Hotels near Old Site of the Central Special Operations Division of the CPC in Shanghai

This a a cute hotel in a great location if you want to go out in downtown Shanghai, since its surrounded by restaurants and bars. The room is of a good size and although the soundproofing isnt amazing there were no noisy guests on my floor so I slept well and the bed was warm and comfortable. The reception staff were friendly and efficient,and there is a nice cafe downstairs. The sink in the bedroom area is a little odd but that is really the only bad thing I can say.

this place is a rather perfect fit for teenagers, the new gen who like to walk around the city; hotel is located in the city center which only takes 800m walk to reach the shopping center and Jing'an Temple; the nearby hotel also has several bars, restaurants, and a nail spa, and most places are a perfect fit for Western European styles; plus also nearby 2 train lines (line 7 and line 14) which you can take to several places.

One of my criteria when choosing a hotel is it has to be within walking distance to a subway/ Metro station. Urcove @ Hyatt in Pingan is located just across Wuding station (Exit 1 is across while Exit 2 is about 100m on the same side). For less than $140, I got a superior room with breakfast included. Room: Clean and spacious. The toilet is separated from the bathroom. It doesn't have a bathtub which is fine with me. So one can use the toilet while the other can take a bath. It has a sofa set beside the super single bed (there are 2 beds) which I loved as I would plonk myself on it after a long,tired day of sightseeing/shopping/ walking. The view overlooks the city and you can see the metro station that is directly below 😊 WiFi/ TV The WiFi is pretty weak. And i couldn't access YouTube/ Instagram/Tiktok/ Google using the hotel WiFi. TV programmes are quite limited. No English programmes. Breakfast Some reviewers complained about the lack of variety but we thought that the buffet selection is quite good. You have your usual porridge and Chinese breakfast menu, plus the eggs and sausages, cereal and bread. We enjoyed the morning breakfast during our stay. Hotel concierge The guest relation officers are helpful and friendly. The waitresses at the restaurants are also very friendly. I am very happy with the service rendered.👍 Convenience There are quite a few restaurants nearby. You can also order food and the hotel robot will send it to your room. (We didn't have food delivery because we were out for almost the entire day). As mentioned, the metro station is just across the road. I would take it from Wuding station (Line 14) to Jingan Temple station (Line 2)which is just one station away. People's Square/ Nanjing ok East stations (if you want to go to the Bund) are on Line 2. Line 2 also goes to both airports. (We actually took the metro train to Pudong International Airport station when we flew home. And it only costs ¥7! ) I would definitely stay in this hotel again when I visit Shanghai again.

The service was very friendly and speak good English, you can pay with a foreign credit card (which seems to be rare in China) nowadays. I stayed one night in the Mini room with a double night and enjoyed the stay. The wifi was good enough to watch a movie fluently and to have video calls! The only thing is that there is no window (only one to the corridor), so the air is not that fresh all the time, especially after taking a shower.

I always enjoye staying at this nice location hotel .Location is close to the subway, stores and restaurants.Staff was very friendly and accommodating . The room was spacious clean and very quiet the beds really comfortable .

The hotel is located in a prime location near multiple bars, restaurants, clubs, shopping malls and other points of interest. The breakfast is a bit typical but still enjoyable enough if you like Chinese buffet style breakfast. A very decent hotel stay in a quite spacious room! The staff is also polite and helpful!

A disappointing experience. I booked a room with a bathtub just for the bathtub. However, I checked in at 6pm and the boss informed me that I needed to upgrade the room. The reason was that many people in the bathtub room were dissatisfied with the bugs, so they removed the bugs, but there was no way to cure them, so I gave it to them. I changed it and I understand it. Then I still want to take a look. The boss said that the room card has not been pulled out yet, and he said that the card has not been hung out. In short, I can’t see the room now. I went to the hotel and waited for the phone call. I went into the room, went out to eat, came back, and went out for more than an hour. There was no one at the front desk, and there was only one bath towel in the room. I called the boss twice in total, but he didn’t answer the third call. I originally wanted to check out, but I thought it was troublesome so I just let it go. Forget these emotional discomforts, the musty smell in the room was a bit strong. Later, when I got rhinitis, I couldn't smell it anymore. When I woke up in the morning, I still smelled a musty smell. Then the rhinitis continued to attack. Overall, I was quite disappointed. If it weren't for the bathtub, it would really be inferior to a hotel at this price. Of course, the boss also gave us an upgrade. Because my friend arrived at the hotel early in the morning, we wanted to delay check-out. The boss asked us to wait until two o'clock. Unfortunately, the aunt knocked on the door at 12:30 and still didn't sleep well. All the floors in the community are so close to each other

We had a wonderful stay here at Hotel Equatorial Shanghai. Hotel is easily accessible from Jing'an temple metro station. The beautiful Jing'an Sculpture park is very close. Great location in a beautiful area for shopping and food or for leisurely walking . We found many great restaurants in the nearby area. And being so close to the subway puts the entire city at your doorstep. Hotel rooms are of a classic design. Solid walls ensured great sleep with no disturbances. Beds were very comfortable. Hotel staff are enthusiastic and very helpful when we had questions. A special recognition and thanks to the master chefs and staff in the kitchen. The breakfast buffet here is amazing and not to be missed! Everyday was delicious. Highly recommend! (and keep an eye out for the hotel robot that you will see gliding around and even taking the elevators!) :-)

Everything was perfect except, upon arrival to our room there was a notice on the table which said the swimming pool would be under maintenance the following day for one week. If you want a hotel with a swimming pool, always call the hotel first to confirm the pool is open since there will be no notice via the trip app before you book or after you book.

Second stay after very pleasant one two weeks ago, but slightly disappointed with a few things broken down in the room including the blue tooth speaker resulting in changing to another room which was a little hassle. Although nothing is perfect, but in a very competitive hospitality industry, the consistency of customers’ satisfaction maintains guests’ loyalty. Comparing with other hotels, Puli still stands out as a service oriented hotel. The amenities do look a bit tired and need to be taken care of or upgraded soon.
