start of our honeymoon couldn’t be more spectacular. First the service - very attentive and helpful, and they had all these special treats for us because it was our honeymoon. Second the room - feels like a NY high rise but every inch was meticulously planned with a balcony and ocean view - it was the best. The front staff are very helpful, we got to explore the capital a bit before leaving which was a great experience - such a rich culture! The food was amazing as well - the dinner was so tasty, and the buffet breakfast included was phenomenal. We can’t say enough good things about this place. 10/10!!

We recently stayed at Saii Lagoon, and I can't say enough about this place. The property is simply wonderful, and the staff is exceptional. We had a dreamy stay, and this was largely due to the kindness and efficiency of the staff. Yasser was particularly attentive and ensured our stay was most enjoyable. His availability, professionalism, and friendliness truly made a difference. I highly recommend Saii Lagoon to anyone looking for a luxurious stay in a beautiful setting with top-quality service.
